Went to Leo's about four years ago and was not impressed with the food, but we went back this week and it was very good. I ordered the euro sandwich and I think it was some of the best euro meat in the valley. It also came with soup, and I had a choice of cream of broccoli, clam chowder or chicken dumpling. I chose the cream of broccoli and it was very tasty and nice chunks of broccoli in it also came with a side salad. Good value for your money. Service was nice place was clean. I have lived in the Greenville area for a long time and been here over 20 times. Almost every single time the service is just awful. No one ever comes to check on you after you order. The last two times I just couldn't wait any longer and had to walk up to ask for boxes and my bill. It is a family diner owned and operated and I love that there is a diner like this but I hate that this is overpriced for simple food and has awful service. I will keep periodically trying hoping they improve but will on a go forward basis just reluctantly drive further to the other better and cheaper diners read more

The staff is mostly friendly except for one older server who seemed annoyed and unhappy. We avoid the fried ANYTHING because the oil they use is poor quality and gives us stomach issues. Can't say I would recommend this place. The food is subpar but the location is good. They could definitely up their menu and use better ingredients. So many other choices in Appleton. The atmosphere is tired and neglected...so sad. So much potential:-( read more

In town for work and stopped by this family run diner. Service checked on me often, food came out quickly, and tasted pretty good. I got the crispy chicken sandwich, everything comes with fries and soup of the day - enough food for me to take some home. The whole menu is under $20 aside from a steak sandwich (reasonable). While traveling Wisconsin. I decided to stop for a quick lunch and found myself at Leo's Diner. I was pleasantly surprised and found the experience to be an enjoyable lunch. The restaurant was clean and service started off a little shaky. The coffee was served without creamer on the table, I had to ask. I ordered a patty melt. It was served with soup and fries. I was going to order the Reuben but they were out of sauerkraut. Decided on the patty melt instead. The service was initially slow but improved as time went on. The food was flavorful and served hot. The fries were good and not full of French fry dregs. The prices were and offered great value. When I consider everything, the slow service, and not having sauerkraut, and the food generally being about average, I can only give 3 stars. However, when in the area by the Appleton Airport again, will try stop by. read more

I ordered Daily Special Chimichanga my wife ordered eggs and a side of biscuits and gravy. The Chimi was terrible, to begin it looked like a deflated mini football, and there was no flavor in the beef. The filling had sautéed bell peppers and onions that were under cooked and tasteless. The rice was bland and smelled like plastic. It had probably been refrigerated in a plastic container and possibly microwaved in plastic as well. The biscuit was sliced in half with the bottom being hard as a rock. While the gravy was decent, it needed more sausage. This is the third time I've eaten here and my first review. My other 2 experiences were maybe a 3 star at best. read more

I mean this is your definition of greasy spoon diner. I wish I had better things to say about the meal but my meal gave me a stomach ache all day. The eggs were overcooked (scrambled) and the potato pancakes were swimming in grease. I asked for a cappuccino and it was really powdery and not mixed well. I was just not a fan. read more

I took my dad out for a Father's Day breakfast. 3/4 through my omelette, I discovered a hair intertwined in the ingredients. We tried to get someone's attention. Finally, our server brought the check (she never returned to refill coffee or check on us). I told her there was a hair in my meal. She immediately replied "No one in the kitchen has long hair" I told her it was intertwined inside the omelette. Same response. We asked for a manager. She replied "I am the manager". I was not looking for a free meal, nor would I have accepted one as I ate most of it before the hair was discovered. However, acknowledgement and an apology goes a long way. Quite disappointed. The diner was busy at first, but I was able to sit at the counter. Someone finally asked me if I wanted anything to drink as he handed me a menu. I asked for coffee. It took a little bit for a waitress to stop by. I ordered a ham & mushroom skillet. It came with options and I picked the 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. The skillet came and tasted bland. It had onions in it, which was not noted on the menu, and I did not ask for them. I hate onions. The onions ruined the skillet even though it really wasn't that good to begin with. They did not bring the biscuits and gravy until I asked someone after quite a bit of time had passed. They brought the biscuits and gravy out, and the food was luke warm at best. I had to flag someone down for a coffee refill as no one checked on me nor asked if I wanted anything else. The diner thinned out rapidly and did not stay busy. It was steady, but the staff they had was adequate and should have been more attentive to their customers. I will not return. read more

The main dish was good but the soup was not. The big deal was the bill. Our 3 meals were $9.29-9.79-9.99+ 5.5% sales tax which comes to a total of $30.67. We told her it was not right and she made up some extra $1.50 charge which still does not come up to that total of our bill $34.30. We payed the bill but they will only get us once. Needed a breakfast on the west edge near appleton. We stopped into Leo's and my daughter and wife were commenting on it being attached to a gas station. But the minute we walked in the smells were delicious and folks coming out were very pleased so i felt good about what i had chosen. We were Seated quickly in a booth and a review of the menu showed an extensive menu. Very nice waitress, and fairly prompt on taking drink orders. They had options for three eggs v. Just two, though most will let you do this they actually advertised the option with the price. Very helpful. They also gave a half order of biscuits and gravy as a sub for toast for the breakfasts. I jumped on that as a good biscuits and gravy is my favorite but dont need a whole order. I also had not really found a good sausage and gravy anywhere in the area.....well it was not only good but probably one of the best i have ever had. Will try to make it here again when i am on this side of town for bfast. read more
