It was a great experience I had not only with the Dr. Walent but also Steve was also terrific at the LensCrafters in the same office space. Steve helped me with a new pair of glasses. They got a 2stars because most of the staff and Dr Strange was nice. However the 3 stars they lack is because despite them knowing her insurance going in, the "other side" referring to where one gets glasses does not take my daughters insurance. Now I am stuck with the inconvenience of finding another place to get my daughters glasses. Also the lady in the front tried to sell me on retinal imagining, I understand that will be her job however after declining the last thing I needed to hear was, "If I was her parent I would get it done." That's a very rude comment. I don't see the point of my daughter getting something done Doctors suggest getting a base reading at the age of 40 years old. They then went ahead and did it and tried to charge me for it. This is not a place we will be returning, however if Dr Strange change practice, we will be going to see him again. read more

Stopped in to get a price on replacement lenses and while I was there I asked if they could help me out with some nose pads on my old glasses as mine were gone. I was served by Anthony who was more than accommodating and I came away feeling like a highly valued customer. Based on that encounter I will be a customer of LensCrafters going forward. I visited the Lenscrafters at Independence mall today to get a pair of glasses adjusted.The store had just opened and I was the only customer in the store. The sales person took my glasses into the workshop area and made an adjustment to the frame. When they were returned to me the frame which was crooked was fixed, but there was now a small crack on the left lens. I brought it to the attention of the salesperson and she noted she had not noticed it when she took the glasses from me.I did not check her name but did notice her title was General Mgr. She explained that all she did was hold the glasse in her hand. I asked if they had the lens which was cracked available and she was not sure. For a company that supposedly prides themselves on customer service I was extremely disappointed! There was no offer to replace the lens only a comment that it had a scratch when I gave the glasses to her to adjust. I left at that time but noted my dissatisfaction. I will not purchase from them again and will certainly not recommend them. read more

Got a prescription for glasses and contacts. Didn't order contacts from them and just wore my glasses. Decided a few months later I wanted to order contact called to get them to release my prescription and they said no since I didn't buy any and try them out. Mind you my prescription says it is good for another 2 months from the writing of this. So they are essentially trying to scam me out of more money when my prescription is still good. read more

After a poor experience at Vision Works, I decided to try my luck with Lens Crafters. I took them the glasses that I had just received at Vision Works and with my insurance they told me they could get my lenses with a higher end frame (RayBan vs. the Missoni frame that I had purchased from VW) for $65. I paid over $300 at VW. Not only nice prices, but I was greeted and assisted by the friendliest employees. I returned my glasses to VW and gave my business to Lens Crafters instead. They're very knowledgeable and give their honest opinion about how certain frames look/fit your face. I know it's not for everyone, but I need to know when something doesn't look right. It's also worth noting that their non-glare lenses are completely non-glare. The lenses that I had previously purchased at VW had a purple tint to them and the workers had no explanation when I questioned. Lens Crafters will always be my go to from now on! read more

When I went to this LensCrafters, the woman that helped me was very nice. I explained that I was visiting a friend in Wilmington, and because of a dog-related emergency (interestingly enough, involving my friend's dog eating my glasses) I needed to get new glasses ASAP. My out-of-town address was already on file (having purchased glasses from LensCrafters before), and she said they would ship directly to my home (after double-checking my address). Fast forward to two weeks later- I still didn't have my glasses, which meant that at night, after taking my contacts out, I was unable to see or do much of anything. I finally got a call from LensCrafters saying that my glasses were ready to be PICKED UP. In Wilmington. Where I don't live. After explaining that they were meant to be mailed to me, the person on the phone (without apologizing) took down my address (again) and said that they would be shipped the following MONDAY. She called me back an hour or so later to tell me that they needed credit card information because I NEEDED TO PAY to get them shipped to me. Not only did no one at LensCrafters apologize for having my glasses mailed to me a week late, but I had to PAY THEM MONEY for their mistake. If you have glasses, you probably realize how incredibly inconvenient it is to not have glasses for almost a month, especially when they cost so much! While I have never had a good LensCrafters experience, this was definitely the worst. read more
