He has always done things on time and well. Service was excellent. Only one time they made a mistake and did not catch a problem, they apologized and accepted responsibility. Tony has always worked with me and my budget. He tried to fit me in, if at all possible-, on the day I needed. He clearly stated what needed to be done, and what could wait a little bit longer. There were never any gimmicks or double-talk. He offered straightforward answers and there was never a hidden agenda with him and his team. Now, after I have moved away, I am still "keeping" Tony and his shop as my car mechanics. I am willing to drive a bit to get their services. My car would not start and Tony offered to come by my work to check the battery. We found out it was not the battery. He got me in touch with a tow truck company that was very reasonable. This review is long overdue...Tony was referred to me by a friend who highly recommended him for his personal, honest service and unusually accommodating protocol of picking up and delivering customers' cars. I was not disappointed. Tony carried me through the last 2 years of life with my 96 BMW with the sense that I could rely on him for affordable repairs and honest advice that served me as opposed to brought him business. This is a tall order as far as I'm concerned, and, as a struggling single mom and teacher, I needed a mechanic I could truly count on. Tony was this and more! After the first repair and assessment, Tony presented me with a long, detailed list of all the things in need of repair in order of priority, and, unlikely as it sounds, advised me to do as little as possible given the make and age of my car and my financial situation. When my car's cooling system began to fail, Tony implored me to buy a new car and practically refused to fix it since he thought it would be a waste. Yes, Tony is that kind of guy. He'd rather turn business away than rip you off. Luckily, for me, I was given the chance to buy a new vehicle, and Tony saw me through this process with emergency weekend text messages advising me on how not to get ripped off at a dealership, etc. He also helped me price my BMW when I wanted to sell it and offered helpful advise at a moment's notice when someone wanted to manipulate me into selling it below market value. Tony is the kind of mechanic who is always a phone call or text message away and who can be relied on for solid, honest service.
