I'm not one to leave reviews but I have the biggest beef with this place, forever holding a grudge at their lack of professionalism. It's been like 3 years and I'm still mad. I went here and was prescribed two prescriptions - one with a lower strength eye prescription which the doctor said I could "test" to see if I like, and one with a higher strength eye prescription. I was then to call them back, let them know which I preferred, and place the order. I call in and tell them I didn't like the test ones and want to order an annual supply of the ones which were both high strength. They confirm and place the order I get the contacts (which were dailies aka very expensive) and put one pair in my eyes and immediately can tell they messed up and ordered it wrong I call them back and they basically say it's not their fault, nothing they can do, they just followed the doctors prescription. Since I opened the box they can't give me a refund First of all, we discussed the whole situation and you were incompetent because you did not check when I confirmed you were ordering the right ones. You just "yeah yeah whatever"'ed me Second, does the doctor not work for you? Are you not ultimately responsible? If not and the doctor is an independent contractor, then perhaps you should have internally discussed it with your contractor and came to an agreement. They basically refused to refund me. Every year they send me an email/text asking me if I wanna schedule my annual exam. No ma'am, I'll take my business to smart business people who realize that refunding 1 box of contacts from the mistakes of their employees is worth more money financially than losing out on years of exams and contacts orders Anyway, hope they're doing terrible. Poor customer service. They change their policy on repairs and warranties on a regular basis. They are not interested in honoring their warranties or repairing their products. You're better off going to a real eye center, and not a foreign owned eyeglass shop in the mall. Very expensive, not even competitively priced. read more

I went to this LensCrafters last week to get eye exam and my prescription glasses with my wife, Members at the sale are we're very kind and helpful, even though the were busy at the time, the eye doctor was very kind and respectful and listen to my concerns. 5 days later we went to pick up our prescription glasses, we arrived 10 minutes before the store closes, the sales associate greeted us with a worn hello and a pleasant smile and offered her help., she was very polite looked for our glasses and asked us to try them on she also ask us if the glasses were ok and comfortable than she asked if we were able to see clear., Thank you for your hard work ladies. Front desk girl was the tallest one there very skinny can't tell if she is middle eastern or Hispanic. I inquired what the process is like to be able to see glasses they don't have in stock and she just says you can look on your phone online, there's chairs over there. She points across the room for me to sit away from the front desk and tells me to google the inventory. That wasn't my question, I know how to google things. My question was regarding if I am able to order anything they don't have in store to see what they look like on or I ask her if she's able to check inventory on certain styles in other locations. She doubles down and tells me to google it this time asserts herself very aggressively and again points me to the empty seats across the room. Defeated I go sit and google lens crafters now searching through the thousands and thousands of glasses when I knew the certain ones I was looking for. I was still unable to see which ones were available in the stores near me. My bill was pricier than I though and when I asked to see the itemized receipt before I paid, she only turned the tablet for me to see and quickly pointed at the total dollar amount, when I reached out and asked to see the itemized list she pulls the IPAD back and taps and points three times back to the total. After that and her continuous attitude I apologized to her for wasting her time and told her I wouldn't be paying that much for such terrible service. I took my prescription and went to America's Best. Significantly cheaper there for same quality and they actually have nice associates who are willing to help and won't make you feel like a bother for going to THEOR job where THEY GET PAID TO WORK for services their job provides. You should put her in the back and definitely not to work the front desk. That wasn't a nearly $500 sale that walked out because of her consistency negative and demeaning behavior. read more

I called to see if my glasses would be repaired. I spoke to NICK he said yes I explained my glasses had warrantee he told me i would pay the co pay of $25. I mentioned the lens fell because they are rimless held on by a string and the string snapped. So no warranty needed for that repair. I brought my glasses in the next day. I approached the entrance of the store and was attended right away. My glasses were received by a male employee and i was told 45 min to complete the repair. I walked around the mall and came back in 40 min, i waited for 10 min before being approached by the red hair lady in the photo she had an attitude and was not interested or happy to attend NOR ACKNOWLEDGED the fact i was standing there! She was with a client and once done she walked all over! She went to the counter to the back then counter again. I was frustrated at this point with her inefficient unaccommodating manner. She finally walked over after 15 min and asked if i was waiting for something acting like i had no business there! I explained i left my glasses for repair. She got my name, left for another 5 min. When she came back she had a better attitude and customer service skills i bet she saw how much money i dropped there and adjusted her customer service around that. Regardless i was told 20 more minutes... with a smile this time. 20 minutes later im back at the entry and was IMMEDIATELY approached by RO. March 2022 I purchased two pairs of glasses from Lens crafters at the Moreno Valley mall location. $693.40 out of pocket. Both pairs were progressive lenses. I thought both pairs were great until the lenses on the distance pair that has progressive, transitional, anti glare had damage. The lenses have a permanent smudge that can't be cleaned off. The lenses are bad. I took the glasses into Lens crafters and was accused of using the wrong cleaner which was not true. The lenses were replaced because they were defective. The 2nd time I took them in to Lens crafters I was told not to use water on the lenses. I was not given a refund or a replacement. I asked for a copy of prescription and went to Costco. I was able to get frames, lenses (Transitional, progressive, brown tint, anti glare) for a total out the door $219. I have to say the my vision feels clearer than any pair of glasses I ever purchased at lens crafters. Think twice before wasting money at Lens crafters. read more

What an absolutely horrendous experience I had at Lens Crafters. I came in and made a last second appointment because I can't see at nighttime and wanted to get my eyes checked. They had an appointment for the following day which was great. I came in with my family and got checked in right away. The assistant did all my initial tests and then asked me for $50 if I wanted to do a retinal scan. The benefit is you can see inside the eye clearly, while also not needing to be dilated. I agreed, for the sake of being able to see fine after the check up. It was simple and painless, no problems there. For the exam itself, the doctor was very professional and thorough. She answered all my questions and we got my prescription for glasses, and I was returned to the retail area to look for frames. This is where I started to have issues, and major annoyances. I didn't see a pair of frames I wanted in their storefront, so I wanted to think about it and maybe look elsewhere for frames. I told the worker that I wasn't seeing anything and wanted to think about it and she said that was fine. I then asked for my pupillary distance to have in case I wanted glasses somewhere else and they refused to give that information to me. Claiming that it depends on frames etc. That is not the truth, they simply didn't want me to purchase frames elsewhere. Of course, it doesn't end here. I can't find my paper printout with my prescription. I called Lens Crafters for them to email that information and they said they can't do that, and can only fax the information. I gave them our fax number 3 days ago, and still, they have not sent it. I called them 3 times now to say that I need my prescription and they said they will do it when they have a chance. They are keeping my information hostage so I can't purchase frames anywhere else. I am absolutely FURIOUS. This has been going on almost a week now. The company I already purchased frames from is also having a hard time getting a hold of them. Funny story though, it is absolutely ILLEGAL to withhold my info. So, who knows, maybe Lens Crafters will have a lawsuit on their hands? Never, ever trust this business. Better yet, don't even do an eye exam there. They will lie to you, hide what's rightfully yours, and make your like miserable for as long as possible. Absolutely appalling business practices, disgusting. read more

The BEST Customer Service! I have been a LensCrafters Customer for at least 15 years, and I have to say the customer service is exceptional. It's especially great to find one person who can take care of you for years. We had that when we lived in the high desert (Cherish was amazing!), but due to COVID, we never had a chance to find anyone while we lived at the beach. Don't get me wrong, the customer service at Pacific View was good, but we didn't spend much time there. We just moved back to the IE and had to get glasses. Angie Tellez at the Inland Center Mall is our new person! She has taken excellent care of both my husband and me. Angie's knowledge, patience, and overall assistance made the chore of selecting glasses easier and really a bit of fun. I left LensCrafters feeling confident in the frames I chose and knowing I was getting the best lenses for my lifestyle. I took my husband in and was thrilled to see Angie there! She did all the same for him and was able to get him into prescription sunglasses with lenses designed specifically for golf. Inexcusable, Poor Customers service, - The Assistant Manager Nicholas Absolutely rude, My mother who is a senior came into the store, As she has several other times, she ran out of contacts and wanted a few contacts to get her to next week when she could order another 6 month supply. - my mother has done this 3x already without fail today, Nicholas wanted to display some kind of power it seemed like as he raised his voice trying to explain his policy to my mother, I had to interject and tell him to bring voice down. He's lucky my mom took me out of the store is all I have to say. - policies should clearly displayed and discussed with customers not yelled at them, unprofessional and rude, some management you have working there. I post this negative review after several bad experiences at this location. Let me first say that the Dr. & his staff are exceptional! They are all friendly & knowledgeable as well as professional. But the staff out front need to stop making mistakes. I brought glasses into them for a warranty repair & was first told I would get them back in 2 hours. Then received a message it would be 14 business days! My husband didn't have a good backup pair, so it caused a hardship for him. Next mistake was an appointment he had today, confirmed by email & I even called last week to check and verify date & time. Guess what? He goes all the way down there & he is told there is no appointment for him! Needless to say, we won't be patronizing this location or any LensCrafters in the future! read more

After the eye exam, I waited only 2 hours to receive my glasses (and that's even with the Transition lenses that I opted for). Great place. read more

Staff were short with us especially my wife. Didn't have my Lens Crafters Credit Card and asked for them to look it up for payment. REP gave us attitude and only allowed us to use the card for the glasses and made excusses and seemed inconvenienced when we were going to pay for exams with it. I had my 2 minor children with me and they preformed additional services without parental consent and charge us for it. Will not be using them anymore as this place has gone downhill. read more

Went into LensCrafters. Today inside the Moreno Valley Mall. I've bought 3 pair of glasses over the last 10 years with the last being 3 months ago. I got the replacement and that's why I came in. The lady that helped me was RUDE and really didn't want to help me but the worst part of my experience today was during my transaction another gentleman came in. He obviously couldn't speak and may have been deaf, I'm not sure. It took this lady at the counter 5 min to give this guy a piece of paper to explain what he wanted. It was so frustrating watching this lack of communication or even putting in a good effort to try and help the man. At one point I said "hey try to help instead of saying, I don't understand what you want". I have to go back next week to get my lens replaced but after that I will NEVER get glasses from them again. From now on I'll get them online then I won't have to watch absolutely horrible customer service again at this place. They take great precautions to ensure as safe of an environment as they can. I've read the previous reviews as well and people really need to understand they are doing all they can and we all need to be a bit kinder to all and if that means waiting a little I'll wait a little. Although my experience was different I arrived prior to my appointment and had no wait once it was my time. I selected my lenses prior to my appointment and had no issues. I've been a loyal customer of lens-crafters since I started wearing prescription eye glasses about a decade ago. Today, I called to ask a few questions about getting my mom a pair of distance eye glasses as an emergency pair for an upcoming trip & was greeted by an incredibly rude, sassy, condescending and arrogant **Nicholas** who told he wasn't going to help me because he wasn't selling me a "big-mac". My experience with LensCrafters was good until I called to ask if my glasses were ready for me to go pick them up. Ally answered and put me on hold for 27 minutes then picked up the phone and asked how can I help? I ask again and she said my glasses had been picked up already I was so surprised and upset. I told her no I didn't go pick them up No one has called me that they are ready. She said you must have sent a relative to pick them up. I said no. I want my glasses. She's like hold on. Then she comes back saying can you come tomorrow to pick them up they are here. That was horrible how can someone assure you that your glasses are not there obviously she didn't check for my glasses. Terrible. I made an appointment with them and told them I had VSP insurance. They made the appt. I go in and pay $75 for and eye exam and then they tell me the same glasses I got somewhere else for $120, is going to be over $500. Then she tells me it's because it's out of my network. They tell me the woman who made my appointment should've have told me (she was the manager!) but she didn't because I wouldn't intentionally go somewhere out of network. I wish I didn't have to pay for the contact exam because I would have never got it had I known. Great staff except the assistant manager. But terrible experience. Patricia the the Liscensed operation in the moreno valley station was really rude. She made me wait about 10 mins to get seen for a refund. She made it very clear in a aggressive way when I asked about refunds that she just finished with a patient and that she was going to get right back to me. I said "LensCrafters" in my voice speaker. She hurried up and decided to come see me in the chair that RO had me sitting at for almost 10 minutes to get seen for a refund. When she asked me what happened for the refund I explained to her I had an unexpected expense come up and I no longer need the sunglasses I bought a week ago. She seen that my glasses were from the Tyler mall and had to go ask her manager if she can ask her manager to do the refund only to come back and tell me I can only do the refund at that store. Way to make me waste a complete 30 minutes for a refund that had no customers in store for a refund I have to go to another mall for. Very disrespect even after Patricia said in a very rude voice she was almost finished with her patient. Ro had explained she was sorry because she didn't hear me the first time when I asked nicely so I spoke again NICELY and Patricia decided to RUDELY speak to me. She gave a few discounts and gave us cleaning supplies for our glasses. Overall the experience was great and we got my wifes glasses 2 hours later with even better lenses and frames then what we originally ordered. I used to be a diehard LensCrafters customer, only purchasing my glasses from them. Purchasing multiple pairs at a time. I experienced an emergency where my only pair of glasses broke. I am legally blind without my glasses and save for a pair of prescription sunglasses would not have been able to make it to them. I went to the store hoping they could mainly help me repair my glasses and then secondly to get in to have an exam. The woman I spoke with initially said they had no way to fix plastic, and recommended another place (weird but okay). She showed me their schedule multiple times, emphasizing the fact that I needed an appointment. If it wasn't an emergency I would have made an appointment. They pretty much refused to help me telling me their were no appointments that day but I could hang out and see if someone didn't show up, for about 4 hours but they could not guarantee they would help me. They offered me no solutions to my broken glasses even though I explained to them after dark I would not be able to see, all they could say was they could not help me. I understand the COVID regulations, however for people who deal with disabilities there should be a contingency plan in place for major emergencies. The manager suggested I go the the ER and get help there, I'm not sure what the hospital would have done for me in the middle of a pandemic that LensCrafters could not. I ended up going to Dr. Bozner's office in Riverside (look him up) and his staff was able to transfer my lenses into another frame and book me for an exam all in 10 minutes. True customer service. I am in no way knowing their COVID guidelines but for a business that deals with people with disabilities it is very disheartening there is no help for people like me. I came in on Dec 4th and had a great experience. broke my Prada frames and was stressed in getting new ones. My insurance coverage for frames was already used up so I had to pay out of pocket. Evelyn was so patient and walked me through many options (my lens coverage was still there) . I ended up buying the same frame and swapping lenses but Evelyn found additional discounts for me and saved me a good amount $$. I never write reviews but I was an antsy/agitated customer in the beginning and the staff, especially Evelyn, was so professional and courteous. I can get the same frames from any store, but I will always return to this LensCrafters after the exemplary service I received today. Someone give that girl a raise. read more

Do not buy anything from this location. I have gone over three weeks past the quoted two week waiting period without my prescription because this place can't be honest about their capabilities(unable to order the correct frames), will make you drive down to their locations multiple times because of their own mistakes, and not offer any solutions to your problems. The staff is nice but that doesn't matter when i pay over 500 to get some glasses and i still don't have them and still cant see clearly. I have made multiple attempts to contact the management in the store and corporate level management with nothing to show for it. If i hear back from management and my situation is rectified, i will be sure to update but as of right now I think you might have better luck with a shady back alley unlicensed optometrist than coming to this store and having your money taken and given nothing in return. read more

I made an appointment via the website. I responded to one email verifying that I would be at the appointment and another phone call confirming my appointment, not to mention all of the other emails and texts reminding me about my appointment. It was for Sunday at 11:00am. I get to the mall, everything is closed because of Covid which is understandable. I call the store to ask how to get in, and the woman aggressively responded that they called me at "3:18pm the prior day" to confirm my appointment. That "unfortunately" they have a problem with the online scheduler and that they don't open till noon. And also they don't have any availability until 3:00pm :-( WHAT?! I've been confirming this appointment for months and because I missed one phone call I'm screwed? I went back to voicemails and found the message - it didn't mention ANYTHING about rescheduling. It said "please give us a call back if you need to have us continue to hold your slot for tomorrow." How many times do I need to confirm something????? read more

The optometrist and the store clerk continuously tried twisting my arms to buy some off brand contacts with them that I didn't not want because they hurt my eyes. I continue to deny purchasing the off brand contacts she so desperately wants me to buy off of them. After getting in a heated conversation The store clerk staid the doctor did not trust my words and would not write a contacts prescription unless I was buying their brand.
