LensCrafters Westfield Southcenter Mall Tukwila WA. While this storefront appears beautiful, I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit this location. In addition I will continue to share my experience here when anyone brings up local optometrist/glasses stores. I visited this location April 15 2025 for an eye exam, specifically to order contacts. The eye exam visit was decent (wait times, interactions standard) While not particularly warm and welcoming. First thing they asked me to do was to take out my current contacts. I went through the entire appt and conversations without being able to see anyone's faces. The exam was complete and I went to pay an additional money owed for co pay as well as additional box of contacts. They have to be ordered due to my prescription level and it's always taken 1-2 wks. 4 weeks later - May 2025, I kept checking my mailbox for my new contacts and they hadn't arrived. I called LensCrafters and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. 6 weeks later - End of May 2025, I call back and reach an employee who casually states "your contact order for the brand you chose doesn't come in your prescription". I asked why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. "I don't know but you can come in and ask". Wow. So... 6 weeks and no order was ever placed? I've been wearing the same prescription in my preferred brand for years. 6 weeks and they didn't even call me to let me know? I paid in advance. 8 weeks later, June 20 2025 I went back in to LensCrafters. Apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time so i had to wait until 2pm when they re-opened. I asked again why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. Or to come in to try samples. 8+ weeks later and I still don't have 2 boxes of contacts that I paid for in April. I told my MIL about this incident in general without stating the business name. Her reply? "It wasn't LensCrafters in the mall, was it? I've been waiting 4 weeks for my glasses and can't get an update from them." Ha read more

I had an eye examine on 2/27/26. I was charged $39.00, I called Aetna and was told no co-payment and that I was charged $39.00 for a Retinal Screening. I never requested a Retinal Screening and making the eye exam appointment I was NOT told there would be a charge of $39.00 and when I got there no communication regarding the Retinal Screening. If I would have know ahead of time there would be a charge, I would have not gone to Lens Crafters and any eye exam that I have had for 60 years I never had to pay for a Retinal Screening that I never approved. Poor communication and poor customer service. I will NEVER GO BACK TO LENS CRAFTERS again OR recommend this company read more

We have had consistent great experiences with Gina, she is always fast, efficient and knowledgeable. We always get the warranty and have never had an issue using the warranty. read more

Update December 2025: They called us and apologized. They also mailed the contact lenses to us the next day. We appreciate the prompt follow-up and apology. Their staff just had a bad day. We understand working in retail nowadays is difficult, so we've updated the review to be 4 stars. We wish we could give this Lenscrafter a negative review if it's possible. All four of our family goes to this eye center to get eye exams because our previous doctor closed practice and moved to this location. My wife recently had a contact lens exam and placed an order to ship home. We didn't receive any shipment for 3 weeks. When we called to follow up, they claimed that they had no record of shipping home. They had the contact lenses in their store, but they said that they would have to return the contact lenses first, before re-ordering and shipping to us. It could take another 2-3 weeks. All of these were told by someone by the name Keri, who was extremely unprofessional and angry. She put us on hold every single time we aske a question. When we called again today to talk to a different person, we requested to talk to the owner Ken Wang. The person told us that the doctor only works Wed and Thursday. All of the other doctors are associate doctors. We cannot escalate this and have to wait until the doctor is available on Wed. If you're looking for high quality eyecare with good service, stay away from this clinic. read more

Many designers glasses to choose from. Eye exam is a joke. The Dr. and assistant took only 10 minutes to finish my annual eye exam. Ordered a pair of lens replacement in December and had to bring them back 4 times for correction. It took 4 months before I received a good pair of lens for now. Brought in my fairly new pair of glasses that I bought elsewhere to get a bent arm fixed because I was in the area and have come for free adjustments in the past. The associate I spoke to said he could fix it but warned that it may break because the bend was close to the hinge but that he would heat it up to make it less likely to break. He told me that he would just be a few minutes, I ended up waiting around 10-15 minutes for the repair and he came out with my entire pair of glasses completely bent out of its original shape and resized that it was so small that it would have only fit a kid's head when I never asked him to do that. The UV coating was also visibly damaged and warped after he made adjustments, and when I pointed it out the associate denied that he caused it and didn't take any accountability for the damage. I asked that he fix the reshaping because the single bent arm was the only thing I wanted fixed/adjusted and the rest of the frame was completely fine before. After another readjustment he brought my glasses back out to me and they were extremely hot when I tried them on. The majority of the adjustments were undone after a few attempts so they were at least wearable, but my $400 pair of glasses were left damaged and bent out of shape and with irreversible warping to the coating. Barely wearable and looking through the lenses looks like 4x as bad of an astigmatism than I already have. Now I'm extremely inconvenienced because now my everyday pair of glasses is ruined and I have to get them fixed elsewhere or wait another two weeks for a new pair. Unbelievably terrible service and I will NEVER come back again!!! read more

About 15 minutes after the store opened we arrived, but then spent 50 minutes waiting for someone to help us. Only one customer was in the store when we arrived, and there were 3 staff members. Each time we went to ask for help, we were told things like "We'll be right there in a moment"; no one followed up. Finally we spoke with someone who identified himself as a "manager". He was very rude, condescending, unhelpful. We finally left the store, and bought our glasses at a competitor. A few days later we spoke by phone with the store manager, Jay. The Southcenter Dr. Office are rude . Very threat manner and won't knowledge my method of payments. Wanted to used my Insurance card , she yell at me and said didn't you get the email. I told her yes , am not going sent my privacy over the a email or text , rather give my insurance card at the time of my appointment. She flat out refused to take my card and demand for me to pay . Secondly she had no compassion for disability person . This location mandates retinal imaging and will strong arm patients into agreeing to the service. I informed an employee (Ken H.) that I was uninterested in the procedure or paying the extra $49 co-pay that the retinal exam was going to cost. His response was that the service was not optional and I was unable to decline the service as part of my exam. This leading me to believe that they wouldn't do my exam if I didn't comply. This is misleading as I've been to Lenscrafters locations in the past and have always been able to waive this procedure as I see fit. For reference I get it done every other year at my yearly exam, but as I had one last year, decided to decline this year's. I opted to cancel my appointment and have rescheduled at another location that doesn't force patients into having unnecessary procedures performed. read more

So it's either a) get a new set of glasses, or b) go to RiteAid and get inserts. Fair enough, but its crazy that LensCrafters doesn't carry the most basic supplies to make your glasses work for you. They're only interested in selling you another set of frames. The customer service was a disappointment. The first time I went there the rep was really nice and patient. She looked into my insurance and recommended different options on how I can save money. However, I had to go back the second time because the color of the frame that I ordered was not available. The customer service from the second rep was non-existent. He was impatient and didn't seem like he wanted to help me at all. I now understand why this location have such low rating. Most of the comments were customer service related. I came in since I've been carrying around two pairs of sunglasses (one with broken lens, one not) and was hoping to finally get them fixed. Jay, the store manager, approached me immediately after I went into the store and asked how he could help me. I wanted to keep the frames of the broken lens, and put in the lens of the other glasses. He said sure thing and went back into the lab to work on it right away. Great service, and I'm super happy I've got my glasses fixed. We ordered lens from here for existing glasses. We were called and told they were at the shop. Told the guy we would be there Sunday. He said OK. Arrived Sunday only to find that the optician who fits the lenses doesn't work on Sundays. Two hour drive back and forth wasted--which pisses me off to no end. We had a great experience with LensCrafters. I recommend this place because the customer service was excellent, and the pricing was reasonable. We stopped by LensCrafters because our 12-year-old daughter needed her first glasses. At first, we thought the shop isn't the right place for her as the selections they have seemed mostly expensive. While we thought we should walk away, Emily, a sales rep talked to us asking for what we were looking for. She explained to us that they have a set of smaller glasses that can be a fit for her, also with the kid's program they have, the pricing can be cut in nearly half. After trying a few glasses on, my daughter found the exact one she wanted. Emily was very kind, professional, and honest. She even gave us bits of advice on how to save costs when taking eye exams, which made us save money. Two weeks later (today) we walked into the shop to pick up the glasses, Emily welcomed us at the door remembering us. I went in last Thursday because I needed glasses fast -- which is the premise of LensCrafters. I'd just been told I needed glasses, but would be leaving for a 2 month work trip in 4 days. I picked out a frame, explained my situation and was told they couldn't finish them in an hour, but they could be ready the next day. I paid nearly $600 for these expedited frames, but was glad to do so to have them ready. Fast forward to today, Monday. I make the hour drive to the store and am told my glasses won't be ready for 10-14 days. No one told me this during my appointment, nor called in the following three days to tell me there would be a significant delay. Instead I had to waste 3 hours of my last 24 hours at home in months for nothing. Sincerely, some of the worst customer service I've received by a company. So now I'm out $600 bucks, have no glasses for the work trip I'm leaving for tomorrow & will have to find another expedited glasses location and be out hundreds of dollars for another pair -- you better believe it won't be at LensCrafters though. read more

I bought prescription glasses and sunglasses from them just before the Covid lockdown went in to place. The glasses weren't right, but couldn't return them because they were closed. Now, they won't honor their 30 day warranty. I would think most businesses would be willing to be flexible during this time, but not these guys. I'm out $1,000 on eyeglasses I can't wear. My wife and I been stoping by once a month to just browse at a new pair of glasses, it was not till this last visit that we decided to purchase! The store was semi busy so we took our time browsing, not until Adrian came and greet us. He was with another customer and said he will be right with us. Finally we saw a few pairs we like and he gave us a little box to put them in. He's overall customer service was excellent which made us very comfortable. We ended up asking his opinion on each pair of glasses we wore best, he was awesome in his thoughts. We got to know each other while he was helping us and didn't stay quiet (which we liked) he was also greeting each guest that came through the store and made sure someone will be them soon.
