Went here on Saturday January 11th 2025 with my dad to get his truck inspected. Love the little waiting room for the guests as it has a pac man arcade game in which I was playing alot while waiting. It was actually really fun! Also listening to the bird chirp from his cage. They also serve coffee as well. And inspection went well too. We went to a dealership in Englewood NJ once and walked out the same day with a new car , all fixed up with a lease, no money down, super cool experience. When we went to Leo Kaytes it was totally different. They said they just sell cars for cash. So we went looking and found much better deals on Subaru. They are always giving to the Warwick community and nice people. But, maybe could be better at the business end. read more

I bought a used car from them in July and I have an issue with the cars alignment being off. The car has had two 4 wheel alignments but continues to drift to the right. I contacted the dealership and they informed me they would have someone contact me to schedule an appointment. That was over a month ago and every time I contact them to address the problem, I am starting all over again with my explanation and given the same solution, that someone will contact me. I am assuming the car was in an accident that was not reported and the dealership is just killing time since my warranty ends at the end of the year. If you are looking for a used car, I would recommend searching elsewhere. This dealership is like every other shady dealership. You are the most important person to them until you sign on the dotted line. Then you are garbage to them, unless you are of course looking to buy another car. read more

Unauthorized use of my credit card After picking up my car, I had an issue with the bill that I thought was taken care of by Joe the service manager yet another manager Rick called me dispute. The balance after lady had already corrected it and Joe it already corrected it or which I gave my credit card info to pay that bill then today without further conversation Leo Kates charge my card without my permission or authorization which I notified Ford Cares (which they don't care) amongst other issues mechanically, I'm still having problems with the service conducted and performed so my car isn't right even after the replacement. Nothing but great guys/gals working there and even did me a solid by loosening up some lug nuts on my wheels that swelled up that I wasn't able to remove with my own tools. Brought a car in for brakes,they wanted to replace everything at a cost of about $2000,for brakes. We ended up fixing ourselves for $250. If you try to sell a car to them,they will tell you it's worth less because you made better with some aftermarket parts,then when you say that you will remove,they'll tell you they'll give you even less,talk out of both sides of their mouths,bottom line being that either way,they're going to try and rip you off. If I could give this dealership a one star I would. Says 1991 my father and I have bought vehicles from the dealership. When Leo senior owned it, it was a good dealership. But when his son took it over all he cares about is his rotary. Not the actual customer. The following should be read in detail. It's a long story. My latest vehicle 2017 Ford Escape Titanium Has had an upwards of $34000 in warranty repairs in less than 2 years at this dealership. **After over 3 decades and this car thats had many major repairs in less than 2 years. Does it matter if I dry a lot. But the situation with this vehicle Including the many years hundreds of thousands spent between my father and I. I do not trust Leo Kaytes ever again. I will never recommend your dealership to anyone. Clearly you don't need our business. And numerous times my father requested Leo or Leslie to call him He was blown off. I would NOT buy from a dealership that I can't even trust to fix my vehicle. I spent $1500 to repair the sunroof on my Explorer 2 years ago. A few days later, it wasn't working properly. The roof opened and it rained flooding my car. They said they'd order the part and fix it at no charge. It's been more than two years now. When I call, they still tell me they don't have the part or they'd get back to me when they can fix it. Getting my money back is also not an option. Why would anyone trust a dealership that can't even be trusted to make a minor repair? read more

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU It is with deep regret that I share the following details about our experience with Leo Kates Ford. The dealership. in Warwick NY did not apply the $2000 Drive Clean Rebate that was being offered to NY residents. Leo Kates Ford's remedy was to rewrite the contract, indicating that we had received the incentive and that they would forwarded us a check when they receive it from the state. This is shabby at best, because we are currently paying a car loan that is $2,000 more than we should have paid. As a business owner, at the very least, I would have cut a check on the spot. If this was the only issue, we would probably not make such a big issue out of it. However, it is worse. The dealership did not even offer us the financing that is available through Ford even though we have accounts with you in good standing. Instead of financing that is being offered, as outlined on your site. Please refer to the following link: https://www.ford.com/finance/finance-options/ford-options Financing for 4 years and being able to either make a ballon payment at the end of the term would have been much more preferable to the financing that we were placed in. I have used Leo Kaytes, off and on, for service on my 2010 Ford Fusion. Last week I would hear a moaning sound in the steering column if making a 90 degree or more turn. I brought the car in to be checked. I was reminded it was due for an inspection, which I told them to go ahead and do. After waiting a fair amount of time, I was told that the undercarriage was extremely rusted, to the point of being dangerous, and that I should not be driving the car. It would never pass inspection. It was suggested I donate it. Being a skeptical person, I brought it to a garage that I have also used before. I was told there was some rust damage, but it was certainly safe to drive, and after getting a new tie rod, alignment and 2 tires, it passed inspection. The mechanic suggested that I might consider replacing the car next year, which I was planning to do anyway. Word to the wise, double check if you have any doubt. Kathy H. read more

Recently had an AC issue with my Lincoln SUV. Brought it in for service and the next day, once again it was not operating correctly. Brought it back and after a few hours they fixed it again replaced the fan. Of course I was given a bill which I paid, but it left a bad taste. After a few weeks this situation started to wear on me and I contact Leo Kaytes by email. The next day he phoned me and after a very professional conversation he resolved any issues and credited me for the original repair that was ineffective. Actions speak louder than words with a very ethical and frankly, unexpected response. Car dealerships are businesses and need to operate at a profit, I don't question that because I'm also a business owner. We have operating costs including salaries that need to be met in order to stay in business, but unfortunately many car dealerships don't operate like that. Some outright thieves who take advantage of the uneducated and poor. Many including myself have dealt with these bottom feeders, so it's easy to characterize all car dealerships as such. NOT HERE. I purchased a 2016 Ford Escape 3.5 years ago. 3 months after purchase, my transmission needed to be rebuilt. I drove another 62,000 miles on the rebuilt one and again my transmission has to be replaced. Apparently 2013-2019 Escapes have well-known transmission and engine problems; I found this out during this process. It has been sitting in their lot for a month. Ford customer service has been largely unresponsive and vague. My Escape has a total of 119,000 miles and will be on it's third transmission. I've accumulated a total of 70,000 miles since purchasing the vehicle certified preowned. I'm disappointed at what has transpired since my experience purchasing the vehicle 3 years ago was great. read more

Wish I could rate lower, spoke to Tom and test drove a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, I wanted to put money down that day but was told it couldn't happen, it needed to be checked out mechanically. My mistake I trusted him. I called the next day to see if it had been checked and was told it had not and to call back the following day. I call to find out someone else had already put a deposit on the car yet it was still in the shop being checked out. After being hung up on and lied to multiple times I finally was done and told them I would take my business elsewhere 0 stars 0 customer service 0 morals. Well after much searching for a specific Ford, Let Kaytes had it! With zero pressure like telling me I better hurry, it might be gone soon or some other ploy my wife and I drive up to check it out. We were prepared to deal but wanted to check it out first. We arrived to a great staff and we're hooked up with Sean (great guy)! After some introductions and meeting Leo we decided that yes indeed this was exactly what we were after and went for a drive in the country, while e were out they gave me a trade in number on my existing truck and it was just what we were after. They were so accommodating to my needs and took care of everything I could want. Needless to say we drove off that day with the truck of my dreams! Can't say enough about the team up there and will not only continue buying and getting serviced by them but I'll tell everyone it's worth the drive!!! Service dept. is extremely unaccommodating. I have purchased two cars from them and they have been after me to do all the service through them as well. Made some appointments which went very well the problem is just to get a simple oil change takes weeks. Are you kidding me its an oil change and I'm a loyal customer or at least I was. My husband and I purchased a Ford Explorer in November 2018 from Leo Kaytes and had a positive experience from beginning to end.  Naturally, when my husband was looking for a newer truck, we returned to the dealership.  Unfortunately, our second experience was nothing short of a nightmare. We ended up purchasing a 2018 F-150 on October 31, 2019.  Within in a week, my husband has already experienced multiple issues with the truck (check break light, 4 wheel-drive would not engage, and a small fluid leak). My husband brought the truck in on November 6th and was assured the problems were fixed (they were unsure of where the fluid was coming from at this time but did put dye in the oil tank to find the leak if it were to continue to occur).  That evening, my family returned home after dinner to find a much larger fluid leak and the check break light on again.  My husband brought the truck back, where it remained at the dealership for 16 days.  After having the truck back for a few days, the break light came back on.  The truck spent another 12 days at the dealership. When the truck was picked again on December 7th, the light came on again.  The truck went back into the dealership for about a week. When it was returned, the light remained off. Shortly after though, the truck began overheating as there was hardly any antifreeze left from the fluid leak that was never truly diagnosed nor fixed. Needless to say, we were frustrated and unhappy by this situation. I personally reached out twice via email with no response.   When my husband expressed interest in exchanging the vehicle because for a similar one on their lot because clearly there was something wrong with the one we had purchased that could not be fixed, he was greeted with "you'll take a hit on trade in due to deprecation" by one of the sales mangers. At this point we had no other option but to contact arbitration and the Attorney Generals office and file a Lemon Law suit. When the dealership was made aware of this, they offered to buy the vehicle back from us.  We ended up settling with them for the full purchase price of the truck as a convince to our family as we then needed to purchase a new vehicle.    I am incredibly disappointed in our experience with Leo Kaytes.  They have such high reviews, but our second experience was nothing short of horrific.  Not one time did anyone apologize for the inconvenience this caused my family (we live about an hour away so each time the truck had to be brought in and picked up was a chore) nor try to may the situation better prior to us taking legal action. I hope that the next customer has a better experience and that Leo Kaytes did a full inspection and diagnosed/repaired all continuing mechanical problems of the truck we sold back prior to relisting it on their website. read more

I recently leased a Mustang from here. They had told me that my deposit was going to cover the registration, title and other fees. I was notified that my license plates and registration were ready to get picked up today. Now I am here and they are telling me that my deposit will not cover all the fees. They are telling me that THEY did not estimate correctly and now I have to pay an extra $62. I am writing this in order to warn everybody that the representatives at Leo and Kaytes do not keep their word. They say anything in order to get you to sign and then they do not care about you afterwards. If a representative reads this, I have all the paperwork to proof that I had to pay the $62. I will not be doing any more business with them after my contract ends. read more

We had seen others at many of the other dealers but Courtney, Claude, Leslie and Michael made the whole process easy, smooth and very quick. We were in and out effortlessly in less than two hours. So six months ago I purchased a Chrysler Aspen to haul a trailer. It was perfect for us, even with 120,000 miles on it I was pretty confident we had a good car. As soon as we drove it off the lot the check engine light went on and we called Leo Kaytes who arranged with Chrysler to fix it- not once but three times. Bad oxygen sensor, lousy gas cap fit and problem with a filter. It was only downhill from there. That was March. In April it was a recall. In May it was more emissions problems, then in June it was tires, in July the radiator blew up, then there was a fan that broke and coolant went empty then the sunroof broke, plus the seatbelt in back. Now in October it needs new shocks, all new spark plugs, a coil spring broke and it needs new brakes and more tires. It was like they dressed up a nag to look like a racehorse. When I went back to complain, and offer to buy a new expedition if they'd do the right thing about the Aspen, the idiot used car managed Claude offered me $2,000 less than Blue Book value. What a sweetheart. Even thanked me for coming in!! Foolish people! I am a long time resident of Warwick and whenever people compliment my new expedition from another dealer, I'm going to explain exactly why I didn't buy from Leo Kaytes. These people will not stop calling me for a god damn survey. They are stationed in Warwick but I have been getting calls from NJ. They never leave a message, I got my car serviced for free not by choice because of a recall on my car and ever since JULY I have been getting calls from them. They don't even know my god damn name they butchered it when I called back asking who the hell keeps calling me and they do not care that I have told them before to stop and that I'm really mad about it. Why not to buy a Ford and specially why not to buy it at Leo Kaytes The team there has 0 coordination among departments, they are very inefficient and this results in very poor attention to the customer who has to suffer their lack of professionalism. - My Ford Focus had a problem in the clutch during 75% of the 3 year lease (36k miles) and they kept giving excuses and taking alternative free reprogramming "solutions". Everything but replacing the parts and mechanically fixing it. - I booked an appointment with a month in advance, took the time to explain why their previous fixes did not have any effect and I explained that I live in the city and why it was important to have it resolved at once and why I was giving them a full month to be prepared with the parts if necessary. They say they have noted everything down and everything will be setup so they can efficiently fix it. The day that I arrived they said they don´t do that on Saturdays, they had no idea the reason i was there for and I had to get a rental, pay for it out of pocket, leave the car for a week and they did not really do anything of use to the car. They tried to please me saying they reprogrammed it and "give it a try for 1000 miles", "run another 1000 miles until it learns again because this thing reprograms itself and learns from your driving..." and even said that is all that Ford´s warranty can do for us. They would even say "Buy a Honda or an Asian car", "These cars are not reliable and the warranty is fake. Sorry". - Two days later, they call to ask about my satisfaction (really, after admitting that they sell garbage?), since they faked to show some interest I explained to them the situation and they act surprised and as if they really cared. They send me a letter offering to renew our lease for a new Ford (hahaha) or even offer a 150,000 mile warranty if we purchase the current unit. (exactly the same fake warranty that says that my slippery clutch is within the acceptable operation parameters, hahahaha). The car normally had good enough power for what it is, but sometimes would shake when accelerating and loose clutch grip resulting in an intermittent acceleration and loss of power. - Finally, the day of "The End of the Lease" arrive and we are told by the operator on the phone to go to the dealer on a Sunday to do the car assessment before the return. When we arrive there, there is nobody, they are under construction and some lady apologizes and explains to us that we did not need to do any assessment at all, and also that with our current special warranty for which we pay 18$ extra every month, we just need to drop it off whenever we want. Great, we wasted a big part of our Sunday for which we had arranged the weekend around and supposedly had booked an appointment with one of their phone representatives. Clumsy, inconsiderate and irresponsible. But specially, nothing new. Thanks once again Leo Kaytes, you are one of the most unprofessional businesses that I have ever come across. Dear reader, don´t buy a Ford, and if you buy a Ford, just don´t buy it at Leo Kaytes. Disaster! UPDATE: The management contacted me after reading this, of course with no apology and requesting to know who I am "in order to help me and rely this information to Ford". Also replied unkindly after I indicated that I refuse to provide any info and told them that I am not looking to find any help from them nor Ford. I only do this with the purpose of warning other possible customers that could maybe care about my experience. read more

Just recently brought a Fusion in for brake service; to be told it was not really needed at this time. Fully honest and appreciated that. While some dealerships would just take a car in to repairs, needed it or not, have to let it be known that this happened and kudos given for it. read more

The service staff was super friendly and professional. In fact, I've dealt with plenty of car dealership service departments, and these guys are the most courteous and professional I've ever dealt with. Besides being extremely knowledgeable in their vehicles, these guys treat their customers like honored guests, with the most comfortable waiting area I've ever seen at a dealership. this is what you call one of those last few old school dirty dealers left in this area. they say the fish stinks from the head down and it all starts with leslie (general sales manager). i ordered a suv (mach-e gt) online from fords website, left a deposit per fords request waited 6 months finally got notice that my car was bout to be shipped to the dealership, and was told by leslie that i would have to pay a market adjustment of $5,000.00 and if i didn't pay they were going to sell me the car, really. leslie was rude, obnoxious, and curt. this dealer and the staff is stuck in time, they are in for a rude awaking. i filed a complain with the bbb, and will make sure others are aware of the shady practices. thank god ford build more than one car. either way i'd stay away from this dealership! shop around, don't pay a penny over sticker i found several dealerships that had the car and were not charging over sticker. you might have to drive a few extra miles, but it beats giving you hard earned money to dirty dealerships like leo kates ford. read more

I don't drive a Ford and have never been to this dealership. I was in the area and needed to charge my electric car. The dealership has a charger on the building. Not only did they let me use it, but an employee unplugged their car so I could use it. If I ever need a Ford, be sure I will make the trip to return the goodwill.
