This review is for the service department. I've used their service department a few times a few years ago, and never had a problem, but recently it's gone down hill. About a year ago I came in with an issue and was told it was covered under warranty and was given an Enterprise rental. Next day, I was told nothing was covered and that I had to pay for the repair and rental. (I would not have taken the rental had I known they would have the audacity to charge me) Ultimately, I fought and was not charged for the rental. This time (July 2019), I made an appointment for some warranty work and was told I'd have to sign to pay a diagnostic fee before the car was even looked at so they would get paid if the issue wasn't covered under warranty. (I have a Lincoln and have always used Wayne Lincoln and they never did this to me.) I wanted to give Leo Kaytes another shot because it is close to me. After wasting my time and leaving, I made an appointment with Wayne Lincoln where I confirmed that I won't be charged a diagnostic fee and was told that this was absurd what Leo Kaytes was trying to pull. Went to Kaytes on a Friday to see if they could locate a particular truck. They took my information and asked me to come back the next day. I went back the next day and they located a truck I wanted. We worked out all the financial and I gave a $500.00 deposit. They said they would have it by Monday or Tuesday. Monday they told me it was sold and I had to pick another truck. I stopped at Rte 23 Automall on my way home and there was the exact truck they had told me was sold. So I bought from Rte 23. Drove it home that night. I have been calling and emailing to get my $500 deposit refunded and they haven't yet. They say today that they can't do it on a Saturday. This place is a joke. They have no enthusiasm to sell cars. Dont waste your time. Go to a real dealership. read more

I will never buy a car from Leo Kaytes Ford in Warwick again, and I recommend that anyone who wants a stress free car buying experience to steer clear from this place and go elsewhere. I bought a Chevy truck from this dealership about six weeks ago, and at first, everything was great. The sales person was nice and promised me a new bed liner to go with my new truck. I was happy until I pulled off the lot and discovered a crack in my windshield. How did it pass inspection with a crack in the windshield was what I asked, but nonetheless, I was promised it would be fixed promptly. A week, two weeks goes by, and I cannot get a hold of the salesman. I finally get a hold of the manager, and he tells me that the salesman had no authority to promise me a bed liner and a new windshield. Also, I had put a $500 deposit that was supposed to be refundable or put towards the cost of my vehicle, and it was not. I was told they forgot about it, and it was already in their bank. Luckily, I had not finished all of my paperwork yet, so I refused to do so until I received what I was promised. I have no doubt that they would have ignored me completely had I finished signing everything. After two weeks, many phone calls, and a great deal of aggravation later, I was finally able to bring my truck in. They refused to fix my windshield telling me that it was "Okay." Next, I was told the Chevy liner would be an authentic Chevrolet OE part. When I received my truck back, the bed liner was installed so sloppily that I got the impression that a blind man could have done better. I also looked up the bed liner, and it was not an OE part, but the cheapest bed liner available on Amazon. Lastly, I was refunded my money WEEKS after the fact and only received the money back because I was persistent about it. This dealership was SO unprofessional. They clearly did not care about their customer service and were only concerned about making as much money off of me as they possibly could. This has been the worst car buying experience of my life, and I hope this review saves someone the aggravation I had to go through. Went to Leo Kaytes to purchase my daughter's first car. She initially saw it on their website. When we got there, the sales person Danielle brought the car out and took us for a test drive. My husband is fully knowledgeable with cars. She knew very little about the car. We went on ahead and purchased the car. Courtney was very friendly and everything was smooth until this point. They even gave my daughter a free remote starter. We left the car so they can clean and install the remote starter. When we went to pick up the car two days later, to our amazement the front bumper was detached from the car and it had a crack as well. The women had no idea what to say. The damage was not there when my husband inspected the car initially. So we left the car so they can repair it accordingly. At 3pm that same day I got a call from their mechanic (Claude)stating that they could not repair the damage and I could either take the car like that or pay for it myself or come in for a refund. We decided to get a refund for that damage was not there initially. Someone in their lot backed up and hit the car. Claude had the audacity to tell us that the damage was there already and that we were lucky to get a refund. In addition he told me that was not a safety issue. There was nothing in writing that the car had that specific defect. He showed us paperwork on how detailed he was when picking up used cars but he did not show me the paperwork on the car we purchased. Leo lost a sale and a possible return customer because his staff is not professional nor honest. Would Claude have told his daughter that that was not a safety issue? I don't think so. I don't blame Leo, but rather his staff (Claude)for making it sound like the damage was already there when in fact it was not! Someone did not want to get in trouble with Leo so they covered themselves. They could have thrown some other incentive to my daughter or show her another car and apologize for the inconvenience. My girlfriend and I made a deal over the phone with the wonderful sales person, Sean. There was several issues but we had made it work. After planning a day to go, we finally got there and had an issue with the insurance card. The finance "manager" Aaron walked out while we were getting ready to test drive the vehicle and sternly said to us that "we have a problem, and the insurance is not going to work. He was rude and unprofessional from the start. My girlfriend got the insurance taken care of and we signed papers. Upon leaving, the tire pressure light came on showing the front tire was 10 pounds lower then it should be. And the problems begin..... We immediately turn around and make them aware of the problem. They filled our tire and we left. Overnight the tire lost 20 pounds of air. My girlfriend called the next day to make them aware per my request and spoke to Aaron. I am appalled and extremely furious how Aaron took care of the situation. He was extremely rude to my girlfriend and completely unprofessional, stating "she was getting on his last nerve and had other things to move on and take care of", "if we don't want the truck to bring it back. Aaron also did not want to put in writing that we would be reimbursed for the tire fix that we just spent 35K on a truck with ZERO negotiation done by the dealer. I will not recommend a single person to this dealer, not only from the problem I immediately dealt with but because of the finance man. Upon speaking to some people in the Middletown area, this dealer does not have a good reputation - Had I known this, I would of never dealt with them. Very poor customer service especially the way my girlfriend was treated after try to get help fixing a vehicle we just bought less then 24 hours ago. read more
