We are so disappointed. We went to the Metuchen store on 8/1/25 to look for watches. We had a wonderful experience with Rosy, who was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave us a great deal. We selected a watch they didn't have in stock. We stressed that we needed the watch by 8/15. Rosy made sure to contact her sales rep to confirm. She called the same day and promised that it would be there by the 15th, stated probably before, we gave a deposit over the phone. I called on the 14th to check if it was received yet. She said no, but was expecting it the next day and would call when she received. Long story short, no watch and no explanation about where it was or why it wasn't there 2 weeks after ordered. We canceled the order and got our deposit back. And purchased the same watch with another jeweler that had the watch in stock. We planned on using Leonardo for future watch purchases. But not now. I had an incredible experience working with Leonardo Jewelers in Metuchen. I had gone in to get a watch purchased elsewhere serviced and had the pleasure of meeting Rosy and Vivian. I noticed they had 3 Rolex watches available for purchase. I tried on a 36mm Oyster Perpetual Datejust with the fluted bezel and a blue dial in mint condition and told them that I wanted a day to think about the purchase. Vivian held the watch for me after I called later that day and I purchased it the following morning. This is a family run business and they have another location in Red Bank. Came to this location on a Saturday via the Tudor website as they were listed as an Authorized Dealer. I had been eyeing the Black Bay model for some time and wanted to check it out in person. When I arrived, Vivian greeted and tended to my needs, quickly showing me a number of Tudor watches I was interested in. After telling them about the watch I wanted, they were quickly able to locate it at their Red Bank location. After mulling it over for a couple days I called back and Rosie, another associate, was able to transfer the one I wanted within a couple days. The immediate Friday I made another visit to pick up the watch I wanted. Both Vivian and Rosie were here and were wonderful to work with. I will definitely be coming back here for my future watch purchases as they have a pretty decent selection of Tudor and Rolex's among many other brands! I came in early afternoon Saturday July 15th 2023. My brother had been in the market for an investment piece to celebrate his graduation, and transition into the full time work force as an engineer. When we came in, we were immediately buzzed in without having to wait any time. We were then asked if we'd care for some water, cookies, or chocolates. The jewelry is gorgeous. Mostly designer pieces, which were not marked up past their normal price; always nice to see. I did not purchase anything for myself but my brother had. He had purchased me a simple gold necklace, which was accompanied by a substantial gold chain. The price was fair, the quality was excellent and the customer service was beyond exceptional. My brother left extremely happy, my fiancé left knowing about a very reliable place to buy future gifts! I do have to say, I did not see anyone in the store receive customer service & interactions less than us. They do not pressure you into buying pieces you don't love. There's no attitude about showing you items, which made me feel very comfortable asking to see pieces and gauging price, quality, and aesthetics! I would definitely recommend coming here if you're shopping jewelry, they do in house repairs too. However, if you plan on staying long I got a bit chilly. But, that being said I run very cold. I will never attempt to patronize this store again. I went in today for the first time to buy a gold and diamond bracelet as a birthday gift and a very rude man shouted to me to pull down my mask. I asked why and he said because your face is covered and you're wearing a mask. I said that's because of Covid. He said well we need to see your face because this is a jewelry store and you're wearing a hat and mask. I was not wearing a hat. Even if I was, this was unacceptable, ESPECIALLY the tone. Rude and unwelcoming. It's the middle of the day and a customer is coming in to shop wearing a mask because of Covid- not unusual at all. He was rudely shouting to me from across the store. Also no employees greeted me or tried to assist me. Also, they had been open for a couple of hours and there was no one in the store. I never see anyone in the store when I walk by. I wonder why.
