On happenstance of driving through De Pierre I noticed this little cafe with very few cars off to the side. Making a mental note of where the cafe was, we returned the next morning out of curiosity. Upon walking in there are plenty of cute, seasonal decorations. It appeared clean and well taken care of, and the staff was incredibly friendly from the beginning. After being seated our server was with us shortly, bringing a smaller pot of coffee (for refills) when I was expecting a singular small cup. Our server quickly got our orders in, returning with our food maybe 10 minutes later (it wasn't too busy at all). When I say I was surprised at the sheer SIZE of the regular pancakes! (For comparison I included a picture of the "mini" pancakes) The mini pancakes they offer are roughly the size of IHOPs normal pancakes! You absolutely get a bang for your buck here! The eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking, bread was buttered but not soggy, hash browns were phenomenal, and the blueberry pancake was even good without butter or syrup (was supplied on the table, I knew I'd be bringing mine home so I didn't want to get it all soggy)! All in all, my only regret is not getting more food here! We will absolutely be coming back the next time we are in town! read more

Don't waste your time! I've never been so disappointed in Julie's. If the old owners saw this they'd be disgusted. They have chicken as a Saturday and Sunday special and we ordered it but they had to check and see if they actually had it! When I asked for all white meat and that was a no go. Also had to wait for a waitress quite a while. Ordered a salad and was not asked what type of dressing I wanted. They also now have a limit on soda. Only one free refill. Seriously!? Great attentive service. I was quickly seated and received a cup of coffee and a small refill pot on the side. Service was quick, portions were large. I chose pancakes as one of the options- delicious. This could have easily been a 5 star experience but everything lacked salt and pepper. Easy fix. Stopped in on Saturday because I was straight up craving the taco omelet they serve. I have never been to this location only the Howard one so I was happy the menu is the same. We were seated in a colder area of the building and we were the only people on that side of the building everyone else was in the sunny room across the way. Which I found strange but it was quiet at least. Our waiter was helpful and took our orders right away. The omelet was really well made and was huge with a side of hash browns AND toast. I was so full in the end that I wanted a nap! The prices are reasonable for a café and the food came out quickly. I will come back for the quality and portion sizes. read more

First timer at Julie's Cafe! Had read nice things about it, so was eager to try it out when a coworker suggested it as a breakfast interview spot. The breakfast menu is EXTENSIVE. Almost overwhelming...but this is coming from someone who prefers the lunch-side of brunch. I had a special called the Bird's Nest - a mashup of hashbrowns, veggies, sausage, and two eggs on top. The homemade jelly with the toast was superb, but i wish there would have been a smidgeon more jelly in the serving! The handful of breakfast specials were all very affordable, mostly around the $5.99 price point. For a non-breakfast person, i definitley saw.many things on the menu i would have liked to try....minus all the carbs and calories! :) read more

I took my senior class here for breakfast. All of our meals were plentiful. And the staff were quite attentive; they even reserved a room out for us when I asked if they could accommodate 10 of us. Coffee was ok, the corned beef hash was ok (but nothing to write home about), hash browns and eggs were great, and the coffee was plentiful. Plus I have a muffin top to eat later! Just a nice place to eat. I've eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Every meal has been good. I've even taken out many meals too. I like any of their egg or pancakes for breakfast. They've all been good. This is one of the few places that makes great liver and onions. And their pies are terrific! read more

With Oneida Stainless flatware (or equivalent), rather than the Cisco economy line, and Homer Laughlin China, (makers of FiestaWare) this place would easily be a five-star spot. The food was prepared with talent; I had eggs Benedict and the (real) Hollandaise sauce that was velvety smooth and unbroken. The eggs were perfectly poached. My wife had the Mediterranean omelet that she claims was a piece of heaven. Our service was rapid and our waitress was both friendly and attentive. We had a gift certificate for Julies Cafe and I am happy we did. If I didn't have a gift certificate I probably would not have gone. Our server was very slow and it wasn't even super busy (we gotthereas the lunch rush was ending). We placed our order (Club sandwhich & fries, breakfast (eggs, sasuage, hash browns and french toast), cup of soup, chocolate shake and cappuccino) and I got my shake super fast but my husband didn't get his cappuccino. 15 minutes went by and my soup came out and still no cappuccino. I said we are missing this, minute later they bring a drink out and it is a hot chocolate. The server then tried to blame the guy that brought the drink but he stated the server told him hot chocolate. We finally got the right drink. We waited another half hour for our food to come out and mind you it was not busy (we were 1 of 3 tables in this side room). The food was okay but felt like it was sitting for awhile before it was brought out. The French fries tasted like they weren't fully cooked. The chicken bouya was great. Best breakfast in the area! Never a wait and never disappointed. I dream about the homemade jam. Seriously fantastic...reminds me of my great grandmothers strawberry jam. I love this place for a good breakfast or brunch. All the Norbs approved haha. They have a decent place with helpful and friendly waiters and waitresses. Their house specials are all equal good. They also serve special breakfast for early bird in the morning ~$5 for a full plate. The waiting is usually not too long. The longest I have ever waited was 15 minutes on a Sunday morning, which is amazing for a good breakfast place in the area. I highly recommend paying a visit to this place. read more

The last couple times I was there, the mashed potatoes were cold that my fiance ordered. He ordered the BBQ chicken and got plain chicken with BBQ ribs. My meal was missing the fries. Meatloaf was dry, potatoes were super dry with no flavor, and the vegetable of the day was canned green beans that were inedible. I also made the mistake of ordering a slice of banana pie. The filling was bright orange? I couldn't figure out why it would be orange but it scared me too much to eat it. The bananas were VERY old and disgusting.
