Great selection of frames ranging from low end to Lens Crafter brand - which is actually very very nice - to designers. They carry Prada, Armani, Dolce & Gabana, Tiffany's, Ray ban, Coach, Michael Kors and so many more! Bottom line, there are frames in everyone's price range and if you have insurance, the prices are even better. One of the few remaining stores at Lloyd Center, I decided to come here for my new frames and lenses because I didn't want to spend a lot of money but want stylish frames. When I purchase from my eye doctor I end up spending $350 over the insurance benefit. Crazy. Today purchased tortuous shell frames with slight cat eye shape. Scratch resistant and anti glare for a total if $131 after insurance. That's a deal! Catherine, the manager, worked with me and was patient as I tried on 2 dozen frames. Maybe more! We both agreed on the tortuous shell. All safety precautions followed. Frames cleaned after someone tries them on. Sanitizer provided. Masks worn. Best part is the glasses are ready in just an hour. Then the technician says they're not allowed. I explained they've done it MULTIPLE times before, so they try again. Then another person says they can't. SUCH a headache. I went in hoping to get new len's put in a pair of frames. I have vision insurance and at first I was told they needed the managers approval. Then I was told it was the managers day off, then that they wouldn't be able to charge my insurance at all (this was within 15 mins while I was in the store) After that the sales person suggested I could pay out of pocket so I wouldn't have the hassle of going somewhere else. Let me start by saying I always buy frames and have the Vancouver mall lens crafters put in lenses. I had a new pair of frames with me and I was closest to the Lloyd Center L.C. So I went to have lenses put in. I was greeted by a woman in a mask and face shield (stay safe. I appreciate it) but was so hard to hear her talk I basically had to keep shoving me ear in her face and she was met with multiple "what?". So she went to show the lens maker the frames and what I wanted. I looked at him directly and he looked like he hated the world and his life. Well, he wouldn't "approve" my frames. Why not? No reason. I've had many many lenses put into different frames. So anyway, I got in my car and ran to the Vancouver mall L.C. This was my 6th pair of glasses at this location, 3 sunglasses, two of which are sport oriented and 3 traditional glasses. Every time consistent, professional, outstanding staff. Emma, asst. manager is a star, professional, poised, today a one star lounge master as she worked the front single handedly. LensCrafters's charged me $650 for progressives ensuring they are much better at blending the progressive lens. This included $55 for insurance should anything happen to my glasses. In less than a year the frames broke. I went back to get them fixed or replaced and they wanted $25 more. I was shocked. First of all the progressive were only slightly better range than previous glasses I've purchased online and 2nd you're charging me 3x as much as what I've paid for online purchases (which lasted way longer) and you want more money even though I paid insurance for replacement. There are dozens of other places to get eyeglasses in Portland and I definitely recommend going to any place else. I got a pair of frames there about 1.5 years ago. I went in the other day to have them adjusted. The salesperson who worked on them kept saying he may break them. I asked him not to do anything that could break them but he kept adjusting them. He cleaned them and then I left. After leaving the glades completely came apart and fell off my face. I went back the next day to have them repaired and was told that it's not lenscrafers responsibility to repair them and that they take no responsibility for breaking glasses even if they were purchased there. They advised me to get superglue and fix them myself. The next day (now needing new glasses) I popped into eyes on broadway and they offered to fix them for me to free! They glued them for me and taped them up with a clear film. Since I got a new prescription, I decided to get new glasses there and they were so helpful! They even offered to send my glasses out to be more seriously fixed (for free). I declined because I decided to get new glasses there anyway. I would definitely recommend supporting a smaller eye ware shop instead of giving money to a big business designed to get you to keep needing to spend money there read more

Before quarantine, I spent more money than god owes on two pairs of lenses and a frame. One of the lens sets was for my titanium reading glasses, which I adore and plan to be buried in. Just in case there are books. A few weeks ago, the place finally reopened; I freaked out for awhile with public transport paranoia and then went to get my glasses. It was my second attempt, they hadn't been done during my first pick-up. It turned out they hadn't made, refusing to fulfill a pre-paid service without additional paperwork saying they weren't responsible for their work. That wasn't part of the agreement at the time of sale. Also? if their corporation can afford to hire technicians whose work they don't trust, they can afford to pay for their mistakes. Due to growing our herd of billionaires and the perks of being one of the downtrodden masses, I've had to put off getting a much-needed new prescription for nearly 10 years, and spent a year of that in a shelter-- so this is a huge purchase for me. It puts me two months closer to the street than otherwise, is how I've learned to think of it. For the two salespeeps giving me the freeze-out, it was a few minutes of trying to pretend using coercion to change an active contract in your employer's favor isn't illegal. I was getting a skeevy vibe, and asked for verification on the refund. Computers down. No can do. Go on home and wait to see if the refund matches the paperwork-- bye now! Beside us, his co-worker used the computer. I took my favorite glasses and sadly went home. Where I promptly forgot I had them back and went on squint reading. Today I remembered, pulled them out and discovered why those ... persons ... had refused to put the new lenses into my frames without their 'oh-by-the-way-good-luck' disclaimer having my Jane Hancock. They'd ALREADY fucked up my frames. Twisted, tilted in different directions... wow. Didn't even bother trying to make it look like the lenses had been properly popped back in. I'm... disappointed. Believe the 1-star reviews. That whole 'its your problem if we break it' thing is what they tried to pull on me after the contract was in play. What really gets me is that, even though they refused to do the job at all -- they STILL destroyed my glasses... now that's dedication to eyecare mayhem. I liked the ophthalmologists, who should damn well do something about the situation, but the front is TRULY a front-- its not a business, it's a hangout for retributive fake optometrists who must spend their days hammering frames with rocks. So yeah, my eyes are getting old. Way old. I've worn reading glasses since I was a kid, but had been using the same prescription for nearly 5 years (no insurance), and it just wasn't cutting it. We had a coupon for Lenscrafters, and after calling around for prices at other optometrists, they seemed pretty affordable. Not THE cheapest, but somewhere in the middle. I walked in and was able to get an eye exam only 20 minutes later (the optometrist is independent from Lenscrafters themselves), and picked out some snazzy new frames shortly after. The gentleman helping me at first (Lenny) was really awesome, super friendly and helpful, but when it came time to do business, he was with someone else, so I had to talk with another person there. She was okay, but this is where I started getting irritated...she asked if I could wait an hour for the glasses to be ready. Okay sure, no problem. I wander around the mall for an hour, and when I come back, she tells me that they didn't have the lenses in stock and they'd call me when they came in. Now why in the hell didn't she call me in that HOUR I was walking around killing time? So, I ask about how long, she says maybe a couple of days. Couple of days pass...nothing. I call, and they tell me that they don't know when they're coming in, maybe a week. A week passes...nothing. I call again, they say "oh, it usually takes 10 days". Okay, 10 days passes...nothing. I call again (now they're getting to know me real well). The lady on the phone sounds really irritated that I'm bothering her, but says "well, it could be up to two weeks". Two weeks? Are you kidding me? Fine, I wait two weeks. I finally call, and they say "oh, yeah, they're here, but the lens is scratched, so it'll be another week or so". ^&^%$^*&@#$!!!!! Now, I dropped a lot of money here, and I'm used to instant gratification when I spend that kind of dough. Even if I order something online, I know when it's coming. I don't like the waiting game. They did call back and say the scratch was pretty small, and not in the line of vision, so if I wanted, I could pick them up. Well, the scratch is literally the size of a pin prick, so it is a non issue. I'm glad they called and gave me the option, because really, my eyes are getting reeeeeal tired. I now have to wear them full time, so i was ready to get this party started. And the thing that pisses me off too, is that they just called tonight and the replacement lens is already here, two days later. If they could get them that quick, why did it take TWO weeks to get them in the first place? Glasses in a hour my ass, I won't EVER get glasses from them again, even if I do have a coupon. I was so impressed by this LensCrafters location. I found that they were more compatible with my insurance than Costco was! Their selection of frames is amazing! They have so many styles and brands to choose from. This location had a lot more Ray Ban frames than the Clackamas town center location. The guy working was very helpful and friendly too! I just had THE BEST experience at Lens Crafters Lloyd Center. I'm going on vacation soon and really want to get new eye glasses and prescription sunglasses before I leave in a few weeks. Every place I called was either scheduling way out for eye exams, didn't accept my insurance, or couldn't make glasses quick enough for my travel deadline. I walked into Lens Crafters hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I was amazed when they told me I could get in for an eye exam within 15 minutes, they could accept my insurance, and my glasses could be ready tomorrow! Everyone who worked with me was very professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. Alex was my favorite. He became like my own personal shopper, helping find me styles and fits that I was looking for. He stayed with me through the entire process, helping me narrow down my favorites until I was "150% sure" on the frames I chose. He was amazing!!! read more

I lost my glasses during my last trip to Vegas. Yeah, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but everything that happened to me was all blurry and out of focus. I was in need of an eye exam and a new prescription anyway--I tend to procrastinate on such things--so I suppose it was for the best. The vision care coverage I have through my work has Lenscrafters as one of their vendors. I tried to get some service at another Lenscrafters near my office, but had trouble getting anyone to even look at me there. I wandered by this place while shopping in Lloyd and decided to give them a try. Very nice people here and I got great service at both the optometrist and from the young ladies in the frame section up front. They remembered me by sight from the visit I'd made earlier in the week to set up my eye appointment. That impressed me. read more

Every visit has left me frustrated. Most recently, I came in for an eye exam. After removing my contacts (so I couldn't see any paperwork) I was verbally quoted an eye exam for $109, and was offered an extra eye test for $20. Which I agreed to thinking the total would be $129. But at checkout, I was told by the same person who gave me the initial quote that my eye exam was really $179 and with the extra test, it brought the total charges up to $199. Frustrating to be told two different things by someone and misled in costs... After the eye exam, the optometrist ordered trial contacts for me. I received a call that they arrived at the office and I could come pick them up. Well, I just took time out of my day today to pick them up, and no one in the office could find the contacts. So now I have to wait again for another call and the assurance that another set of trial contacts will be waiting for me in 2-3 days. Which will mean another trip there and another potentially frustrating encounter... It's unfortunate that their customer service is so poor and that I can't really trust what they tell me! read more

I've been to them twice ONLY because the other optical well, in my review I mentioned about them, so I won't repeat those here. From the last time I bought my eyeglasses, they have a promotional Buy 1 get the 2nd Half Off. I got my eye exam from another optician, but bought my glasses here. When I bought 2 lenses from them years before, one Designer Brand - Versace - a lavender with silver front & side blings . . . .made me looked like my dad, so I put that one aside. My gold frame was used everyday. My last visit, I decided MAYBE I could put new lenses in my old gold frame for backup and use the Versace for my everyday wear with new lenses. This tall, handsome & dark-haired associate gave me a 'really' low quotes and went ahead & I ordered them, paid for my credit card. Since my eye had improved, when I stopped wearing my contact lenses for almost 4 years. I didn't really NEED new lenses, but I didn't think about that until I got home, when I realized what I NEEDED was a SHIELD for my Versace. I have Ray Bans that fits my 1st eyeglasses, but my Versace have blings to the sides and I didn't want outside glasses rubbing them blings off. (One did when I was trying for sunglasses @ Nordstrom). I called & cancel my order. Done! So the next day, I went to buy the Shield. I slowly peek inside the entrance, to make sure, I won't be dealing with the tall, dark-haired, & handsome associate. Good, he's NOT there! But the next handsome guy was just as helpful, so that was OK, too! They're so retarded, and huge!They don't have a lot of shields to choose from, neither do online! I bought it anyway. I'm a wannabe model, fashionista since birth, and models don't wear retarded SHIELDS! Going online, I didn't find anything better. I do need sunglasses, but I'd rather go without if I was to wear those! I went back & return them. But guess who was on duty today! Yep! The tall, handsome & dark-haired associate. He also knew I returned the purchase I made from him, a week ago. And how he found out? He knows this things! He gladly gave me a credit refund on my SHIELDS, but he had problem doing that on any two of their computers. LOL OK, not his fault, there was a button they hardly use, so that was it. Not only did she answer all my questions but she was excited to help, which was fantastic! The rest of my experience there was great and everyone was so helpful and honest. It's nice to have someone be honest instead of liking every pair of glasses you put on. I was able to look around in peace first and when I finally was ready to consult staff they were great. I was dealing with Jennifer who was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being pushy. They were quite busy when I was there but Jennifer still had time to explain differences to me and was patient with my endless pondering and trying to make up my mind. My glasses disappeared while shopping at a local thrift store and my friend and I rushed over because without my glasses I wouldn't be typing this. The staff was more than helpful with my dilemma and the tech even stayed a little late to get the lenses done so I could see again. Do yourself a favor a mad NEVER go here. With all the other great options for eyecare in portland it's a wonder places this bad even exist. I went here when I first got to portland because I was exchanging frames from lenscrafter in salem that were uncomfortable. First I found the frames I wanted but the worker broke them while inserting the lenses. Im sure this could happen to anyone so I didnt make a big deal out of it. But since they were the last ones in the store that color they would let me use the brown ones for now and order another pair of the purple for me. Ok I thought that would be fine. so I come in a few weeks later like they told me too and find out not only r they not there yet but the order hasnt even been placed and no one has any idea what I am talking about. And they r starting to say its been over 90 days since the purchase of the original pair so they cant order me new glasses. Well after some complaining to the manager that I hate brown frames and am in here for a 3rd time still not leaving satisfied they order me the frames. I g et a call a few weeks later that they have come in. I go in a fourth time and the glasses that have arrived r the same color as the ones I already have been given. After a lot of confusion and wasting of more of my time they discover they no longer make the color I originally wanted and again after more explaining that I am past the 90 exchange period... part of the problem was that they keep horrible records and I never once saw the same person when I came in indicating to me that they must have a high turnover rate of employees... so eventually they allow me to chose an entirely new pair of frames. So once again I choose the only frames in the en tire store that r not brown or black. These ones however sit a little crooked on my face. I tell them I want them but that they sit a little off and they assure me this is no problem and can be adjusted. So they adjust them to their satisfaction. I say that they still look a bit off to me but they disagree and say they look good eenough to them and put in the lenses and hurry me along so they can get to newer and less perceptive customers. As the weeks go by the glasses only get more and more loose and crooked until they r constantly sliding down my nose and people r commmenting that they look crooked. So u return a 5th time to point this out to lenscrafters. This final experience was the worst. I was the only customer in the entire store. But the moody and impatient woman hurridly grabs the frames and bends them with no th ing but her iown hands. Not taking any care to heat the plastic first or even observe in which way they r leaning on my face. She wrenches them good and hard several times in the wrong direction. When I proclaim worriedly she isgoing to break them she becomes increasingly aggrivated by my observation of her own blatant incompitence. She bends the leg that looks unnatural back and starts to bend the other one in the same forceful hurried way... I asked for her if there was anyone else in the store that she could get to help several times but she ignored and even rolled her eyes at me. Finally I said nevermind you have don enough and I will take my business elseware since yiu obviously dont want it. But just as I walked out of the store my glasses fell completely off my face. The leg had broke off. When I went back to show her she said i was a liar and that if she had broke it they would have fallen apart before I left the store. The technitian in the back came out and aggreed if the netal hinge was broke it would have broke off in her hand not after it was on my face and that she do not do welding or repairs as th e store so I would have to go elseware if I wanted it fixed. So I went to a local eye glass repair store and they tell me not one but both the metal hinges have been cracked and need welding even though the one leg is still hanging on by a thread it will soon follow the other. They say repair will be 100 dollars. Since I didnt have that money to repair them and felt lenscrafters should be accountable I went back to tell my story to a manager. I told the manager the story and said I thought lenscraft err s should either give m eV new frames for all my trouble or pay to jhave these repaired. She said she would have if she had seen the incident but she new nothing of it and the lady I described who had broke them she pretended to know no employee by that discription. But I noticed the same technitian in the back so I said he was a witness and he could say who the woman was that I had the prior encounter with. I also told the technitian that the eye glass repair store said he was wrong about glasses hinges and that they can be cracked and broken but worn for periods of time before legs becone completely detached and fall off. This is absolutely the worst place ever. I purchased my glasses and lenses here last year and it was such an ordeal. The staff, particularly the young know it all guy, were incredibly rude and condescending. They have no idea how to adjust glasses to be comfortable. I wanted anti-glare and scratch resistant coating on my lenses and was quoted a price. It was high but I agreed. When it comes time to pay for and pick up the glasses, the guy tells me that the quoted price was actually PER LENS. Isn't that just the dumbest thing ever? No no, I only want anti-glare on one lens of my glasses please. WTF. And here's the best part, the anti-glare coating isn't actually anti-glare! It just changes the color of reflections and glare to red. Which is so annoying! As soon as I put on the glasses, I could see reflections of objects behind me on the inside of the lenses. What a racket. It's been about a year now, and I already have to replace the lenses in my glasses because they're scratched and constantly filthy. I will never, ever, EVER go back to another lenscrafters again. Ever. Don't waste your time and money. Go to a real optometrist's office and let them do it right. read more
