I was just looking up Dr. Davis' phone number and can't beleive I have never rated him! A neighbor recommended him about 20 years ago when we grew tired of the "Dentistry for Profit and Pain" business model. After one visit to his office I put all of my family into his care. He has been treating my family for around 20 years. He has made happy patients out of every person we have refered to his practice. He and his staff are beyond friendly and personal and Dr. Daniels is the best dentist I, and my family, have ever had. He's the best dentist ever. He is able to do what no other dentists can do. When my tooth broke every other dentist told me I would have to have the tooth polled. Dr. Davis took one look at it and said hey I can fix that, and he did. I'm so grateful that I still have my own tooth in my mouth! I cannot recommend him highly enough! Dr. Davis himself is an excellent dentist. He cared for my sweet mother-in-law, and I liked him so much that I've been going to him for years afterwards. I trust him completely with my dental health. He's also had some great therapists on his staff. On my last visit, however, I had a substitute therapist who was definitely below standard. She scraped my gums till they throbbed and bled then blamed me for not flossing properly. In my past experience, most therapists polished my teeth then flossed. This one not only totally omitted the flossing procedure, but she also did a hokey-pokey, slap-dash polishing job, just touching on a few teeth here and there! She was done with my cleaning faster than any therapist I've ever had before, so I know this must have been a rush job. Don't know if this is the modern way of dental hygiene, but it left me with a bad impression. read more

After living in Sunnyvale for over 10 years I FINALLY found a great dentist! I have seen a few dentists in the area. They all did unnecessary work and overcharged me for everything. I resorted to driving to my old dentist in San Bruno. Which was fine, but a longer drive than I wanted to make....especially if I had a toothache. I was referred to Dr Davis by a friend. I WISH I had found him 10 years ago. He is a great dentist. He does NOT do unnecessary work, and NEVER overcharges!!!!!! And he tells great stories while working on my mouth, which makes it more pleasant and calms my nerves. His assistant April is super nice. And Nancy, who runs the front desk, is also SUPER nice!!!!! Dr. Davis is an outstanding dentist! The attributes that make Dr. Davis stand out from the rest are his ethics (honesty), his skill (35 years of experience), and his friendliness to put one at ease. Usually, I dig my nails into the armrests. My cavity was below the gum line. He has very deft hand movements. As I had no pain, I was able to relax. He advised me to take a painkiller afterwards; I did not have to take a painkiller! One tooth has a slight chip; he told me that it didn't require a crown. He is an awesome dentist! I had the BEST experience with Dr. Davis this week! I received a quote of $4k from Western Dental to repair my broken crown. I was told I needed an implant and that my broken crown could not be repaired and re-glued. (Yes, the $4k was including my insurance discounts!) THANK GOD I got my 2nd opinion from Dr. Davis because he fixed it for $220!! Dr. Davis definitely cares more about people than money - And creating long-term relationships. He saved me $3,780! And he was SO nice and funny :) His staff were all great, they got me in (on time!) and our in 1 hour. Happy as can be! I was a little bit confused by the name, but Dr. Leon Davis, Jr. is my dentist. Dr. Davis has been my dentist since childhood, and he is FANTASTIC! I have NEVER had a bad experience at the dentist. While other people may cringe about getting a teeth cleaning, I can't understand it. I'm very eager for all of my visits, and thanks to Dr. Davis, I have never had a cavity! All of the staff are kind and are willing to do whatever you ask, if you have sensitive teeth, you can tell them and they'll be as gentle as possible. I definitely owe my healthy smile to Dr. Davis and his staff, who teach good oral hygiene, and are easy to talk to about concerns/questions. All the receptionists are friendly and know what they're doing, they handled my insurance switch with ease. Dr. Davis himself is definitely what keeps people coming back. Even if one of the other staff members cleans your teeth, he always comes in to personally check on you and chat. He always asks me about my family, and tells me about his own family. Dr. Davis has been a family friend since I was in middle school. It wasn't until I was about 19 that I became his patient. After a recent visit I decided to write a review. Leon is one of the greatest people I have had the pleasure of working with. He's extremely kind and always asks about how I'm doing when I visit. His techs/assistants are so kind and gentle (although my dad has had one rougher experience). They're always super gentle with me when they work on me and check to make sure they aren't hurting me. Leon is always extremely accommodating and willing to work with me. I recently lost my dental insurance and he was able to work with me to make sure that I was able to get my dental work done without breaking the bank. I cannot recommend Leon any more highly. I have been going to Dr. Davis for about 20 years. First visit was an emergency visit on a Saturday evening. My son was seen by him on Christmas day once in an emergency. He is honest, kind, provides the least intrusive method possible, and always remembers everything about me and my family. Me and my family have been using services of Dr Leon Davis since we moved to bay area in 2015. My first visit to him was an emergency and he came to his office on late Friday evening to treat my emergency. He always care for his patients. He does not rush you into treatment and lets you know all your options and his suggestion. People I referred him to have same experience. I agree with all the other reviews- Dr, Davis is amazing. My 89-year-old dad has been trying to find a new dentist for 2 years - if you live long enough your go-to doctors retire and you have to find someone new. No small task. Unfortunately, we went through 2 unsuccessful dentists before being referred to Dr. Davis and my Dad couldn't be happier. (Don't ever use 1-800-DENTIST) Trying to fit dentures can be a challenge, but Dr. Davis is a professional of the first order. His prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. His parting words after each visit were "If it isn't right, come back; that's why I am here" and he has been awesome. If you have had a bad, or even terrible, experience with a dentist then raise your hand. I have both of mine raised, and if I were an octopus I would have all eight reaching for the sky. I was beginning to think that winning the lottery without buying a ticket was much easier than finding a good dentist. I was having a (tooth) problem and had just been treated by a local dentist (whom I will not name) and had one of the worst experiences imaginable. And while they charged me a lot of money the problem was never corrected. If having a bad tooth would not cause real health problems I would have let the tooth remain as it was. A good friend recommended Dr. Leon Davis, in Cupertino, CA and told me he and his family have been treated by Dr. Davis since forever. I had to do something, so I made an appointment with him. I am amazed, honestly amazed at how correct my friend was, and how great Dr. Davis is. He is personable, friendly, humorous, careful, gentle, and downright "GOOD!" My friend told me. "Dr. Davis is not cheap...but he is not over priced (a common thing in Silicon Valley), that he is honest, and will not do any procedure that is not warranted ." All of this is true! Dr. Davis is awesome. A friend had recommended him to me using those exact words, and she was totally right. My husband and I both go to him and have been for about a year. He's super honest, easygoing, nice, careful, and thorough. There is none of the "scare you" stuff that other dentists have tried. I will be crushed if Dr. Davis ever retires. It's taken me over 40 years since coming to California that I have found the best dentist EVER! Dr. Davis is practical, honest, warm, efficient and he really, truly genuinely cares for his patients. I have been to literally dozens of dentists always searching for that perfect dentist. My search is OVER! He leaves all other dentists biting the dust. He's had to do some diffiicult procedures on me because of my adverse reaction to novacaine and he handled it so efficiently, with gentleness, warmth and caring. He also has the best hygenist ever. I only see the one but she is so gentle but highly competent and extremely efficient. But rumor has it that the other hygenist is also excellent beyond words. I guess the best attract the best. I have been going to Dr. Davis for more than 10 years and I recommend him to everyone so I really don't know why I didn't Yelp him before. I went thru many dentists before him and they always wanted to sell me the latest and greatest and/or were just plain bad dentists. Dr. Davis was recommended to me by a neighbor and since my first visit I've never looked back. I have been more than satisfied with his ability, friendliness and staff. And, as I have told everyone, he gives great Novocaine if needed! I always thought he was just prepping the area when in fact he was already done.
