You must schedule an appointment and they were really good at limiting their patients/customers the day I was there. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was taken back for my appointment within 5 minutes after checking in. My eyes were dilated and then I was taken to the room where I met Dr. Jordan. Dr. Jordan was soft spoken and very professional. We talked about why Dr. Kim had asked me to have a new exam. I told him that I have Macular Degeneration in both of my eyes. One eye is "wet" and the other is "dry". Dr. Kim likes to see if there is a lot of changes in my vision. I had not had my eyes examined in a couple of years. Once Dr. Jordan finished the exam, he shared that there had been little changes in my sight. Yeah! But he also had found cataracts in both eyes. One is larger than the other but didn't feel that it is anything to worry about now. My only complaint about this visit is that I wasn't given a copy of my new prescription for my eyes. They have an area to purchase new glasses as you leave, but I didn't need a new ones at this time.

At my last visit I explained that I see great with my current prescription. When my new contacts arrived, the prescription was so off. I called back and was told my eyes need time to adjust to the contacts. I don't know how the eye exam could have been so wrong, but I do know contacts are supposed to improve eye vision, the eyes are not supposed to adjust to the contact lens. This last experience may have been the one too many for me

I wasn't sure what to expect or what type of questions to ask, but I honestly didn't even need to ask many questions because the appointment was extremely thorough. Everything was explained to me in a way that was easy to digest and understand, having not known much about vision in general. The staff were incredibly friendly, personable, and helpful. I left feeling satisfied and honestly hopeful for the future, especially as someone who has really struggled with vision lately. I was able to order glasses at the end of my appointment and I'm excited to pick them up soon! Each time the Optical Manager was prompt, professional and pleasant. Suzie spent a lot of time with me, suggesting frames that might work, and telling me when a particular choice was unflattering. After I picked up the glasses, I kept seeing double and my eyes never adjusted. I took them back in and they checked my prescription and also my old glasses, and Dr. Beals also checked everything even though she didn't write the prescription. It turned out there was a mistake in the prescription so I had to go back to my optometrist to get it changed. When the new glasses came in, Dr. Beals and the staff checked them again and made sure they were right. All at no extra charge!
