Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Was told it would be 60-90 mins - went to eat at a favorite coffee shop 1 block away. Less than an hour later my car was ready. Oil change was very reasonable and he told me I really didnt need the tire rotation. Zero upsell or cross sell (I'm always on the lookout for that)! I want to call out the amazing excellent service I just received from Brett at Car Care Service. It all started on Tuesday at 5 p.m. when my car lost power and made grinding sounds while accelerating onto the freeway. Once the tow truck finally arrived, I found that almost every place was closed. I kept calling around and luckily found Brett at Car Care Service. Technically, they should have been closing, but they told me to go ahead and bring the car in. I think they kept the door open long enough for me and the tow truck to get there. I was absolutely sure my transmission had failed and was terrified it was going to come with a very painful price tag. Brett took the next two days to do a full diagnostic and check everything. He identified two broken axles in my car and was able to get it fixed and back on the road within 48 hours. He was very frank and upfront about all the work and recommendations, without being pushy about any services. I was ecstatic and very happy with their work. The car is running beautifully. They were even able to look into two other issues I had asked them about. If i can give this business a million stars i would. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I did my 120k service and the one that worked on my car was the owner, Brett. He took his time explaining to me everything that he has to do for my car. That wasn't so easy because I'm just a girl that knows nothing about cars. I'm the one that said my "genie lamp" light appeared near speed tracker. He was very patient at explaining to me what are those and he also addressed some of my concerns that was not part of the service. He started at 10am and finished by 6pm. I would say he did it fast because I was expecting to come back another day and was pleasantly surprised when he said he could finish it and I don't have to come back. He also gave me a very reasonable price for everything that was done. I would say that they are very honest with their pricing and unlike other businesses, they will not sell you anything that you don't need. I came in a few months ago because my Prius wasn't starting without a jumpstart so I made an appointment with Brett for him to check what was going on. Great work, done fast, and the price was just right! Needed an oil change, and a tire rotation and gave them a call and was told to come on over. When I arrived, I was told the work wouldn't take more than an hour and a half, so I headed across the street to the coffee shop and waited as the work was being done. When I went back to pick up my car I was apologized to, and was told that it was a few minutes away from being ready as they were topping off the other fluids free of charge, which made me feel like I was the one getting over. Once it was ready they let me know they also did a full brake inspection, and checked the tire treads to ensure I was good to go until the next time I come back.I left feeling completely satisfied, knowing that we have a crew of trustworthy, reliable, and experienced mechanics that are willing to got the proverbial "extra mile" to put a smile on your face, so for that I say thank you to Brett and his staff! read more

I contacted them about replacing a damaged side mirror and they responded promptly and answered my questions. They had no issues with me providing the replacement parts and said they would be happy to only provide labor if that was all I needed. I had no problem securing an appointment and they were able to see me on time. Despite having a very full garage, the work was completed in around an hour and a half. The labor rate was also very reasonable and there were no surprise fees or charges. I called for a fuel pump replacement for my 2013 BMW 328i on the morning of Jan 20th. It was a holiday so I was unsure if they were even open. I spoke with Brett and I was told that I could bring my car in and he even gave me a quote, which was very reasonable. I love the fact that this establishment is extremely professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. I had my car towed there because it wouldn't start. What else I REALLY loved was: 1. Got a call from Brett acknowledging that mt car had arrived by tow truck. 2. They called me later that day to tell me that the part was arriving later on. 3. They called me to tell me that the part arrived late and that my car would be ready the next afternoon. On Tuesday afternoon, I got a call that my car was ready. From now on I will bring my car here. My car is humming along beautifully, thanks to Brett's work. I wanted to wait a few months after the work was done on my car to write a review because I wanted to ensure the repair had/has staying power and it does. A few months back, my car (a 2009 Scion tc) had trouble starting and I realized I depleted the engine oil. I filled it myself but the car would not start as normal. It would work sometimes and sometimes not. Then it stopped working altogether unless my husband jump started my car. Therefore I took it to Brett, who diagnosed my car as needing a new battery. Sure enough, Brett replaced my battery with a solid one for a good price and it's been starting easily without any noise or issues. I called around several mechanics and his pricing was one of the best for the battery replacement. I appreciated that Brett explained everything that he was doing on my car and was quite responsive. Since I was happy was his work, a few weeks after that I went to him for an oil and filter change (now this was on the high end at about $79). However, he topped it off with full synthetic oil (which has extra additives) as I requested, which is pricier as it would allow me to get an oil change closer to driving 5,000 additional miles (rather than at 3,000 miles with a regular oil change). Also I had him change the cabin air filter and engine air filter on that same visit. So... altogether I walked out the door of this visit with a $164 bill and some change for all parts and labor (including the oil change). I trusted his work and the quality of his parts. I'm happy with it overall. I plan return to Brett when I need future work on my car. I previously visited mechanic in San Jose, CA to replace the brake pads on my car and it made an annoying sound anytime I braked. I realized that this mechanic's cheaper price quote meant he used inferior brake pads with metal instead of the ceramic kind that allow for a noise-free stop. I had to pay another mechanic to replace my brake pads soon after that work was done in San Jose to stop the annoying screeching sound when I braked. I definitely learned my lesson, cheaper is not always the best. FYI: Check out Brett's detailed, informative response to Mary W's 3-star review on 7/7/19. It's so professional. My maintenance light went off this past week and I needed to get the B 1 2 service done for my Honda Civic. Friends have spoken highly of Brett and the guys here at Car Care Service in the past, so I messaged them on Yelp. Brett was quick to respond--super communicative, helpful and honest. Their internet was down for a few days but he was upfront about it, and provided a quote once their internet was back up. I had called around to a few other places to compare prices, and the quote he offered was by far the best. Brett and Long let me know that I could drop my car off any time between 9-11am. I finally found a hard working, honest and dedicated mechanic! This place is fantastic. I re-downloaded the yelp app just so I could write this shop and specifically Brett a great review. I had so many things going on with my car and it could have cost me at least 3 times as much but Brett went so above and beyond, ordering, installing and re-ordering parts after my car kept destroying them, troubleshooting the most confusing set of issues, patiently working through it to find the solution, and then only charging for the two parts and one little bit of the labor, when he actually had to go through at least 2 more parts sets and TONS of labor that he did not charge me for.
