Oh the ham was so good, big pieces and wonderfully textured. We each added a poached egg, because why not. Potatoes and a small fruit cup also on the plate. A maple butter for the fruit was absolutely amazing, but no way to eat all of it and I felt bad for the wastage of something so delicious. Would return yo try a grilled cheese sandwich, of which there are so many to choose from and seemed a hot item coming out of the kitchen. Service had zero flaws and was quick and efficient. Bikers everywhere and the place was packed. We got lucky and were seated immediately around 7:30 on Saturday evening. We'd biked all day so we were starving and started things off with poutine. We also added on some burgers and mac n' cheese. It's bar food well done because everything was delicious. The poutine was massive and the 3 of us devoured that dish. The entrees came with soup (I choose lentil soup) and a small mixed-greens salad with dressing. We both opted for raspberry vinaigrette, and enjoyed how light it was with just a touch of sweetness. The other two diners in our group both ate sausages and said they were superb! We wanted to hit some of their top breweries. A friend who had been last year said his favorite was Idletyme so we hit their first. We wandered through the inside areas in to the back area. That's the spot. Underneath the canopy of trees there sits a long wooden bar. The vibe that day was ideal with the sunlight cutting through the leaves. I got their pilsner and it was the best beer of the trip. An excellent subtle tasty golden beverage. We moved on shortly after to the next spot but I had to agree that Idletyme was the spot. I plan to make it back to Stowe again soon, and Idletyme will be one of my first stops.

The maple lemonade is great - it leans harder on the tart side and there are sweeter options around (Cliff House) but I love a lemonade that tastes... lemony. Pineapple cherry punch was also a hit - but that's secondhand hearsay, unlike my direct opinion on the chimichurri - which I would drink if I could. Definitely check this place out.
