Took my daughter to lens crafters as cash pay. The exam was about $75. They got us in for appt quick next day. However I felt like the appt was not a serious assessment, more nonshalont. My daughter was only turning 12 and had been complaining a while of not seeing well distance wise. I told the Dr and had a few questions but I felt like he was rushed and didn't like me inserting myself. He talked to me like I was not that bright and said she has football eyes and needs a script. Not very informative or interested in ensuring we had a pleasant experience. Won't go back. And there is 4 of us in my family that would have needed to get rechecks. Lost business. You have to get the right doctor if you go here. 3 years ago or so, I experienced problems with doctors who could not get the angle right on my eyes. I spent a month trying to figure out why I got horrible headaches. I got the prescription adjusted and the headaches persisted. The headaches got worse. I finally had to go to an ophthalmologist who told me the absolute angles on the eyes were way off. She had to fix it. 3 years later, I lost those glasses in the ocean...oops. So this time, I went to lens crafters again (because I needed the glasses in one day). Dr. Elina Ohanian is the one I was lucky enough to see. Young and fresh out of school, but KNOWS HER STUFF! Dr. Ohanian got it right the first time. It's only been a week, and I've spent most of that time reading. No problems whatsoever. Even better than they have ever felt before. I recommend you ask for her if you go there. Don't take chances. read more

I purchased a set of lens two days ago. One fell out while riding my motorcycle. I come back in and told them the lens that they just put in fell out assuming they would honor the fact that it was two days ago and fix it. They asked "did u get our insurance? ". I went into LensCrafters back in April. Used my Insurance! They wrote me a referral to an opthomologist. When they wrote the referral they wrote it to am eye doctor in my home town. They didn't bother to check to see if they were a specialist. Needless to say my insurance won't cover it and I have a bill for &125.00. LensCrafters eye doctor could not care less and basically wasn't her concern! Would. It advise going to this LensCrafters! read more

Worst customer service! Had a 1pm appointment, it's now 2:30pm and haven't been seen by the optometrist. Associates are willing to cancel your appointment without even an apology. Doctor should invest in Customer Service and Time Management training. read more

I have only been to LensCrafters one time, I actually went to the location in the Antelope Valley Mall. But I was extremely satisfied with my service while I was there. They got me in immediately for an examination I was able to pick out a very cute pair of glasses and they were ready the same day. Most importantly all of the stuff that I encountered and doctors were extremely helpful, kind and courteous if I ever need new lenses, which I imagine eventually I will, I will be going back to this location. read more

OH LAWD. Do not waste your time and money here. Terrible customer service, guy with the lisp tried to bill someone elses insurance even tho we told him we were covered by my husbands plan, he kept trying to bill both insurance plans. They had a new optometrist woman with a major attitude ms K" they made us wait for over 2 hours to tell us we'd have to come back the following day.. Cause she was unable to get a 20/20 reading (Her exam lasted a whole 2 minutes)....I just think she was hungry and wanted to go to lunch....It was just a messed up disorganized office. We ended up walking out w/out an exam or glasses. I'm just hoping the receptionist doesn't bill our insurance and whoever elses he kept pulling up on his system. read more

Avoid this store at all cost. The service stinks, long wait times, and of course they don't have a full-time optometrist. The techs in the back continue to leave marks or scratches on the lenses they are working on. So as a precaution please check the lenses before you leave the store. I had three sets of lenses comeback with small marks or scratches that are caused by pushing in the lens too hard in the frame that ruins the anti-reflective coating. Lastly, the store manager, a short bald dude with a scar across his face, has the worst attitude; he doesn't acknowledge customers or even try to ask customers if they need help with anything in the store. I am relatively patient and I hardly complain but this lens crafters deserves this bad rating. I had an appointment at 11 a.m. I got her at 10:30 just to be early. They told me it would be a 40 minute wait which was fine even though I wouldn't be seen at my scheduled time at 11 a.m. I waited until 11:30 then asked how much longer it was going to be. They said it was only going to be a few more minutes. So I waited and by 11:40 I was taken to the back to do some exams that the receptionist did herself. After she was finished she told me that I was going to have to wait again to see the optometrist so here I am still waiting to see a optometrist. It's now 12p.m. In addition, the optometrist took two other guest before me despite how long I had been waiting. read more

I just tried to get information on the phone to bring my daughter in to get an exam and glasses. I was left on hold for 8 minutes, then I started to speak, Jenny says, 'oh, I'm sorry, hold please' I guess she picked up the wrong line. Anyway, at 14 minutes of being on hold, I hung up and called back. I try to talk to Jenny about what happened and she totally ignores what I say and she says, 'how can I help you?' WTH?!! Dismal hell hole. Untrained unprofessionals that did not make my glasses correctly. I missed the 30 day return policy which was my own fault. I have visited the Lancaster location which is also nasty. I am currently battling the Bakersfield location on a return. Went there to get my eyes checked. They got me in right away. They do not have lot of variety. I chose a frame. Paid for frame and lenses. They had to order the lenses. They never called me back. I went there after 10 days. I was told that they have gotten the lenses. They asked me to come back the next day. When I went back the next day Still the glasses were not ready. WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. So, I never write reviews. This is actually the first review I have ever written and I'm only doing it because I'm both outraged and dumbfounded by how crooked this place is. I had an awful experience here. They charged me FOUR times for ONE eye exam. Hey, I get it, things happen. But first of all, they never even notified me that they overcharged me, and mind you, I'm standing in front of these people, could've given me a heads up. They first charged me twice, without telling me, then returned both transactions, without telling me, and then they proceeded to charge me TWICE, AGAIN. I was wondering why the card kept coming up as having "insufficient funds," but now it makes sense. They had $74.95 coming out of my account twice. So, seeing as how I only got ONE eye exam and I didn't think I should pay for TWO, I called my bank and disputed the ONE extra charge that shouldn't have been there. Unless it's $74.95 an eyeball. I didn't dispute both charges, just the one, because I am an honest person. Now, it gets WORSE. They came back and disputed MY dispute and somehow reversed the charges and STOLE back $74.95, which may not seem like a lot to some but it is indeed a lot of money to me. So I call them to try and get a manager to speak to and guess who isn't available? YOU GUESSED IT! THE MANAGER. So I ask for corporate number and the "helpful" employee gives me the number, but FAILS TO MENTION THE CORORATE OFFICE IS CLOSED NOW. I call back, to try and get a manager instead, thinking maybe the manager is available now and THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. I called 4 times and nothing. I am disgusted by the lack of honesty and the lack of human decency this "business" has displayed. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Came here on a Sunday, We weren't greeted when we walked in and had to get someone to help us. We made appointments, they were not busy. It took them over 30 minutes before they called me back to be seen. What wowed me was that my glasses were done in 15 min. However, the prescription was wrong and I had to go back 4 days later to have fixed in which I waited almost an hour before I was told that it would take 2 hours to get my fixed prescription! 2 hours?! So I go back to work expecting to wait 2 hours and 45 minutes after I left I got a text message saying they were ready. I go to pick up my glasses and the lady obviously not knowing my situation just tells me to have a seat and wait until she helps the other customer. They are very understaffed in my own opinion. I should not have to wait to pick up my prescription after I was here for an hour just earlier in the day for a fix. read more

I went to lenscrafters yesterday (awful experience) and told them I wanted to use my sunglasses frames and just have new lenses put in. She made a sarcastic remark and then quoted me $351.00 for lenses. I declined. I ordered frames and lenses online for $114.00. For my regular glasses she knew I had insurance, but the first quote was stuff not covered by my insurance. The price was $357.00. When I questioned this she made several condescending remarks and then inferred My insurance covered crappy lenses, but then using what my insurance covered got the price to $147.00. My husband has less patience then I . He just had the eye exam done and then was very gruff with his refusal to even look at frames there. He already saw how they handled my transaction. He order his online too. We both had appointments and they were taking all these walk ins before us, so we ended up being there almost three hours. I will never go there again. read more

I was walking around the antelope valley Mall and I never knew we had a lens crafters so i went in to see if I could possibly get an eye exam the same day and they were able to take me the associates through out the whole exam was very knowledgeable and mindful I then seen the doctor who was extremely nice and very friendly. Once we were done he walked me to the associate who helped me prior we looked around for glasses we also went over pricing I had a budget and she helped me stay under that budget we also had to find my insurance because I had just lost my card and I couldn't remember who my provider was and she didn't mind finding my insurance for me . I wish there was an option for zero stars. I've always been a customer of Lens Crafters and just had an eye exam done at another location a couple months ago. I walked into this store today with the intention to buy a second pair of sunglasses and have prescription lenses put in them. After walking around the store for 15 minutes with obvious interest to buy, NOBODY acknowledged me the entire time. No one greeted me, no one offered to open the locked case so I could try on frames. An employee looked over at me once and though I stood there with frames in hand she still did not ask if I needed assistance. The store was not even busy. I was very disappointed in this location. Very poor customer service. I walked out with my money and took my business elsewhere. read more

My recommendation for this lens crafters is don't buy here! I bought my glasses here for $700.00 and 45 days latter the frame fell off the lens while putting them in the case. Took them back and they would not back them unless I spent another $30.00 to buy a warranty then they would fix them. I mean it's not like I stepped on them or sat on them, they fell apart when putting them in the case. I was told these are very delicate. Well they did not say that when I bought them. Don't know if it is just this location but I had a very bad experience here and will not do any future business here, very bad customer service and they didn't do any adjustments when given to me. read more

Horrible, horrible customer service! My first appointment lasted three hours because they didn't have enough employees working. I called three times regarding my prescription and each time I was promised a call back which never happened. I had to go into the store to see where my contacts were just to find out they couldn't find them. The manager assured me he would call to update me and of course that never happened. The Attitude of the people working for this store is shameful, starting by the receptionists that kept me waiting for over 40 minutes, then my eye exam with doctor Fisher was a disaster, she could not get a 20/20 reading she was telling me to guess when i could not read the cards and at the end she just made up a prescription for me. Since they gave me the glasses i told them that i could not see right with them, they told me "your eyes will adjust just give it some time" three weeks latter i went back to the store to tell them that i still could not see right with my glasses and they gave me the run around. DO NOT GO HERE! Their employee turn-over is ridiculous. When you call to make an appt., or ask about a prescription over the phone they are asking "walk-ins" if they want to schedule an appointment while you are mid sentence! On 3 different occasions, my kids glasses were scratched when picking them up! I don't have all day to keep going back to that mall. Employees are unhelpful and slow, the Dr. exam is so fast she doesn't want to be there, and I paid for my sons "contact lens evaluation" which was $55(not paid for by insurance by the way) and they didn't have his trial pairs! They never signed off his RX because they didn't have him back, so now his RX is invalid. They are a rip off also! They try to hard sell glasses and contact prescriptions so if you tell them your going to "Walmart, Costco or Sam's Club" to fill your prescriptions, THEY ARE RUDE and make it hard for you to get your paperwork signed off. I hate this place and the store is ghetto. I will never recommend anyone to go here, and I'm happier NOT ever going back to deal with this circus! read more
