I can't believe I haven't written a review about this place. Annie is so personable and I've moved with her from her previous place of work. I have been with her since the opening and get my yearly exam with her. I buy glasses there because they have some really cool selections. A little bit of everything for everyone. She can also order one your size if you really want one. She has no issue with the VSP insurance plan. The glass exam is free for me and a nominal exam fee for contacts. read more

Visiting a new eye doctor during a pandemic is not my idea of fun or safe. However, I didn't feel like my usual eye place was as safe as it could be so I called ED to find out their safety protocols. They walked me through their processes and they seemed good. I had an eye exam and bought new frames. Super! Dr Annie was very thorough and even tweaked my rx which was great. Everything was super sterile and clean. Appts are spaced. Frames are handled only by staff and then cleaned before returning them for show. They have a great collection of frames and all of the staff are friendly and kind. I highly recommend!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Annie and her staff. The office is lovely and convenient to transit. It's easy to book appointments online and I like getting email reminders. The front office staff is wonderful, they are very nice, do a great job of explaining your insurance benefits and costs, and have a great sense of style to help you pick out glasses. The frame selection is very good. I'm typically tempted to go somewhere besides my eye doctor to buy frames but not here. The prices are competitive and selection so good that I bought my new frames here. Dr. Annie is warm and friendly. Exams are thorough, questions always answered, never rushed. Stop reading this and schedule your appointment now! Seriously, this was the most exceptional experience I've ever had at an eye doctor. When I called to make the appointment, they were incredibly flexible with my schedule and extremely kind. They allowed me to take the last appointment of the day and upon arrival, I was seen within 10 minutes. Dr. Annie was friendly, knowledgeable, and really took the time to answer any questions or concerns I had. She's also super funny! I wish I could remember the name of the woman that helped me with my glasses BECAUSE she allowed me to try at least 10 different pairs and offered opinions, did not rush me even though I was there well past closing. Price and fit were my main concern and after my indecisiveness wore off, I was able to make a selection. The best part is that my glasses were ready...wait for it...ONE week and 3 days after my appointment! This is unheard of - normally glasses take at least 2-3 weeks and sometimes a month to receive. I am over-the-moon about my experience here and I encourage everyone to give them a try. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. read more

Only come here if you want a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Dr. Annie, Josie, and Brian are all extremely agreeable people and even stayed after closing a few times to finish our chats. I went in for an annual checkup. I was super interested in every part of the examination (I like all things sciencey) and Annie explained every part to my heart's content. I was sent off for the next few weeks to test two brands of contact lenses. Neither of them worked for me after the first few days, so we scheduled an impromptu appointment where I was given another brand of contacts to try. They were awesome. Annie was awesome. I stopped back by to inquire about getting new glasses since I had accidentally damaged mine. I was willing to pay for a new pair but they insisted they see if we could get both my lenses and frames covered under warranty. Later that same day I got a call saying that the glasses were covered and that they would get them for me with a rush delivery because i was leaving to go on vacation. Truly above and beyond...and honest. I no longer just recommend that you check them out...you are making a mistake if you go anywhere else. Annie and her staff worked quick to get me in for a stye that showed up on my eye, even though I was a new patient. I had some time-sensitive considerations to boot. Annie made me feel right at home. I've been a patient here for two years now, and this is the best eye care experience I've had in my entire life (I've worn glasses for twenty years). Dr. Annie is so friendly, kind, and talented. The front desk staff is very knowledgable about insurance, and helps print out rebate information for contact lenses so you get the absolute best value. They have a stylish selection of glasses (although I only ever get contacts), and they paper-less (reusable whiteboard) "paperwork" for your intake and email receipts (although printed is available upon request). I appreciate that they are conscientious about their use of paper! Perhaps best of all...Dr. Annie does not use the puff of air to check the internal pressure of your eye, but a light instead. So if that is something you dread annually, you can stop dreading it! Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Annie and this entire practice. read more

I have a painful, reoccurring eye condition that needs urgent attention whenever it pops up. I'm new to the area and haven't made the time to look into long term care, so, of course, I woke up this morning with the tell-tale signs I was having a flare up. I called right at 8 a.m.- they answered immediately and booked me for an emergency appointment at 10! Dr. Annie was kind and considerate and genuinely interested in my comfort and well being. Well its time to buck the excellent Yelp trend for these folks. Good eye exam for sure even if the location is somewhat inconvenient. And, the pleasant Dr. is both knowledgeable and personable. So far so good....All is well until they make a mistake regarding insurance. Then its your problem. In one case, they said a friend I'd referred had coverage but at "pay the bill" time she was told her insurance didn't cover the visit. In my case, they requested payment for services before I had a chance to straighten some things out with my new insurance provider. I paid at the time of the visit. However, once I cleared up the insurance info, they were not willing to work with me to file an insurance claim so that I could be reimbursed for my eye exam. Also, the Dr. did not choose to personally respond to the issue after I communicated my disappointment. There just seemed to be a pretty blasé about the $$$ involved with little or no concern about the patient (at least on the business end of things). Seems like they are all about the money and not about the happiness of their customers. Sorry to rock the boat. I'm sure the other reviews are valid. But, so is mine. Dr. Annie always make me feel so welcome and comfortable every time I see her. This is a fantastic quality in a doctor but that is not the reason why I've chosen her to be my doctor for the last 7 years. She is incredibly thorough in her exams and genuinely interested in your outcome. Previous to finding her, I had double vision that my other optometrists insisted was an unavoidable side effect of wearing contacts with astigmatism. I had accepted this as untreatable. Then at my first visit with Dr. Annie she told me that this was not normal and took a great deal of time to correct this problem for me. She had me try several different types of contact lenses until we found one that eliminated my double vision. Although this meant multiple follow ups and office visits, she was always gracious and a pleasure to see. I recently went in to look at their selection of sunglasses and was very impressed by the range of styles and prices. Brian was really helpful in guiding me to frames that fit my face. He brought me a pair of sunglasses that I would not have considered on my own, but when I put it on, it flattered my face so well! I was very happy to have found something that looked so great on me and was very affordable. I really can't recommend the Eye Department more. You have to experience it to understand how welcoming, friendly and exceptional they are at what they do. read more

Dr. Annie is the best optometrist I've ever seen. I've been going to her for years, since she was at Eyes on Broadway. Super sweet and friendly, as is everyone I've met in the office. My vision is really poor so eye exams can be stressful (like going to a dentist if your teeth aren't great) but it's always fun going here. From my first step in the door, to the help figuring out my insurance coverages ( they actually checked my policy coverage and let me know the date that I would be covered since my policy covers exams every 18 months) and Dr Annie's exams are by far one of the most fine tuned exams I have ever had!!!
