Even some of the business is open around 9:30pm. There is a small restaurant called Pho Brew close at 2am. Don't take risk! Don't park your car after 9pm. Your car will be towed!Watch Out if you see the sign of Ko Towing when you park! They charge you $710 for towing fee. read more

Extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience with this towing company. We woke up this morning to our vehicle towed by this company. We were initially quoted $715 for release, which was later reduced to $600. Even after reduction, the pricing still felt excessive and unreasonable for a same-day tow where the vehicle was held for a very short period of time. Although the breakdown of fees (tow, storage, labor, and additional charges) was explained, the total cost felt inflated for the situation. The amount charged for what was essentially a same-day tow felt disproportionate and exploitative given the urgency and lack of time the vehicle was in their possession. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, we were then told their credit/debit card system was "down" and that only cash or Zelle would be accepted. This eliminated the ability to use a credit card and forced immediate payment without standard consumer protections. The combination of high, inflated-feeling fees and restricted payment options made the entire experience feel coercive and unprofessional. I strongly recommend anyone dealing with this company to confirm all fees in writing and verify acceptable payment methods in advance before going to retrieve a vehicle. read more

As a damsel in distress,I was so blessed to have been sent a true night in shining armor when Carlos showed up to tow my Corvette out of a parking structure Brea Embassy Suites. We recently had our car stolen and totaled, front passenger side wheel was completely gone and had to be towed. We used our AAA membership for the first tow with a different company and there were no issues. We scheduled our second tow with AAA and we had Brea Tow come. The driver was very rude, asked why we didn't have our car towed from the tow yard to the junk yard and told us AAA is refusing the tow because the tire is missing. I told him that AAA had our car towed before with no problem and there had been no change with the condition of the car. He then told me that I need to go to the junk yard, get a tire, put the tire on, and he'll come back and he'll tow the car. I didn't have a good feeling, so after he left us I called AAA back. AAA called a different company in the same area, KO Towing & Recovery. The tow driver Xavier called me to inform me he was about 10 mins away. I told him that the front passenger side tire was missing and it was on a drive way and would he be able to tow it? He said yes, there shouldn't be a problem, I'll be right there. When he arrived he was extremely friendly & professional and got the car on the tow bed within 15 mins no problem! It was such a relief! It was a little more work since the tire was missing, so I'm assuming that's why Brea Towing's driver refused to do it. I have USAA Roadside assistance and requested service for a flat tire at 9:41pm. This company was assigned to me and quoted a 60-90 min wait. I called them to see if there was a possibility to improve ETA as I had my 4 year old toddler with me. The lady who I spoke to said no and that's the best timeline. I waited the entire 90 min and call her and the lady again tell me that they had a priority call and will be another 30 min. After that I called USAA again and told them the situation they apologize and said they will get in contact. Now it's past midnight in a neighborhood I don't know and junkies roaming around, I get this text that they no longer will come help me. This company should be ashamed of themselves and should've of reported my insurance company that they do not have the capabilities of completing this service as soon as they got their "priority" call. I waited in vain for 2+ hours and at the end I had to find a towing company on my own that can help me get safely home. I really had high hopes for this place! Anthony N was so quick, and had such a great attitude! I couldn't believe how fast they arrived! Edit: Turns out they were unable to tow the vehicle and said a larger truck would arrive in 20 min and was just down the street. It's been 2 hours and my truck is still here! I'm honestly pretty pissed! Was hoping these guys would be better. The two gentleman I talked to were nice but it's unacceptable that a replacement has not arrived yet! Edit 2: I made a call an hour ago and they said they would finally be here in 35 min. It's now been 3 and a half hours and no one has towed my truck! Who dropped the ball? Who's fault is it that I had waited for nearly 4 hours and no one is here yet! Unacceptable! Edit 3: 5 hours later my car was finally towed. I called at 1:30pm, it's now 7pm. While I'm angry at how long it took and whoever it was that kept giving me wrong updates, I will say that the man that towed my vehicle was very nice and helpful. They just really need to be honest about how long it's going to take. I wasted a lot of gas driving back and forth to check if my truck was towed and gas is $5.50 a gallon right now in my vehicle. All of the negative reviews are accurate. It says something when so many people have the same exact experience. Battery died and my insurance roadside assistance assigned KO at 10:50pm. Initial estimate was 45-65 mins. At midnight, I called KO directly for an update. The unsympathetic guy that answered said someone would be there within 45 mins. At 1am, I called again and the same guy said it would be another 45 mins. I said that was the same time we were told, an hour ago. He cut me off and said "that's an estimate". Called the insurance back and they were surprised that we were still waiting. They offered to call KO directly and explain that we have an uncomfortable 3yr old and we just wanted to get to the hotel. She said the guy acknowledged we had just spoken and said someone should be there in 30mins. The lady at our insurance company said we could see if another company would come out, but that would be starting over. She didn't know why a company so close was taking so long. I looked up the company address and they are less than 5 miles away. At 1am with hardly any traffic, it shows an 11 min distance. At 2am, we called again and the same guy said "let me call right now". Low and behold, I receive a text alert from my insurance that a driver is on their way. So for 3 hours, KO sat on this simple request for a car jump. Oh, and the dispatchesdriver was 30mins away. The guy that finally came out was nice enough, but our pleasant 3 minute interaction was far overshadowed by everything prior to. Horrible experience, extreme lack of honesty and accountability. KO Towing was contracted by AAA Roadside Assistance because my keys got locked into my trunk. Rico came to save the day! My car key lanyard was wedged incredibly tight on the trunk door and could not even be moved from left to right. Rico assessed the problem, tried to troubleshoot, and made several attempts to get the trunk open, but unfortunately the trunk latch from within the car was not functioning properly. He even tried to access the trunk through the back seat, but trusty Honda and all their locks took this route off the table. His only way to get it out was to apply pressure to open the trunk enough for him to fish it out with a tool, and then slide it out. I truly did lose hope for a bit, but that didn't deter him at all. He seemed to enjoy the challenge! After trial and error of trying to fish for these keys in the dark (finished at almost 2am) and only being able to see the keys through a small crevice in the trunk, he was finally able to get them free! He saved me from the trouble of having to find a locksmith the next morning, and saved the groceries that were trapped inside! Rico was very knowledgeable, professional, and determined! One of their service technicians almost lost complete control of my car when they were trying to lift my car on the tow truck, the brakes gave out completely, luckily he pulled emergency brake lever on the side of the truck but there was damage the back of my car when it hit the back of the tow truck and i reported it to Triple A, eventually they contacted me after triple A contacted them multiple times, they said they'd fix the damage but then went radio silent again. I requested service via AAA and I got them by chance the first time, and by request the second time. Superior customer service. I've worked with Chito and Christian. I had a flatbed tow, and was stranded on the side of the freeway. Estimate was two hours, I followed up with dispatch personally because it was late at night and they expedited the best of their ability. Pushed the estimate to 1 hour, came in 20 MINUTES. AMAZING. Yeah, not really sure how these guys have good reviews. I'm sure they pick and choose what they want to do which makes sense. But our insurance works with them and decided to dispatch them for our tow. We were told would have someone out within the hour. Sweet no problem. I am not even there so i don't care when they come. Well 2 hours go by. Haven't heard anything. Car is still at the location on our cameras. Was told 40 minutes. Okay another hour goes by. 40 Minutes again. So we were told 40 minutes every hour for 9 hours. Well 9 hours later, they never showed up. They lied and said they drove by the pickup location and no vehicle was present when it was the only vehicle at the location, and lastly our cameras would have shown the tow truck drive by as they show every car that drives by our pickup location. So shows what kind of company this is by the dishonesty. Easily could have just said, " hey we're not going to make it, please dispatch someone else." Not hard to do and wouldn't have wasted 9 hours of insurances time, and mine. read more

My truck died so I decided to use the roadside assistance through my insurance. I got a text acknowledging my request but it didn't get assigned to KO Towing for half an hour. Once KO Towing was assigned, I was given a 60-90 minute ETA. Ouch! Ok, I had plenty of time to run to the restroom but hurried back so I wouldn't miss the tow truck. Over 2 hours had passed since the 60-90 minute ETA (2 1/2 hours since my initial request). I called the company and they advised 25 minutes. At this point, I considered canceling the request and just paying out of pocket for a different tow company. I stuck it out and waited...again...after 40 more minutes, I called again. This time they said 12 more minutes. Their timekeeping is obviously different than yours or mine. So I waited 21 more minutes after the 12 minute estimate but I'm due for another restroom break at this point! I call back and am told they will have the driver call me...never happens. I call yet again after 10 minutes and they tell me 7 minutes!!! I'm trying to do the conversion in dog years at this point! Ronnie the driver shoes up 8 minutes later. Ronnie was very friendly and courteous and he's the only reason for the second star. So I waited over 3 hours for a 60-90 minute ETA. Despite Ronnie's friendly service, I will never recommend KO Towing and Recovery. Life is too short! read more

I have a 1973 datsun 240z, I had some issues and decided no to drive it, I have insurance so I called and open a request to tow my vehicle. The called was made before 1900, it's 1 am and the driver hasn't arrived to pick up the car yet.... the big problem is that I had to leave the car stranded in SANTA ANA on the street by itself. They kept changing Eta arrived time. The insurance blames the tow company and vice-versa. Very disappointed, however it's very easy to blame the insurance for the lack of professionalism and careless actions.
