There are so many Thai restaurants in NYC but barely any (good) ones in Bedstuy. Forever thankful they opened and I can walk here whenever I crave Thai food. I've been here multiple times and every single item I've tried has been very good. Service is also always super friendly and attentive. Their lunch specials are a great value, available Mon-Fri until 3:00pm. There are several fried rice and noodle dishes for $13.95 (choice of tofu or chicken) that comes with a small salad and spring rolls. They might not have a huge variety of dishes compared to other Thai restaurants, but everything they do offer is tasty and I would recommend Ler Lers for your Thai cravings! read more

Recommended dishes: Khao Soi, Crying Tiger, Gui Chai Todd, and Si Krung Khua. I would recommend venturing outside of the typical Pad Thai/Pad See Ew/etc. and trying some of their more unique specialties. I went to this Bed-Stuy Thai spot a while back with a small group. The place was medium-sized and pretty packed, and it took a little while for us to sit down. The staff was friendly, and the food overall was excellent. None of our party went for any drinks, so no notes regarding those. In terms of food, for our group of four, we got two appetizers and three entrees, and this was more than enough. My preferred appetizer was their excellent take on Gui Chai Todd, or crispy fried chive vegetable dumpling with sweet soy sauce for $10.95. Presented with 6 large pieces, the menu lists this as a dumpling, but the texture is more mochi-like due to the chewy outside. The inside is savory and garlicky from the chives, and the soy sauce adds a little extra sweetness. Overall, this was a great example of this dish, and I would recommend it if you want to try something new. For the same price, you can also get the simpler Po Pia Peuk, or deep-fried spring rolls with taro, cabbage, carrots & glass noodles. Arriving with a similar number of pieces and a sweet Thai chili sauce, the spring rolls were piping hot and fresh. I'm not usually the biggest fan of spring rolls, but these were still good, with it not being too oily. The texture was nice, also from the mix of veggies with the glass noodles. My favorite main dish was the $27.95 Khao Soi Ped, or Chiang Mai curry noodle soup with egg noodles, crispy duck, onion, pickled mustard greens, and cilantro, topped with lime, dry chili & crispy egg noodles. It's a bit ironic, as this dish, as listed, is from a more northern city, while the website lists this spot as Bangkok-inspired, but this was excellent. The broth was outstanding, with it being plenty spicy, but not overpoweringly so, with a bit of sweetness as well. There were plenty of chewy egg noodles inside, while the duck was crispy and not too fatty. There were also enough onions and mustard greens for texture and flavor. I would heavily recommend their version. There was also an excellent version of Crying Tiger, or Suea Rong Hai, for $30.95, listed as traditional Thai grilled steak served with a spicy Thai dipping sauce. There was plenty of sliced steak, and the meat was nicely cooked without the pieces being too chewy or fatty. The Thai dipping sauce was a bit above average, though I wouldn't have minded a bit more heat and some more rice powder in it. I also liked the addition of watermelon radish to the salad. The last main was the Si Krung Khua, or tender spicy pork ribs with curry paste and kaffir lime leaves, served with ginger rice for $25.95. I haven't had this dish in many different Thai spots, with the only one in recent recollection being at the excellent Zabb PuTawn. The pork was a mixed bag, with some pieces being a bit too fatty, but some of that fattiness is to be expected with pork ribs. The curry paste had a slight kick to it, and the kaffir lime added some nice citrusy brightness. It was also excellent, though my least favorite of the mains. The food here was overall very tasty. Even from our small number of dishes ordered, there was an excellent mix of food from the specials list. I would go back. read more

Came here for a late lunch got the crab fried rice, mocktail and mango sticky rice. Had a good time overall but a few interesting experiences. I guess it was lunch time so all the staff was sitting at the bar eating Popeyes which I think makes for a poor customer experience as they all spread across the bar by customers then divvied out their Popeyes and then the staff that wasn't on break kept chatting with them and eating Popeyes which caused gaps in service. Had a wonderful time dining with Ler Lers to celebrate my wife's birthday. Reserved a couple months in advance and they were able to accommodate my group of 13. For large groups (I think more than 8? 10?), they offer a pre-fixe menu where you select in advance from some different appetizers and mains and are shared out family style (drinks not included and dessert is already preset). We were seated in their back dining room. The space was nice and modern. We had a good rotation of front of house folks helping with Sue (sp?) being our main server and Adam(?) who seemed to be the main FoH lead. They were quick and attentive throughout the evening and was impressed by everything. There was a small snafu around them putting in a wrong appetizer order, but they were able to quickly correct it without skipping a beat. Ok onto the food! We ordered mostly the popular Thai dishes just so everyone could enjoy. From the appetizers, I thought the Wings Ler Lers was the star. Super crispy, great sauce. Could clean a whole plate of them by myself. The other apps were also quite solid (again, most of the standard stuff like salad, fried chive cake etc.). From the mains, I quite liked the pad thai (I'm always a sucker for that) and the ka prao was also a heavy hitter. Everything was solid though! Both desserts were great. No real notes here. The coconut ice cream was delicious and tiramisu was nice and fluffy. We also ordered a variety of different drinks. I personally got the lychee refresher which was delicious. Overall, I'd totally recommend this place especially if you want to host a bigger group. We left full and with plenty of leftovers. Staff were great, space was nice and food was yummy. I was happy to see that they finally opened. The sign was up for so long. I was already a fan of their sister restaurant, Klom Klom so I was hoping that they would be just as delicious, it was. They have a great lunch special that goes until 4pm. For $13.95 you get an entree, thai salad (peanut dressing) and spring rolls. I opted to get the basil fried rice which came with onions, bell peppers, egg, carrot, cilantro, fresh chili and basil leaves. So good! enough for leftovers. The food came out fast. Portion size was perfect. Everything was made fresh. Right now they just have out door seating and limited seating inside. They do have a backroom that will hopefully open soon. A new spot to go to in the hood located in beautiful Bed Stuy! We booked an early dinner here for Valentine's Day via Resy. The restaurant is beautiful and has two entrances one for the main dining room and one for the bar. We were greeted and sat right away. However, as we were walking to the table the host reminded us that there was a 90 minute time limit for today's reservation. I get it because of the lovers day holiday but dang he should've let me take my coat off first or at least order! The food was amazing and we even had dessert! My partner enjoyed her cocktail. She just wish it had less ice so she can enjoy the flavors of the Mezcal more. My Thai iced tea was perfect in all ways, I could've drank three of them! On the way out, I stopped at the bathroom and I'll tell you this. They have to do something about the heating in there, as it felt like it was an outhouse. It was so cold in there. My friend and I went to Ler Lers for lunch after a workout class to try their lunch specials. I was surprised at how spacious it was because I didn't realize they had separate dining room which is really nice. It's a great place for a date night or even a group dinner. For lunch we ordered the Basil Fried Rice and the Thai Fried Rice with Chicken. The entrees also came with spring rolls and salad with a peanut dressing. The staff was very nice and helpful. They let me try the Thai Iced Tea which they make it with oat milk. I'm not the biggest fan of oat milk but it was tasty. I opted for the Lychee Aun Chan refresher drink. It was delicious and certainly refreshing with the Butterfly Pea Flower. Overall we enjoyed our food and you get a good amount considering the price. I believe we paid maybe $23 each for our food. Cute new little Thai spot in Bedstuy with great Thai food! This is on my rotation for lunch because they have great deals for lunch. I have yet to dine in, but when picking up food you can see how cute and comfy the atmosphere is. The workers are super nice and you can call or order via door dash. After years of waiting, Ler Lers has finally made it's debut on Tompkins Avenue. Boasting inspiration from the street food scene of Bangkok, this Thai spot is sure to be popular in the neighborhood. At the present, Ler Lers offers most of its seating outdoors as they await the opening of their main dining area. There's also bar seating available inside. The staff is very friendly and eager for customers to experience the menu. On my first visit, I ordered the Khao Pad Ka Prao with crispy pork. There was a bit of a wait so I was given a complimentary order of the Kai Nok wonton, which is hard boiled quail egg wrapped in a wonton with ground chicken and fried. It's a unique dish and the first time I'd ever tried quail egg. The Ka Prao, a rice dish with veggies and basil, was tasty. The crispy pork belly was definitely the star of the show. I returned with friends and ordered kanom jeeb dumplings to share and the Ka Prao Kai Dao with ground pork as an entree. The ground pork dumplings are served with a sweet and savory sauce that we couldn't get enough of. The Kai Dao was excellent. I loved the spiciness of the rice dish and the ground pork was very flavorful. I can see this being something I order regularly. They offer a lunch special that I'm very excited to go try. The curries have caught my eye, as well as an entree that's a whole fried fish. The prices are about what you'd expect for this area. Definitely recommend checking them out. read more

Came back here again and luckily it was a hot day and A and I got to sit outside. A has never been here before, but A lives very close to here and A picked this place over Peaches because A wasn't impressed with them. A got the Chicken Basil I believe and I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai. It was yummy and while we were eating, a staff came over and asked if I have eaten at other establishments like Klom Klorm or Forever Thai. I said, yes, I Forever Thai, but it's so far away and it turns out Forever Thai is also part of their restaurant group. The sitdown dining area was still not open, but hopefully you're open up soon, since it's too cold to sit outside and A brings LO that needs a highchair. So sitting at the bar is just not doable. I got to talking to him, and his name escapes me, but he mentioned to me that they're looking to open up another restaurant in Brooklyn. I begged him to think about opening the other side of Bedstuy, since it's untapped there. Stuyvesant Heights has too many - I need some good food near me. While visiting Brooklyn, I had a chance to try the Thai menu at Ler Lers. It came highly recommended by my 7 year old grandson (he is already a foodie!!). I had the crab fried rice which came topped with a soft shell crab!! It was delicious and the crab was a decent size. The whole family enjoyed the spring rolls and, of course, the pad Thai. My friend and I visited here for a quick bite and then chose two dishes under the "Thai Comfort Food" section of their menu, which I understand may not be a complete representation of their food, but they were enough for me to get a feel of what their food quality was like. Of course, I would love to return if I have the chance to do so. I ordered the Ka Prao Kai Dao, which was ground chicken stir fried with onions, chili, basil, green beans over rice and topped with a fried egg. There wasn't much flavor beyond the chicken itself, and the chicken seemed to be relying on a sauce for flavor rather than seasoning. I couldn't really taste the basil or the chili. Plus the fried egg was overcooked. My friend ordered the tom yum noodle soup, and didn't comment much on the taste. I had a little bit of it, and decided that it didn't achieve a good balance between sweetness and sourness. It had some light creamy texture but that was about it. There was a lot of pork, which normally wouldn't be a problem for a dish like this. Personally I don't eat pork and couldn't really have the soup because the fatty pork was dominating both the taste and the oily broth, which I didn't like. However, I am fully aware that this is more so a problem that only I have. I just didn't want a tom yum soup to taste like mainly fatty pork. With all that said, the Thai coffee was quite good, with a good amount of sweetness but not overwhelming. I noticed that they had no indoor tables and only countertop areas. I got the Penang curry and asked for very mild spice. Was still a little spicy for me, but very enjoyable. My partner is not a small guy, but portion size was still good for him. He took some home and had it a day later. Was still excellent. Anyone from WIlliamsburg, Clinton Hill, Stuy Heights, Bushwick etc, should visit. Sometimes we go far for great food, when there are strong options right here. Service was also attentive and prompt. This might be my new favorite Thai place in town. They don't have a reservation system yet, so we walked up on a Friday evening and were able to get a table in less than 30mins. The restaurant is tiny with only counter seating and a bunch of tables outside but beautifully done. I had the Pad See Ew with Tofu and loved it. The noodles were perfectly chewy. Stopped in during a block party to order a drink to get access to the bathroom (LOL). Asked someone at the bar about the food, and he said he'd been there 4 times in the last few weeks. So, of course after the event was over, my friends and I decided to give the food a try. Given the crowd, there was a waitlist for a table, but we didn't mind the wait. Once seated, our server, although busy (she was clearing another table), made it a point to let us know she'd be right with us.
