Had a low tire alert go off on one of my one year old tires that had four days ago been put on after winter tires were rotated off. Drove to 3rd street Bend OR Les Schwab. After 90minutes, was given options to replace the tire that wasn't fixable. I chose replacing only the damaged tire. These are new tires! They said it would be quick since the tire was already off and cost would be $300. After a long hour, they were ready to check me out. They replaced both rear tires and charged me $600. Id been there nearly three hours, at the end of a long day. I didn't have the energy or documentation to appeal. Les Schwab scammed me. They beat me down, did not follow my instructions, did not have me sign anything indicating my instructions, so basically up charged me. I will not be going back to the 3rd street Les Schwab. For future work at other locations, I'll ask for a written work order printout. I feel scammed. Maybe cause I'm a woman? Are tire techs on commission? read more

I went to Les Schwab to fix a very slow leak. After waiting for over an hour and a half they finally got to the car. The employee returned stating that there was a small nail in the side wall and couldn't be patched. I needed to replace all four tires as what I had didn't match theirs. I asked to see for myself the puncture. It was NOT in the side wall. The employee stated that they have to scuff the area that was close to the side wall and it would compromise the integrity of the side wall. Now with the nail removed the leak was no longer small. I went elsewhere and got fixed up no problem. They tried to up sell four tires for over $850 when a simple patch would suffice. Not the Les Schwab it used to be. You have now lost any business that I would have sent your way. No wonder all the layoffs. read more

They looked at the suspension and the brakes and the tires and everything ended up rotating the tires free of charge. I got a flat tire while on vacation from Portland. I stopped in as soon as they opened the next day and they had the tire patched within half an hour. The cherry on top was after patching the tire they packed away the spare and tool kit nicely instead of just leaving it in the back. Very professional and great work. read more

Grateful to Les Schwab and happy with tires. However, We took our Toyota RAV4 to Les Schwab on April 23, 2024 to have the seasonal change of tires done. We received this information in our Safety Status Check Report: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BRAKES Visual Inspection of Front Brakes ! (yellow zone with exclamation) NOTES: 4mm front 5-6mm rear -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was after having the brakes rebuilt and brake pads replaced in May 2022, approximately 10,000 miles ago. We were given a quote to have the brake pads and rotors replaced because, it was explained to us, "worst case scenario" should be considered and if we were to continue driving home and there was "metal to metal" contact, then expect failure of brakes. Verbally, and in writing, the front brake pads had 4mm remaining. Next stop was to the local Toyota dealer where this vehicle was purchased, and inspection there revealed that there were 8mm remaining on the front brake pads, that there was minimal wear on the rotors and that we could expect at least 20,000 miles before expecting any significant wear on the brake pads. We were also told the rotors could be resurfaced but that there was absolutely no reason to replace or repair any brake components. read more

Disappointing and Dangerous Service I paid a lot of money to have all four brakes and rotors replaced at Les Schwab, and it did not end well. When I picked up my car, I was told that the new brakes would feel "spongy" for a while. A few days later, I noticed a serious issue while driving downhill--my brakes weren't working properly and wouldn't bring the car to a complete stop. I ended up blowing through a roundabout, and luckily, no one was around. It could have been a very dangerous situation. My dad came to help and noticed that the brake fluid was leaking. We realized that something under the car hadn't been tightened properly after the brake replacement. So over the weekend, the brake fluid leaked out and the brakes were not working well. I returned the car to Les Schwab for them to fix the issue, and while they claimed to have addressed the leak, there was no sense of urgency, apology, or concern from them. This was reckless negligence on their part, and I cannot trust them with my car after this experience. I won't be returning, and I urge others to be cautious. A situation that could've been easily avoided ended up putting my safety, and potentially others, at risk. read more

We had a shredded tire due to an encounter with a curb. We didn't have the right lug wrench to put the spare on. Les Schwab to the rescue! An employee came to the house, put the spare on and took the ruined tire and rim to Les Schwab South to put on a new tire. (We are a one car family, no way to drive car in for repair.) I was on a 2300 mile road trip and discovered that the previous owner of my truck had apparently rounded the majority of the lug nuts, and also stripped a few of them. I was on a a fixed itinerary so it was important to get the problem fixed quickly. We were driving back from camping and our steering was acting up and out truck was pulling to the left. Les Schwab had TWO employees drive our truck, visually inspect our tires, and sent us on our way with paperwork claiming they did a SAFETY inspection of our tires and it "was probably the worn roads." After we left Les Schwab, not two miles down the road, our back wheel FELL OFF, causing extensive damage to the body of our truck and leaving us stranded on a busy hwy with a 4 and 6 year old. We had to fuss with a rental car, towing and figuring out a plan to get our family to a safe location and getting our truck fixed. While Les Schwab offered to replace the wheel and fix the rotor and a few other things, they did not take ownership of the fact they sent us on the road without checking our tires properly. We are very lucky that nobody was hurt or worse. Terrible customer service from all but the assistant manager who, at least, tried to make it right, (although really probably trying to avoid a lawsuit). I was visiting from WA for a snowboarding trip, my car was caked in dirt, salt from the snowy roads and more. I was persistent to take my car in for a wash, and brought it to surf thru express car wash just up the street. The moment we got into the car wash when my tires were in the tracks, I felt my car jerk, heard a pop! when we left, my tire pressure light came on and I had a flat. We were stressing and needed to replace whatever it was right away! We pulled up to this location and they were just closing up shop. Unfortunately didn't get the guys name but he saw how stressed we were and took a look, said that the tracks snapped my tire/air valve. guy said he could replace it without charge. Dropped off car for tire change at 11am, got a call (that the car was done) at 6:01pm, asked when they closed: 6pm, said we could be there in 15 minutes, employee said okay. Got there and it was closed. Why call us after closing and then insinuate that we could pick up our car? These people are so very customer service oriented. They fixed my trailer tires which were improperly installed by Walmart (wrong type of valves that caused leaks). Wish I could give negative stars. This place is HORRIBLE!!!! I called just to bleed my brakes. The guy told me my problem might be worse than that and to bring it in for a brake inspection. I got a flat back in October and was sold 2 tires and everything with that transaction was great. A few months later I tried to get 2 new tires because I had another flat. Was told I would need to buy 4 tires because my tires are a strange size. When I said I wasn't going to do that I was told I was only going to be sold one because the mechanic couldn't find another available. I tried to tell him that I didn't want to wait for the other tire to fail to get another one, he said that when that time came he would call around and find me a tire. I called the Hunnel location and was able to get someone to find me 2 tires but he was very unapologetic about the whole situation and was also charging me $100 more than I was charged for the last set of tires. Went to discount tires and was able to get my needs met at a fraction of the price. I highly recommend you don't go to Les Schwab. read more

Les Schwab has horrible customer service! I bought Les Schwab tires (installed at Les Schwab) and my car developed a vibration at speed. I called the store for weeks to get in to have them balanced. I was told they had no appointments and too busy to see me unless I dropped my car all day with them. Today I called again and was told they could get to it in an hour or two. I waited for 2 1/2 hours, I asked if it was done and was told " we should be able to get to it in 1 1/2 more hours" I left the store. What good is buying Les Schwab tires if they won't service them! read more

We travel by Rv quite a bit it's important that we continually inspect our tires and maintain proper air pressure. A blowout on our rig will cost between three to $4000 in damage. We've been down that road before.It is difficult for us to do this work. Les Schwab has been fabulous at helping us. They offered to inspect our tires and help keep our tires properly inflated. Ever since Les passed away this place has gone downhill. I have Schwab tires and had a leak in a tire. When i called for them to come fix it the guy said they would have to charge me. After a brief argument he agreed. A battery I bought went completely dead after 8 months. They replaced it. That in died 14 months later. They would not honor the warranty so I left the battery on the counter to go buy a different, better product. Do not be decieved... Les Schwab is not the same company it was a few years ago. You'll find better service and products at local stores who do not carry cheap tires or batteries made in China. Their warranties are not what they used to be. We were coming North from Tucson AZ when we noticed our rear tires were low on air. We have a 42 ft Winnebago Tour. We callJim about an 1 1/2 out and told him our need for air. When we arrive, Jim came running out and directed us. He then proceeded to fill all 6 back tires. When he was finished, he said, "your all set". I said what do we owe you? He said, "no charge". Had my truck towed over and Les Schwab got it right in and mounted a full set of tires in about an hour. On a Saturday morning. With no appointment. Somehow. When I picked it up, the lobby was pretty packed. It didn't matter. I walked in, made payment, and was driving off into the sunset within 5 minutes. Couldn't be happier. This place is great! Quick, efficient service. They have taken the time to explain things to me and have always given me good advise. Today's 5 star rating is the result of picking up a rock on one of our gravel roads. It was lodged in the caliper and was making quite the racket. I went in and they promptly said they could take care of it. Ben quickly popped off the tire and dislodged the rock. And would you believe it? No charge! I figured they'd charge a reasonable amount for the rotation and I'd be on my way. They rotated the tires for free even though I did not buy them there.
