He had rose gold added to the side of the ring, and a euro shank to help balance it out. I had no involvement in the ring design process - he did it completely alone with the help of CDI, and I love my ring to death!! It took about 3 tries of resizing for us to get the free just right, but now it is absolutely perfect. For my wedding bands, I had a design in mind and was able to work with CDI to get custom rings created. The custom rings were made to have the euro shank to line up with my engagement ring, and were also made to be the same width as the main ring in order to match better. I then wanted two different textures on each ring, and diamonds from my grandmother's wedding rings embedded in the side. Since these rings were then soldered together, it again took me 2 tries to get the resizing right. CDI was very patient with my vision, and helped create rings that I will love for life. Thank you!

She wanted to have the stone turned sideways so the stone would run parallel with the gold setting. I thought that sounded really weird, but, it is what she wanted. She went to see Randy Siegel at the Diamond Cellar. Randy advised us on what she could do with the stone and how to best design the new setting. He drew some designs, and then set us the CAD design. My wife had some questions and suggestions for the setting, which Randy incorporated into the design. When we went to go see the ring, we were stunned! It was better than I could have imagined ... and I originally thought the idea was stupid. I was blown away by how BEAUTIFUL it was! Randy also gave us great advice on how to best care for the ring and the diamonds. It was a great experience! I would NEVER hesitate to let Randy DESIGN ANYTHING FOR US. I know it will be better than we imagined.

That's a miss. When I did find a band in-store that worked, I moved forward--still without a clear idea of cost. After a long back-and-forth with a manufacturer, the quote came back at over $1,500 more than the comparable Tiffany piece. Pause. I also had to remind them about their own bridal promotion while actively making a purchase. That shouldn't be on the customer. To salvage the visit, I added earrings and dropped off jewelry for repair (which, to be clear, the smith work was excellent). But the buying experience? Still off.
