Worst customer experience ever. I am (was) a long term customer in good standing, having bought thousands of dollars of glasses/lenses over the years and using Dr. Hanson for annual check-ups. I went into day to buy new frames and lenses after my recent prescription change. Met with Charles. I told I was appealing to him for some pricing help on frames and lenses due to issues I'd had with frames and lens positioning over the last three years....shared the issues. He recommended I downgrade my lenses which would have saved me a couple hundred dollars. Then he said he could give me 10% off $600 frames, which I was already entitled to as a repeat customer, I asked him if that was the best he could do. At which point he went off on me about asking for more...that I should deal with the manager and refused to give me a price. I said do you really want to lose this sale? He said I don't get anything off this sale because someone else recommended the frames (when I was in for my eye exam.) I said, just give me a price. He said, just deal with the manager. I said just give me a price. Which he finally did. I said, I'll buy them, but don't be snippy with me. At which point, he snatched the frames off the desk and refused to sell them. Apparently he has posted a note to my file about our encounter. This is my version. Unbelievable treatment for anyone, much less a senior citizen. read more

I'd give this place one star, except the doctor is nice and very efficient. Otherwise, though, I can't wait to take my prescription elsewhere. I have consistently had issues with actually acquiring my contacts in time unless I am talking to the doctor in person. I moved to Colorado recently, so I ordered contacts by phone. I paid the extra ~$15 for shipping, gave my address, paid. 8 DAYS later, I get a phone call: "Your contacts are ready to pick up!" Haven't heard anything else, still no contacts (it's now been 10 days since I ordered them). They should have immediately offered to expedite me a few pairs, or told me exactly when they would be here, or something...? This place used to not suck, but now it sucks. read more

I've been going to various locations of The Eye Gallery for seven years, they've been excellent at each location. That said, the Sandy Springs location is at another level - Dr Hansen is one of the best eye doctors I've ever seen (did some tests that others haven't done before, such as checking dominant eye), and Chris (the general manager) is an expert at picking out frames that suit each individual person. I also want to give the store massive props for continuing all COVID precautions - requiring face masks, cleaning the exam room between patients, ensuring that frames are sanitized after clients have tried them on, and having hand sanitizer easily accessible. With the Delta variant starting to spread more rapidly, I really appreciate The Eye Gallery staying on top of this. Thank you! read more

Unfortunately, the customer service I received today was unacceptable. I was 10 minutes late (appointment @10am) for my scheduled appointment. Currently, mobility is an issue due to recent severe foot injury. When I arrived, I was informed that am unable to see the eye doctor and need to reschedule. I attempted to reason with ( she did not provide me with her name when asked) the associates. However, the associates did say "have a nice day as I hobbled out of the store. I've been a client of The Eye Gallery for the last few years and have been so pleased with the services I have received at 2 of their locations: Buckhead and Sandy Springs. I initially met with Chris Economy at the Buckhead location with a new prescription from an eye doctor I've been using for over 20 years. He very patiently explained the differences in my new prescription as well as the different lens options I would have for a new pair of progressive glasses. He additionally asked what I wear my glasses for and after explaining that I wear just readers while working at the office and on a desktop computer, he suggested I consider a pair of "work glasses" that will give me more comfort while working and allow me to not have to continually remove the readers throughout the day. What a suggestion! In addition to purchasing new frames for everyday wear I also purchased his recommended "work glasses" which have been a great help all day in the office. Chris carefully suggested a variety of frames that would fit me well and after carefully taking my eye measurements for the new frames, he introduced me to his Buckhead General Manager, Jamie, who checked and rechecked my measurements in a variety of ways to make sure that my new glasses would be made as perfectly as possible. When the glasses arrived, both Chris and Jamie again took the time to check and recheck my comfort level and vision clarity when I picked up the glasses. It's been a few months since I purchased my 3rd set of new eye glasses from Chris, now working in the Roswell Road Sandy Springs location, but he's still offers the same top notice customer service that I was accustomed to when he was working with Jamie at their Piedmont Road Buckhead location. I had been eyeing a pair for awhile and he was very patient as I tried on a few pairs and hooked me up with a great durable case since I travel often. I have been an Eye Gallery customer for years - went to the one in Perimeter until it recently closed. I bought a pair of Tom Ford eyeglasses a couple of years ago. I need progressive lens so they are a pricey ticket. I went to the store today to pick out a smaller frame than the Tom Ford eyeglasses. Cynthia was absolutely wonderful! She knows the frames in the store and understood what I was looking for in a pair of glasses. I decided on a pair of Kate Spade, which are very attractive, and one of the first pair she showed me. We went through nearly every case and Cynthia was very patient and interested in making me happy with my purchase. Kudos to her for GREAT customer service! read more

It took them over a month to deliver me my glasses. Oh they had a 1000 excuses everytime as to why they were delayed. They NEVER called me to let me know delayed, I had to initiate contact every time after they had $900 of my money from day one......i was told they would refund part of the money i paid and of course they NEVER did. The people who worked there were very friendly and even let me take a test pair with me to show my wife who was shopping elsewhere. I have been coming here for a year or maybe two. I recently visited NYC and called to ask for my prescription to be sent over since I ran out of contacts. They did not send it and I had to call several times to ask them and still nothing was sent. I just had to make a new appointment to get an eye exam to finally get contacts since I can not get them to send my prescription.
