Great view from the dental chair

Highly recommend this place! I was referred here by another dentist because I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled out and had procrastinated on it so the roots were so deep my regular dentist couldn't do it. I'm glad I got it done here. Dr. Lem and his staff were so incredibly nice and thoughtful. I've always been slightly scared to go to the dentist and the whole experience great. Dr. Lem takes the time to walk you through the procedure (even during) so you're never surprised on what's going on. His assistants during the operation were so kind, considerate, and took great care of me. The healing process was not bad at all. I had pain the first day after surgery but the second day onward there was virtually minimal pain and discomfort. Bonus - rather than boring white walls, the view while you're waiting and getting your teeth done is awesome!

Dr. Lem removed a cracked tooth for me & installed a titanium implant last year. I felt very little pain, he uses the latest technology, his work is impeccable, and his staff is kind. Everybody is very competent. The front office is pretty persistent with reminding you about your appointments, but if you're a procrastinator like me, it was a benefit Since installing the crown over the implant, I've had zero problems & don't even notice it's not my own tooth. This was my first implant & Dr. Lem & his office did a great job explaining everything and putting me at ease. I recommend his office to my friends & coworkers without hesitation

I'm surprised at all the negative reviews on here for Dr. Lem. I was referred to Dr. Lem by my dentist since I had to remove a wisdom tooth out. I remember the nurse telling me that this would be the best nap I've ever had. The next thing I remember was waking up and seeing the nurse next to me. I asked her when were we going to get started and she informed me the procedure had already been done. It was indeed the best nap I've ever had. I think Dr. Lem did a great job because I didn't swell up nor was I in any pain what so ever. I returned back a week later for a check up and everything was great. I was back to eating solid food and using mouth wash again. Yay! I'll admit the procedure was a bit costly. I paid cash and spent a little under $800 for 1 wisdom tooth. They told me mine costed more because of how impacted it was and not to mention I was put to sleep. Best decision ever! since I don't endure pain well. They do accept credit cards but will give you a discount if you agree to pay in cash. They have a parking lot that they share with other offices so at times it maybe difficult to find a parking spot.

Recovery has been smoother than expected due to their careful work, post-op instructions, and phone follow-up. I was originally terrified to undergo the procedure and sedation. Dr. Hanna and his team made it as comfortable a process as they could, sending me off with a smoothie and wheeling me to my car downstairs. I appreciate the care and thoughtful gestures so much. My first surgery appointment here was canceled without warning (I only learned upon calling them to ask about my surgery), but the office apologized for it and was able to set me up with another appointment easily. The office is super busy so it's sometimes tough to get a call in. However, staff always treats you with dignity and patience, which I am grateful for. The physical office itself is spotless with a small lobby. It's located on the second floor and parking can get full due to other businesses in the building, so I recommend coming a little early to make sure to secure a spot. Overall, highly recommend this place for anyone in need of oral care. The team is stellar here!

Beware! Extremely disappointed with the work done here for a crown…read more Initially when I had the temporarily crown put on, the bite was off and Dr. Desai shaved a significant portion off which caused my tooth to become extremely sensitive to a point where I cannot eat from one side of my mouth. Once the actual crown came, I should've known something was off when he spent a good amount of time shaving and adjusting the crown and opposing teeth. After the crown was put on, now both my crown and opposing teeth is extremely sensitive to temperature and I am experiencing pain from chewing. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Desai he stated everything looks fine and the pain should go away over time. I decided to go to another Dentist for a second opinion and his diagnosis was that the crown was oversized and it needs a replacement. He performed a series of bite test and he showed me which spots were higher than the others. Also you can visibly see that the crown was entirely flat on top due to all the shaving he performed on an oversized crown. Dr. Desai should have known that the measurements were wrong when the temporary cap did not fit. But instead of remeasuring the tooth and reordering the right sized crown, he decided that flatting the entire top side of the crown will do the trick. Initially his front desk staff was extremely responsive but after asking for a copy of the receipt and pictures of the x-rays, their response was are "extremely busy" and will try to email me the next morning. Next morning came, still no email.

My daughter was referred to Abari Orthodontics for an oral surgery consultation regarding the…read moreextraction of my 8-year-old daughter's severely decayed permanent molar (#14). Before we could even be seen by the oral surgeon, I was told that she needed an orthodontic consultation first. As expected, because my daughter is only 8 years old and still has many primary teeth, we were told she was not a candidate for orthodontic treatment at this time. We then had to schedule yet another appointment to finally see the oral surgeon--the very reason we were referred to the office in the first place. During the oral surgery consultation, the doctor agreed that the tooth needed to be extracted but recommended a bone graft that was not covered by insurance. When I asked whether the extraction could be performed without the bone graft, I was told by the treatment coordinator that the doctor would not perform the extraction unless the bone graft was also completed. As a parent, I wanted to understand the specific clinical reason for that decision. I requested written documentation explaining why the bone graft was necessary in my daughter's case and why treatment would be denied without it. Instead, I was provided with paperwork recommending a second opinion, which did not answer the questions I had asked. My concern is not that a bone graft was recommended. My concern is that I was unable to obtain a clear explanation of the clinical findings supporting the recommendation or the reason extraction alone was not considered an option. When parents are being asked to approve a procedure that is not covered by insurance and comes with a significant out-of-pocket cost, they deserve a clear and detailed explanation. Having worked in the dental field myself, I understand how insurance reimbursement and contracted fee schedules work. In some cases, additional procedures that are not covered by insurance can create significant out-of-pocket expenses for families, particularly when patients have state-provided insurance or plans that reimburse at contracted rates (HMO). While I cannot speak to the intentions of this office, the situation raised concerns for me because the recommended treatment involved an additional non-covered expense, yet I was unable to obtain a clear explanation of why it was required before the extraction could be performed. Parents should be aware of this and feel comfortable asking detailed questions whenever additional out-of-pocket procedures are recommended. I encourage other parents to ask questions, request copies of radiographs, seek second opinions when appropriate, and make sure they fully understand the rationale behind any recommended treatment before proceeding.
