Right away we told them the car was a BMW M4, completely dead, could not go into neutral. They confirmed the $195 quote. At the 1 hour mark (2:30 am), we hadn't heard anything, so we called. They said the driver was finishing another job and would call us shortly. At 3:00 am, we called again, frustrated because we could've paid $50 more elsewhere and been home already. They said he'd be on his way soon. We finally got a text saying the driver was en route from Santa Ana, 15 minutes away. He arrived around 3:45 am, over 2 hours after our original call. The driver loaded the car onto the flatbed with no issues. Then came the surprise, he told us the price was now $325 a $130 increase because he had to use "extra pieces" since the car couldn't go into neutral. Hector (tow truck driver) was a nice guy and knew what he was doing, just disappointed in the bait and switch. :/ We had explained the car's condition in detail when we first called and were quoted $195. Nothing changed between then and the tow. The price hike only came up after the car was already on the truck. Unprofessional from start to finish. Late by 1.5+ hours beyond the estimate, terrible communication (we had to chase them), and a shady price increase while the car was being loaded. Between DMV fees, Police fees and towing/storage you are looking at at least $400-$500. I was out and about one day when I get a text saying one of my cars was towed? The sooner you find out your car was towed the better. You only have a 4 hour window once your car is received to avoid paying their daily rate of $45.00. Face it, unless you have super fast reflexes there is no way your getting your car out within 4 hours. So now what? Country City towing will give you ZERO information about your vehicle, confirm if they have it or even tell you their location. This is why I am deducting a star. The gentleman on the phone told me the police will give me a map of where to go. All I wanted to do was plan my route, was I going here or to the closer location in Westminster. I wanted to know if they had my car. But nope, he would not say I bet your thinking, what do I need to do to get my car out? Step one to to DMV or Autoclub and get a one day pass to drive or transport your car and pay any fees that may be associated with your vehicle. Then go to the police department. Bring cash because it is cash only for their impound fee. Expect to spend at least an hour at the police department. Only then will you get a release of your vehicle. Chances are the PD will do their best to keep you as LONG as possible. Gates here close at 5:00pm. 5 minutes after it is a $60 additional fee to get your car out. Its cheaper to come back the next day. The woman here was nice. The cars are all kept out behind the gates. Just hope you never have to visit.

Armstrong accepted the device but never came to help. After waiting for a couple of hours I reached out to Armstrong to aak for an ETA. It was difficult to get someone to pick up the phone, when they finally did (after a couple of attempts) they stated that they would contact the driver and then call me back. That did NOT happen. I called them back 15 minutes later and then was told that they could not find me. After that I called Mercury roadside and they reached out to Armstrong and Wes's told that they "meant" to cancel the service call and never did. Unreliable, horrible communication and not poor service but ZERO service! Be aware people!
