Food is on point but what's up with the older miserable hostess with the brown bob? No hello or welcome, and then slam our water glasses down on the table with no "oops" or "sorry", then briskly walk away with a scowl on her face. If she was my employee, she'd be gone. Daughter's Chicken Pompador earned a first bite reaction of, "This is goooood!" And wife's Turkey Dill was devoured. Only knock is that the server never checked on us after that obligatory "How are the first few bites" check, so she didn't see that our waters had run low. I've been here multiple times when I'm in town, and it's always been a decent experience, though nothing outstanding. It's a cute little cafe with multiple rooms/areas, and a gift shop to look in while you wait. Parking can be hard to come by, especially during busy times. Their menu isn't terribly extensive, but they have a a decent variety. Service has been a little low on a couple of occasions-water glasses left unfilled, soda refills never brought, but overall it's been decent. On my most recent visit, I ordered the eggs benedict and they weren't cooked well-the eggs were too dense/hard and didn't have a runny yolk like they should. It was still enjoyable, but it was a little 'off.' Otherwise the food is usually pretty good, and prices are decent. It's a good option for a little bit different dining vibe in the Green Bay area. read more

Love this place! They've taken traditional cafe food and put their own delicious twist on it. The only downfall of coming here is the slow service so I only go when I know I have time. And it's not even that the food takes long to get to you. It's the initial service of getting your order taken and then also paying at the end. Not sure if it's a staffing thing or what but it always seems to be an issue when going here. read more

Looking for a nice brunch spot? Grapevine Cafe is quaint and rustic with their interior. I had their hot chocolate and Early Bird. This was two poached eggs and I had sausage patties and white toast. My friend had the Corn beef and hash with poached eggs. First time for poached eggs for both of us. While I enjoyed mine, my friend said he preferred sunny side up over the poached. The menu did seem a bit limited for a breakfast and lunch spot. Don't get me wrong, glad it isn't like a 10 page menu of everything, but think they could bring in more people with a slightly larger selection of fair. Service was very good and timely. This place is our favorite location for breakfast dates. Wonderful atmosphere with many private alcoves for "private" dining. The entire dining area is somewhat secluded amongst the artwork, furnishings and decor. I would call it "upscale cozy". Service has always been very good, the prices are quite reasonable for the quality, and portion size is ample. The menu is straightforward and relatively simple. This isn't a diner with 10 pages of breakfast items. The offerings are unique spins on traditional meals and are delicious and attractive. While it doesn't stop us from going, I'm not a fan of how the meal is paid for. I've always felt this is something that should done in "seclusion"; placing money or a credit card in the little black folder and handing it to your server. At Grapevine the server brings a credit card machine to the table and does the transaction in front of you. I find this a little off-putting but don't let that stop you from visiting this wonderful place. read more

The most delicious meal I've eaten in a long time. I got the burger.. perfectly cooked and the bun was toasted and buttered and just delectable! So their food is great, the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The hostess, Sharon, was short with us and sat us at a dirty table with used plates. When we asked for a rag to clean it ourselves, she walked off in a huff and didn't come back for several minutes. I went to the restroom and she was busy chatting with a server, meanwhile, my partner is trying to keep my toddler from eating an old piece of toast left in front of him. I can't say enough good things about this place. I went a long time ago and remembered enjoying it. I'm home for Christmas so my sister and I thought we would take our boyfriends for lunch. The atmosphere was even nicer than I remember. Completely decked out for the holidays with a full coffee bar area. I ordered the Turkey Dill sandwich and a glass of Pinot Grigio. I can't believe the sandwich was only $10! Way less than it would cost in LA! It was literally one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Whoever thought of dill cream cheese is a genius, and I think sprouts are so under rated. The wine was alright but it was a nice big pour. Our server was nice, had great recommendations, and let us take our time. We had to get dessert and went with the caramel crunch cake. Holy moly it was like the cake version of caramel corn! We were done eating and were about to pay our bill and leave as happy customers. When our server came to take away our plates she informed us that we were not allowed to bring in our own non-dairy creamer and that it was against health code and they could get In trouble if I got sick off of my shelf-stable, prepackaged creamer. I asked if they had a non-dairy option and was told no. Is it really worth upsetting a customer? If you aren't going to accommodate dietary needs, you should put that on your front door. read more

Originally a furniture shop, the owner decided to turn the kitchen section into a restaurant. Now decorated with items from the shop, the place makes you feel like you're eating at home. Beautiful decor, nice wait staff, and delicious food. My girlfriend and I both got salads. I also got to try the tasty chicken dumpling soup, very good. My salad was the Apple Harvest Salad. Apple chunks, fresh strawberries, candied walnuts, chicken, and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. MMmm almost perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the chicken. It could have either been warmed, or just maybe smaller pieces. The big long cold strips were a little unappealing once you bit into it. That's just me though. My husband and I ate here prior to covid. We liked it then. We decided to go back a few days ago since it's been a long time and they are only open for lunch. When we arrived, took a while for us to be seated. The lady/busser at the front of the restaurant didn't look very pleased when she showed us our table. It was a higher sitting table. We had our 2 year old with us, and asked for a high chair. She brought the high chair and left right away. I tried to explain to her that this table wasn't going to work with the high chair but she just walked away. My husband and I looked at each other confused. Common sense, why would you seat a family with a child in a high chair at a table where it sits higher? Our child was sitting underneath the table. Just didn't make sense to me and very unprofessional. Lucky our waitress was nice enough to move us to a different table. Food was okay but totally ruin the vibe and appetite. This is a really funny place. Don't get me wrong, the food is pretty good. The funny part is that eating in Grapevine is like dining in an Ethan Allen showroom. Which is not surprising as it is a furniture store too but it is an odd concept--restaurant and furniture store. Everything has a price tag--I mean everything--mirror in bathroom has a price tag. The chair you sit on to wait for a table has a price tag. Next to the price tag tag on the painting you are looking at is an interior designer's phone number. Truly amusing! Grapevine is so good!!! I've been there four or five times now and my go-to is the Grapevine Chicken Salad. They don't skimp on the chicken and it tastes great. I've also had the strawberry salad and I love how they load it up with fruit. Some places barely put any on there and it's so frustrating, but not at Grapevine! Restaraunt looks great inside, also great service. I went Saturday around 1045. They just stopped serving breakfast so we had to get lunch. I got the onion soup and reuben sandwich. Soup was way too cheesy and had a ton of soggy bread and just a few onions in it. The reuben was also pretty soggy. Layer after layer of meat on it with a very flavorless taste. Sauce didn't come on the sandwich, it was on the side. Im sure the breakfast is amazing, but the lunch was disappointing. read more
