This is quite a find...authentic Italian Pizza in The Keys. The Food Truck setup is nice, and they make a fantastic product for a very reasonable cost. This is the true taste of Southern Italian Pizza...a light sauce with quality mozzarella and fresh basil on the Pizza Margherita. The crust is very thin, softer in the middle, and chewy around the edges with a distinctive charred bottom that adds a great flavor. The service was friendly and efficient. Wow! Some of the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had! And finding it on an island off the coast of Florida of all places?!? I'm from Chicago, and barely consider the deep dish stuff "pizza". I do however live close to a Neapolitan pizzeria, Spacca Napoli which has received tons of awards including top 100 in the world from Italian "50 Top Pizza". Stumbled onto this place on day one of our week in the keys after a trip to Publix. We got two margarita pizzas. I haven't had Neapolitan pizzas this good outside of Europe and to find them by accident in the keys!! We came back a second time before heading back to South Carolina. This is our FAVORITE pizza spot in South Florida. We come down to the Keys quite frequently because we own & run "The Sandcastle Suite" at Ocean Isles 38, an AirBnB in Marathon. Leopoldo's is our first stop! We usually go for the margarita pizza because it is pure delicious perfection beyond imagination! We like to sit at the picnic table and eat it while it's fresh out of the oven for the full effect! We have walked over 3 times in the last 3 days and will probably be back again today! EVERYTHING WE ORDERED WAS AMAZING & THE SERVICE IS TOP TIER. 8 of us are staying in Marathon for vacation so it is hard to find anywhere to eat that is not only good but accommodating for that many people. Leopoldo La Verace checked every box we had. We ordered their truffle, cheese, meat lovers pizzas and all of them were good. THE MEAT BALLS... INCREDIBLE! We even had a person in the group with a cheese allergy and they were able to make him a special calzone. Came for a quick getaway from Ft. Lauderdale. I really wasn't expecting this place to be that good. In fact it was beyond good! The pizza is cooked perfectly with the crust having a little crisp texture. I ordered the pepperoni with ricotta, white onions and truffle oil! My mind is blown that this comes from a food truck.
