That set the tone for the rest of the visit: disorganized and miscommunicated. I was told that my front brakes were in "terrible shape." When I spoke directly with the mechanic, he said they looked fine--until I mentioned what the salesperson had said. Then he reversed his opinion. This discrepancy repeated several times, making it unclear what the actual condition of the brakes was. Throughout the process, I was told the job would take "another 25 minutes." That exact phrasing happened four or five times, along with the statement "it's not an exact science," with no clear time estimate. After the work was completed, my car developed a new vibration during braking that did not exist before. When I called, I was told it would cost roughly another $300 to fix, even though the vibration only appeared after the work performed here. My invoice also included charges that were never explained or offered. During the visit, staff openly complained about each other (sales and mechanics), which contributed to an overall unprofessional and disorganized atmosphere. I paid significantly above the expected market rate for brakes and labor, and my vehicle came out in worse condition than when it arrived. Finally, I took the car to another Mavis location, and they informed me that the tire balancing was incorrect and appeared to have been done by someone inexperienced without a second person checking the work. Based on my experience -- unclear communication, inconsistent technical assessments, new mechanical issues, unexplained charges, and lack of quality control -- I cannot recommend this shop.

Almost two years later, after bringing it back six different times and letting them keep it for weeks at a time, it still leaks. I've shown them many, many videos of it leaking. They've had every chance to make it right -- but they just don't care. The service department is a complete mess. They never return calls, and when they do, it's always empty promises and excuses. The service manager, Dan Wilkin, will lie straight to your face, and the owner, Justin Annunziata, refuses to speak to customers directly. Not even sure if he's the owner that's what I was told. Was also told Gilberto Rosario was a salesman later found out he's the finance manager who also is very dishonest and still never got back to me. Everyone hides when it's time to take responsibility. To make matters worse, every time my Jeep is picked up from service, it's left dirty, carpet soaked under the weather mats, with new scratches, and my dash cam unplugged and removed from the windshield. Strange to unplug the dash cam if you're being honest! It's completely unprofessional and makes me question what's really happening while the vehicle is in their care. The parts department is a nightmare, they all need to educate themselves was told my sun-rider top was aftermarket when I bought it from them!!! This dealership is unprofessional, dishonest, and completely unreliable. They act like once they've got your money, you're no longer their problem. After nearly two years of patience, it's clear they're just hoping I'll give up and go away. I wouldn't trust this place to change the oil in a lawn mower, let alone service a Jeep. This occurred within the 1,000-mile used vehicle warranty that is standard in New York State. I brought the truck back to the dealership so they could diagnose the issue. I was informed that they could not repair it themselves and would need to send it to another dealership. After three days, I contacted them and was told that the truck needed a new catalytic converter. I was then informed that the dealership would not assist in any way with the cost of the repair. I was also told that management had been consulted and instructed the service department not to help resolve the issue. To say that I was disappointed with the initial customer service is an understatement. After this phone call, I followed up by writing an email asking very specific questions about the 30-day warranty I received, particularly to clarify what parts were and were not covered. Two days later, the General Manager, Justin, called me back to address my questions. Justin was extremely professional and considerate of my feelings and expectations. I honestly wish I had spoken with him first, because it was clear that he had my best interests in mind and genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase. After discussing the situation, he asked what the dealership could do to make things right. We negotiated back and forth and ultimately agreed that the dealership would cover the full cost of the labor and half the cost of the parts. I felt this was a very fair resolution and was happy we could come to an agreement. He also offered me a loaner vehicle while my truck was being repaired, which I appreciated. While the leadership of the dealership ultimately met -- and arguably exceeded -- my expectations, the service department still left me questioning why there was so little understanding or willingness to help from the start. I truly believe this entire situation could have been avoided had the initial response been more customer-focused. In the end, I am satisfied with how the General Manager handled the issue, but disappointed that it required escalation and a public review to get there. Strong leadership made the difference, but the inconsistency between management and the service department is something the dealership should seriously reflect on.

I am a monthly cash wash subscriber. I pay $35.14 each month for unlimited basic car washes. This is guaranteed income charged to my credit card monthly. I always tip the industrious, pleasant Mexican employees who dry my vehicle. The staff is, without exception, diligent and likely very underpaid. Today I went there for an oil change. I thought it would cost between $20-32. The recommended service for my car was $64.95. I have never paid this much for an oil change, but I was already there so I purchased it. I had downloaded a $3 discount coup to my phone from the company's website. When I presented the $3 coup to the cashier, she said she could not accept it because it had to be printed, although it said NOTHING on the site about the printing requirement. Tara, the co-owner, was at the desk talking on the phone. I asked her if she could accept the coupon. No, she said, it has to be printed because we need to scan it and send it to Mobil. Can you print the coupon for me, I asked? No. Can you just deduct $3 from my invoice, as I am a loyal customer. No. I asked why she was being so petty OVER THREE DOLLARS! No response. Then I stated that I would probably cancel my car wash membership. "Do you want me to cancel it NOW?", she replied, looking as if she had eaten a bad clam. Car washes in this area are expensive and overpriced. I use an average of 3 car washes/month - although I have the right to use more. To create unpleasantness with a customer over $3 and to be so customer-hostile and arrogant is simply bad business. I can't make this woman smarter or make her life happier, but I can narrate this experience so you can decide if you want to give them your business. This is a company where a customer is not valued; he is treated like dirt. read more

I've been a customer for 5 years and today was it for me! Over the years customer service has slowly deteriorated but the terrible level of service today out did even this group of incompetent idiots. I have gotten gas propane tires oil changes inspections car washes and cars detailed for 5 years. My last 2 trips have gone like this. Car goes for detail 200.00 plus 100.00 tip for the guys (easily verified ask any of the detail guys. if I'm not 1 of 1 I'm 1 of 2 that tips that much.) also getting an inspection which they have done 3 years in a row this would have been 4 apparently my window tint has darkened and they wouldn't do it. With some windex and bounty the tint was much lighter at the next place cause it passed! Today I ask how long for inspection? 10-20 minutes is the response I get. 25 minutes later after watching the imbecile look for an air filter and another car get pulled into the now empty bay next to were my Car is next filter boy tells me he is going to move my car to speed up process! my car now sits for 10 more minutes and when I ask what is going on imbecile # 2 tells me its gonna be a while cause they have to plug car in. Ive gotten a few cars inspected and it take no more then 10 minutes after you plug it in! Thats when I asked for my keys and continued to get an attitude from imbecile # 2 and I left. Moral of the story is, at this place loyalty doesn't matter - they treat everyone like shit! I hope anyone that reads this goes to this place and has the same SHIT experiences I have had and pens a wonderful review like I have! When this place goes up for sale I will buy it and restaff it so my fellow townies won't have to deal with halfwits! Till then I wish all who go the best of luck! read more

This place is pretty fire tbh, we do exceptional work all day long every day that you definitely won't see anywhere else. I do actually work here but I'm completely unbiased. I love this place and this little local community and all the sweet customers that come by during my shifts but I'm gonna be really really honest with all of you. I have personally never ever seen or worked at a place that has so many idiot regulars. You either have these really awesome and kind people coming through every day or completely entitled senile idiots who aren't mentally capable of dealing with minor inconveniences in their natural lives and most of which barely even know where they are half the time. I'm not surprised to see people completely enraged typing out these little stupid reviews. Probably just one of those people I deal with all the time at work. If you hate this place so much please stop coming because we get plenty of business and you're really annoying. If only the friendly customers were the only ones we saw every day. Will find problems with your car that are passable but will tell you need to get it fixed now. Had a friend go there and told him he needed new wiper blades. Wiper blades were only one year old and were good and not dry rotted but would not pass for inspection. Had another friend go there for oil change and was told they needed some other parts replaced had oil change done but they never put the cap on right and they lost some oil and the part she paid for was NEVER put in the car. It is over priced compared to other places in the area but they were quick and convenient so I didn't think much of it- My car was running as it should- I got a routine oil change and exactly one week later my car broke down and overheated. The first time I went there, the place was closed because somebody was away on vacation! I thought that was a great thing because everybody needs to get away and enjoy life with your family, but the fact that the whole business was shut down due to one person was my first sign that I should've gone elsewhere. I figured it was a smaller business and I wanted to support. The next week, I went back and it was open and I signed up. The next week I went back for a car wash and I pulled up and beeped my horn (as per directions) for so long over and over that I actually thought the place was closed. After waiting a total of seven minutes with the gate up, a short man came running through the wash area to help me. It was obvious to a duck, that he was working all by himself so I said nothing. The next time I went, I called myself going first thing in the morning, straight from work in Brooklyn. When I got there, the gate was open and the man came out very quickly, but told me that I had to wait a few minutes because the machinery was not working. I showed him my subscription sticker and he asked me to wait a few minutes. I was extremely tired first of all from working two tours in Brooklyn and then the drive up to my home, but I waited and after about four additional minutes, he got the machinery to work. The last time I went there it was raining in the morning, but the rain stopped before 9:30 AM., At 11:47 AM the sun was out and I went out and decided I would stop and get a car wash before I do my errands and the gate was down!! Meaning, they weren't doing car washes. I guess they considered it inclement weather that day, even though the rain stopped hours ago, and the forecast did not call for any additional rain for the whole day. As I was driving around back to the car wash area, I saw two trucks pulling out, which should've given me a hint, but I was hopeful and went to the back anyway. The gate was down I honked the horn a couple of times, and then I backed up and left. I'm canceling my subscription. I just can't play the guessing game every time I want my car washed. I need to go somewhere where I know for a fact I can get serviced. Aside from the car wash, they have an office attached to it at the front of the place. I went there to have my car inspected for the sticker on the front window and the man and younger female at the desk when you walk in the office told me it would be hours and hours of a wait. The female went on to say I would have to leave the car there if I wanted, but the man said I could wait but it would be hours. I asked them both if there was another place in the area that I could go get an inspection done. The place across the street recommended Dolson because the place I initially went to had a machine that wasn't working. In any event, that man and woman looked me in my face and told me there was no other place in the area, meanwhile.. I went right down the road on the right hand side diagonal from Rita's to a place called Middletown Auto Repair and Service and dealt with a man named Christopher or Chris He was a doll. While I know everybody is in business to make money, I don't think it's right to be so greedy and not give an honest answer when asked if there is someplace else a person can go to especially if you are too busy to service them. They were my advocate for making sure things and parts were done properly, (and not what the other insurance co. wanted to do). So when I got my little green car back, I was floored by how perfect it looked! Kind of felt like the day I picked it up from the showroom floor!!!! Oh and the interior was immaculate! The auto body has a picture of the way the car was received. Most, if not all of the trash in the pictures were not present prior to the vehicle being towed. Gloster & Sons claims that they did not fill it with trash and that it was the fire department.

Brought my girlfriend's 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee here for a routine oil change and they destroyed…read morethe engine. They forgot to reinstall a pressure relief/oil valve, so the engine got no oil circulation and blew. She ended up stranded in the middle of a two-lane road. Brand new vehicle, catastrophic damage -- from an oil change. Even worse was the response: no urgency, no help with the tow, no rental assistance, and no reimbursement for missed work not even an offer to reimburse the god damn oil change that ruined her vehicle . We had to figure everything out ourselves while they dragged their feet. We didn't want to go the legal route we had hoped a business would just make things right but that is far from the case . An oil change should never turn into a blown motor. I wouldn't trust this shop with a lawnmower.

I went to Juan to get a valve cover replacement since he diagnosed the pvc was bad everytime he…read moreopened the motor cap it went away but the car had a whining sound.This would be the third time I get my car service at this shop.I bought all the parts from fcp euro oem valve cover and spark plugs ,coil and a starter.He gave a high quote but I thought WTF the shop is close to me and they stand by their work.The car was there for almost two days.I paid Juan cash,tipped the mechanic and took my car.After driving it for about 30 minutes the same noise was still there.I went back and spoke to Juan and the mechanic and they both looked at me and said "we did everything the way it should be done- probably the pvc came defective".I told him "this is a brand new valve cover not a used one, ok I'll call and get another sent out to me and return this one" He asked me if the company will pay for labor -- WTF.. Basically telling me I would have to pay for the whole job again.When I ask him what he meant he told me his mechanic has to work on the car again which is about 5 Hrs of labor which was the same price $700 not to mention the $1100 he initially charged for the whole job.He was very dismissive and didnt want to stand behind his work or guarantee it .Absolutely absurd! This is not how a business should conduct business. I could of taken it anywhere else for half the price. I had to take it to my mechanic and pay again for the job to be done the right way... these guys at elite are clowns. Guess what my mechanic found out .These Fucktards at ELITE AUTO WORK knew exactly what they did and never told me a thing.The mechanic snap one of the screws in half then tried to take it out with a tap and snap that inside trying to take the screw out and left that inside.He then put silicone around the new valve cover,cut an old screw or put the same one he snapped with silicone.I guess he put silicone just so it would look like it was screwed in.Instead of just taking out the screw and the tap that he broke. This would of never worked with all the pressure inside the valve cover when the car is on.So basically you charge your consumer double for your mechanics incompetence & dishonesty. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I would give zero stars.I posted pictures of what these guys do at the Elite shop.--- **consumer Beware**
