Went to Village Dental of New England: Leonard DiPaolo, DDS…read more Walked in at my appointment time and was greeted by a very nice receptionist. Then they called me in and insisted that I take a "tour" of his entire facility. It's a rather small office that is in the shape of a "U". I thought that was a little bizarre (when's the last time you went to the dentist and had to take a tour of the entire place?). Then after I was brought into another exam room.I had a cap that broke off and needed a replacement tooth. The dentist starting talking about how my teeth didn't seem to be "aligned" very well and that he would have do work to "align" my teeth before he could even think of fixing the broken tooth. I asked what kind of money he was talking about and it ended up being over "ten thousand"......Are you kidding? I have never been told my teeth were misaligned by any dentist! Then he asked me to go to another room where he asked me a "million questions" and then he wanted to take my picture.....I refused because honestly this whole thing was getting really weird. I ended up being nice and saying I would let them know even though I was thinking something entirely different. I've been to a lot of dentists, but never experienced anything like this. I ended up going to the dentist I go to now, who said no problem, and got the tooth repaired with no hassle whatsoever. My dentist put a new cap on and it looks perfect. I have no idea what that whole thing was about at Village Dental of New England: Leonard DiPaolo, DDS, but buyer beware...I think they are into making money...lots of money! Never went back needles to say.

I had some really horrible experiences here. This was about 9 years ago, but I can't imagine he's…read morechanged that much... 1. During my consultation at age 16 he referred to the space between my front teeth as a "gap in my face," and couldn't believe that I might not want to close it because I thought it was part of who I am, and it did not impair my speech or eating at all. 2. He listens to Republican talk radio while he works. Gross. 3. While removing my braces he told me if I didn't stop crying (silently! Didn't complain verbally once! And that procedure was painful) that he wasn't going to finish removing them. 4. He refused to shave down the back of my retainer even though it cut my tongue and I complained that it gagged me while I was sleeping and woke me up almost every night. 5. The braces left very bad scarring on the sides of most of my back teeth and he left cement on some of my teeth when he removed the braces, which I had to then had to have removed somewhere else. I dreaded every moment I had spend in that office, and I told him 6 months into my 18 months of wearing a retainer that I was never going back to him. Good riddance, and good luck to anyone who decides to see that guy.
