Walked out of Hunnell Schwab after a 10am appointment for seasonal changeover led to a wait of 3:15 hours with my car still in parking area. The lady when I checked in at 9:20 gave me completely wrong information about my wait time. I have been a devoted Les S. customer for over 35 years. This morning I had a nail in one of my tires. I had an extra 45 minutes before work so I thought I would swing by Les S. on my way to work since I go right by them. I pulled in and saw only about 3 cars in the parking lot. I thought yes it will be pretty quick. I waited and waited for them to get my car in the shop. When they did I started looking out the window to the shop. I was really surprised when saw nobody hurrying. All of the employees were telling jokes and just walking around with no hurry in their actions. After 1 1/2 hours I got my car back with the tire fixed. They never checked the air in any of my other tires. At one time the employee that was fixing my tire stopped and went to go and get a soda to drink. Les Schwab would be rolling over in his grave!!! read more

I have a 2022 Tesla Y. I needed my tires rotated. I made an appointment about a month ago. I waited about 20 min. Was given a printout of all the checkpoints that were done. I also requested a price point for a set of new tires when I need them down the road. I was pleasantly surprised that I was not charged for the rotation. That is smart business. I will seriously consider buying my next set of tires from Les Schwab. The staff was great. Everyone was informative and courteous. read more

Got "trapped" in Bend by a snowstorm a few weeks ago. Although the storm was not in any of the 10 day forecasts, it came and dumped a good amount of snow and cold temperatures across the Cascades. I was driving a rental car that did not have snow tires or chains on board. I called Les Schwab's Hunnell Rd. store and was assisted over the phone by an exceptional employee named Theresa. She guided me through selecting my best tire safety adjunct option; because of my apprehension towards driving in the icy conditions even offered to drop the items by the front desk of the hotel where I was staying during a business errand. I had to double up on the item I ordered a day later and before leaving town dropped by the store to pick it up. As I pulled into the parking lot, an employee walked out to my car to hand me the items and my invoice at my car. Simply outstanding customer service from this Les Schwab store and the employees there!! read more

Got a quote for tires, and made an appointment to have them installed. At the date of the appointment, they didn't even have the tires in stock. Had to have them brought from Prineville, adding an extra hour to my appointment. Install wasn't even started until I'd been there an additional hour. And when they were done, no one even came to get me. So weird. Shouldn't having tires for an appointment be their #1 priority? So confused since I've heard good things about their service. No one even took time to communicate with me, and not so much as a sorry for the inconvenience. Will try another location next time. read more

Bummer I feel like les Schwabs culture has gone from honest, to telling the customer they're wrong and not listening. Never giving them my business again. Just got charged $265 for a hub assembly that costs under $100 ANYWHERE you look. So when I asked about their part cost I was told that they use a better part than OEM....total bull. Nothing more annoying than getting obviously way overcharged and when you ask a question your faced with a bullet dodging salesmen that was hired to bat away the upset customers. Les Schwab Tire Center - Tires Near Me - Bend, Oregon

My husband and I are traveling through Oregon on our way back to Washington from Colorado. We had to detour because of the huge pile up on 84 and then today, had an accident of our own on highway 20. Our truck jackknifed with our travel trailer. The trailer was totaled but our truck was okay except for some rocks that got lodged between a rim and the tire. We drove to this Les Schwab to get it fixed and they were absolutely amazing. They got is in and out so quickly. They were so kind and even let us sit in their lobby with our three goofy dogs. All of this, and then they didn't even charge us for getting the rocks out. They also took the other back tire off just to check it. We have had quite the day and are so grateful for the kindness that was shown today. You guys rock. read more

I have NEVER ONCE had a pleasant experience at ANY of the Les Schwab locations in Redmond or Bend. I assume they must have the same regional manager, who should be ashamed to disrespect the Schwab name the way that he does. I have had some very wild experiences like being charged for brakes that I didn't need for another 15,000 miles probably (Hunnell Rd.), being over quoted for extra parts (confirmed by other LS employees), and being told that "my vehicle came in like that" after parts were lost (and later found) in the service bay (former Franklin Ave.). I had to argue with the shift lead at the former Franklin Ave. in order for them to admit that my vehicle was not missing a hubcap when it came in and he threatened to check the cameras, which I agreed would be a good idea. The Redmond location has even returned my car to me with a lug nut missing and claimed "it came in with one missing". The only reason that I have continued to come back is because I have had nearly 20 years worth of good experiences at other locations. Now that I live in Central Oregon, I would STRONGLY WARN AGAINST ANYONE GOING TO LES SCHWAB for anything really. I tried to think of a service to list that hasn't been screwed up by these guys but I honestly can't think of anything. They have screwed up alignments, balancing, ball joints, brakes. Les Schwab also sees it as acceptable to leave your vehicle unlocked while sitting in their back lot completely unattended-very cool. After I opened my unlocked car, I saw that my passenger seat was wet because they left the window half way down, and to polish it all off, they left massive streaks of grease all over my interior. My most recent visit was to address work that they did improperly the first time-the only reason I would ever return to them-and they told me that nothing was wrong. Seriously?? I can SEE the problem and you're telling me that your technicians can't identify there even being an issue? Wild. Taking your car here is like asking lying hobos and children to fix your rig. read more

The low tire pressure light went off in our car and we saw that we'd driven over a nail. We stopped at Les Schwab on a busy Saturday afternoon. The service team said they would see if they could repair the tire and would replace if they weren't able to fix it, and that it would be ready in an hour. They had it ready in about 45 minutes and were able to repair the tire without needing a replacement. We were pleasantly shocked that they took care of the repair at no charge as a courtesy. We'll definitely be buying our next set of tires here when we need them! read more

I called up to purchase some tires and I was told they were going to be special order. I waited about a week for a phone call back which never came. I got tires put on earlier this year. They told me something was loose in the back and I might need to replace it. It would be $500 ish to replace. I took it to Toyota and asked them to look at it. They told me my back right tire just needed to be re balanced and nothing was wrong with my car. They are running a scam at this location. I will never be back. Run. read more

Absolutely superb service today when I was faced with an unexpected tire issue. When I found myself with a flat tire while out running errands and got a 2 hour wait estimate from Triple A, I thought I would be stuck all day! As if on cue, Dustin approached and offered his assistance. I learned that Dustin is a service tech at this Schwabs location! What luck to run into him! Dustin was absolutely phenomenal, pausing his day off from work to help. After changing my tire, Dustin followed me to make sure my spare was okay. I went straight to the north Bend Schwabs, where I was again treated with the same fantastic service. The technician quickly solved the issue with my tire and made sure to check all the others. They had me in and out in less than an hour. I am beyond thankful for Dustin's swift offer to help and his kindness and professionalism in ensuring I got to Les Schwab okay. Incredibly impressed with the wonderful men that helped me today; the absolute epitome of what Les Schwab is all about! I live in Redmond and typically use that location's services, though the treatment I had today at the Hunnell location showed me that it will be absolutely worth the drive to see them! These guys literally saved our vacation. 3 days into our trip our rear tire took a nail and nearly blew out. And it was 5pm with most places closing soon and us from 500 miles away not knowing anywhere to go. Turned out we were close to them. Called em up and they said they would get us back on the road, I put the spare on, and hobbled to the store. Not only did they fix us up they had a used tire that matched ours and had same tread wear so we didn't need to buy all new tires like usually is needed with outbacks. To recap lost a tire 500 miles from home, and within 2 hours they had us back on the road for a grand total of $62.00. And the employees were so nice and helpful from the lady on the phone/counter to the mechanics in the shop. Turned a nightmare situation that coulda ruined our trip and or cost us $600+ into a cheap 2 hour detour! read more

I always love going to Les Schwab. Ever since I was a kid, I always loved their business model. They always have hard working staff and a cool place to wait while work is being done to your vehicle. Yesterday, my wife and I went in because her factory tires needed to be replaced and she wanted new wheels. Nick greeted us when we came into the store and asked if he could help us find anything. We told him we were just browsing and he let us know to ask if we needed help. That's something I also love about this business; they aren't trying to sell you stuff unless you ask them and aren't forceful about sales in any way, so you never feel pressured. After realizing we didn't know what we were looking for exactly, we went back and asked Nick to put together some pricing packages for us. He spent a good amount of time to find out exactly what we needed and put together some options for us. He had good knowledge about the products and advised us on what we should look at. Here's the best part. I told him we were going to go home and talk about our options and look around at other places and go from there. He responded with great, give us a call if you have any questions and we'll be here if you need us. We went home, looked at some websites and figured our best option was to go with one of the packages that Nick put together for us. I called him around 4:30 PM and said that I knew it was late, but asked if there was any way they could do it all that day. Without hesitation, he said to bring in the pickup and they'd have it done in an hour. We are extremely satisfied with the wheels and tires and the customer service we received from this store, and kudos to Nick for doing an awesome job! read more

The latest tag line in advertising is "Doing the Right Thing" well, only if it doesn't cost Les any money. (and I know Les died a few years ago) Have had some snow chains in our garage for years. Maybe 10 years. They fit a car we sold several years ago. Won't fit any of our cars now. So I take them in and ask for a refund (nicely). They are never used and the bag is pristine. There were several other bags of chains behind the counter. Could not tell which is mine & which is theirs. Chad does some digging and can't find a receipt in the system. There is no way I have one. But i figure Doing the right thing might be a core value since it is heavily advertised. Nope. No receipt, no refund. I even offered half price so they could make a small amount of money off them (again). Chad did suggest Craigslist. I just left them behind the counter. After over 20 years of loyalty I will NEVER give them another dime! I sent my wife in with a slow leak on a tractor tire. They told her the tire and rim need to be replaced. As usual they can only replace something not fix the firggin' leak. I told her to take it back home. Les Schwab gave her back the tire and rim with the stem valve ripped off and the tire no longer on the rim. YOU JERKS!! Now I have to go find a stem and figure out how to put it back on the rim. Went in to this branch and paid for four new tires. At no time did they ask me if I wanted the tires siped (sliced). Got home and noticed that they had charged me $52 extra for doing this. The staff at the LS Hunnel Toad store were outstanding from the time I called until we replaced all 4 tires. Their pricing was attractive in spite of the fact we were desperate. Nice people that kept us informed throughout the process. The young lady at the front desk went out of her way to accommodate us. Wow so since my other review i have found out other things about this branch of this company. Mainly that they will lie to you and try and get you to buy things or get things fixed for your car . things that you do not need. After some guy named josh attempted to rip me off for wheal bearings i called the other les schwab to get an estimate, $277 much cheaper (over $50 less) than what this branch offered me. I decided to hold off on the repairs (since it was les schwab a year ago that told me i needed the work in the first place.) So i took my truck to my uncle who was a mechanic in vietnam, he took a quick look at my car and told me the bearings were absolutely fine. Interesting. Moral of this story, les schwab will lie to you to get you in for work, so always get a second opinion on your car. read more

Today's experience has most likely ENDED MY RELATIONSHIP with your company. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by both an employee called Josh and his general manager. First I was called a "liar" and hung up on by "Josh" and then his general manager refused to apologize. I have spent several thousand dollars at the three less Schwab centers here in Deschutes county over the last 7 years... I don't care what the circumstances are this should NEVER have happened and I do expect a written apology at the very least.
