Usually get pretty good service here but this day I dropped off a tractor tire that needed a new inner tube. I came back the next day haven't received no phone call and anticipated just picking it up without any issues. It wasn't until I arrived that they told me the hole in the tire was too big to just put a tube in. I asked them to show me because the leak was through a small pin hole not a large hole. Eventually, they pointed out a gouge on the low part of the tread face. I ended up going to discount tires and they were able to put a tube in without any issues. On a sidenote, this was the third inner-tube. I had to replace on this tractor and all three had been done by Les Schwab prior. All three of those tubes failed in the same spot where the valve attaches to the tube. read more

The younger employees are helpful but then you get the SC@M at the front counter that think if you are above a certain age you deserve to get ripped off. I had to check myself before unleashing a salvo of righteous indignation. I really detest being disrespected by unintelligent counter persons. If you are a senior citizen avoid Les Schwab like the plague, You will be fleeced of you hard earned money. I would suggest discount tire center or Costco. read more

We pulled in on a Friday afternoon at 3:00PM, while in route to Corvallis. RV was making a lot of noise when braking. Turns out we needed a complete brake job on the front end. Luckily, we picked a Les Schwab where the employees still ran from job to job. I didn't think they still did that! I'm sure squeezing in a brake job on a late Friday afternoon was the last thing they wanted to do, but they were accommodating and got us in and out, and back on the road as quickly as possible and with the best attitude. Dropped of car for 4way alignment, called ahead for appointment if needed. told plenty of time if i dropped off. Dropped off and walked home, expected it done before close. Get a call 20 min before close from the alignment tech saying he doesn't have time or not skilled enough to work on it. Catch a ride to shop and get keys, on the drive home noticed the steering wheel where you hand lays has a gouged 4" in on it. Flip a B and talk to the store manager to the extend "Sucks to be you", not a "I have a guy that can repair or estimate that for a repair". Oregon law is "you touch it last, you own it" My whole day without LES SCHAWB of CLACKAMAS in it; would've improved the outcome of my day. My wife brought in her Mazda CX-5 one evening in 2020 because the TPMS light was on. Les Schwab determined it was a nail lodged in one of the tires and offered to patch it up for free. Great! Amazing service that you'd expect out of Les Schwab. Fast forward a year later and we went to Costco to rotate the vehicles tires and they discovered the patch was done near the side wall of the tire which could lead to a tire blowout at highway speeds. This serves as a reminder to anybody to double check and even triple check when offered a free service from Les Schwab or any other company. Especially when it can have fatal consequences. We have decided as a family that we will not be bringing our vehicles to Les Schwab any further and have opted to either Discount Tire or Costco. read more

I went to a different location for a brake inspection not even 48 hours after my brake inspection a boat comes loose out of my caliber And causing damage to my Rim and my caliber come to this location to see what's going on and I am met with a rude hostile manager I guess the lesson is don't come to have a brake inspection cause it is worthless as they will not stand behind anything it was like pulling teeth trying to get a bolt from them to have it replaced. And they acted like they were doing me a favor by putting in the boat which all bolt should have been inspected with my brake inspection according to the website read more

My son, who has five children bought a used Tahoe. He took it to Les Swab as truck needed tires but more importantly he needed a front end inspection due to severe wobbling in the front end. He specifically asked for then to check ball bearings, cv and u joints. They told him he needed new tires but the inspection showed no other serious damage or needed repairs. He was concerned but thought he could trust what they said so he continued to drive or with his kids in car. He continued to worry about the safety so he took it to a shop where he learned cvs, ujoints and bearing were so bad that it was really dangerous to drive. A week in shop and 2800.00 later truck is fixed. We stopped by Les Swab to talk to manager about bogus inspection with the shop papers in hand to show them. We talked to Steve. He stated he stood by the inspection, and his employee. He stated we had no proof that the damage was real. We had the shop documentation. We needed tires to be put on truck now that the work was done. We were quoted an hour and 30. We returned to shop at that time. It was still in the stall, no tires on it. No employee working on it. Yet other cars that came after us we activity being worked on. We waited 25 more minutes. I went in to check on an eta. Steve was short and said we are working on it. Customer service has flown the coop at this establishment. We will NEVER go to a Les Swab again. read more

All of the previous things I've written more or less hold true but my last experience with this store was a bit of an eye opener and, in my mind, called for an update. I went into the store telling them outright that I wanted pricing for new struts all the way and a 4 wheel alignment, given that the car had its OEM struts. The car was riding fine but it was just time, and it about matched the mileage at which I replaced the first set of struts on my previous car. However, the employee who was checking out the car was a little more overzealous. It was later in the afternoon and I told him I didn't have time for him to start pulling off the wheels and all that. I don't remember if he grabbed the tops of the tires, spun them, or what, but he then added that the front wheel bearing hubs were "definitely" worn. Definitely? Both of them? At this point, I was not too happy with him or his wording. I have been driving for quite a while and I've replaced front wheel bearing (hubs) on both front wheel drive cars and rear wheel drive cars, with most of the cars manufactured by GM. What the impending decline in bearings have had in common is what I call the "helicopter" sound. When they are beginning to get worn, the "helicopter" sounds like it's farther away. As they become more worn, the "helicopter" sounds like it's closer and closer. I was getting none of that sort of noise, nor any vibration. A bad wheel bearing needs to be attended to ... and much sooner than later. Also, no other outfit that has since worked on the car has noted the front wheel bearings. I told him to write up an estimate for the struts and the alignment. It was in line with what I was expecting ... and fair. Since he mentioned the wheel bearings, I told him what I thought (and had experienced as described above) and he got slightly defensive. I asked him to just tell me parenthetically what each bearing hub would cost because I was now somewhat curious. It was a little more than I thought it would be and, before he even gave me the unit cost, he added that they had an ABS ring on them. (ABS has been sort of a given on cars for about a decade.) I checked the price on-line against an retail auto store price and the difference was more than expected. In short, I don't think it was so much the Les Schwab entity as it was this individual's style and how it meshed with mine. Here, I was the one telling him I was planning to replace all the struts ... and asking for the price for THAT service job. As companies grow and expand, their "old school" values might wear a little thin. I've experienced this quite a bit. This experience wasn't as Les Schwab as it should have been. "Sales-y" (it should be a word, since friends and I have used it often over the years) and their motto "our business is earning your trust" aren't really in synch with each other. However, other adjacent experiences, either at this or at other stores, have remained in line with the "old school" Les Schwab we've all known for a long time. In short, I'm going to say that, for the most part, they are a decent outfit and generally do good work, but they're not quite as stellar as they used to be as time has marched on. read more

I took my truck in for an alignment, and they did just that - or so I thought. They gave me a readout, all the numbers looked okay Fast forward 2 weeks, now my front tires are showing 'toe in' wear, and are now ruined I took my truck back in, and they told me 'I'm not sure why we aligned this in the first place, and refused to give me options or a price to have them fix the issues they saw I took my truck to another alignment shop, they were happy to get these issues fixed and align my truck correctly This location did the bare minimum of an alignment, did not adjust the track bar, or even consider the thrust angle being an issue. Had a flat tire that would not hold enough air to get me back home. Called over to the Les Schwab on Hwy 212 and Steve told me to come on over. I made it there and before I could get my seat belt off a gentleman was at my door asking how he could help. I showed him the tire, he said no problem. Went inside, handed my keys to Steve and before I knew it the car was back and done!! There was a nail in the tire which they patched for no charge along with no charge for the time. This location is always fast and friendly, they have a huge waiting area with complimentary coffee and popcorn if that's not your thing they have a vending machine. Free WiFi and a tv so if you can't have your vehicle dropped off there's plenty to entertain yourself with while you wait. Terrible service!!! I have never dealt with the rudest manager ever before!!! Not only did his place made a mistake but he had nerves to yell at me as it was my fault for his guys missing the alignment service. I called the week before I brought my car in and clearly requested the alignment to be done in addition to front wheel bearing replacement. When I brought in the car I spoke to the same manager and confirmed to have alignment done. A couple hours later I receive a call from them that my car was done. When I came in to pick it up they said they didn't do the alignment and made me wait 15 minutes to get it done, which makes me wonder if it was even done? I was beyond upset and requested a refund or some type of discount applied to my account. The manager refused and was the rudest unprofessional manager i have ever dealt with and had no understanding whatsoever. Not only did he raise his voice at me in front of other customers but he never apologized and made it seem as it was my fault for his guys missing the service. He said in a rude voice that I can't get the service for free. I told him I was going to leave a negative review and will never come back to Les Schwab for service again but he could care less. If I could give zero stars I would! I will never go back to Les Schwab for service AGAIN! Save yourself a headache and look for service elsewhere! read more

Just wanted to give a shout out for the incredible service I received this morning from Jose. My tire pressure alert warning started chiming as I was driving from Oregon City to Sandy. I was so grateful to see Les Schwab right on the corner and when I pulled in I expected a long wait. Instead Jose greeted me immediately and directed me to where I could pull in to have my pressure checked. He quickly and efficiently filled my tires and I was done in less than 5 min and back on the road. I have been to this les schwab twice now due to the convenience of it being right next to my work. Both times I was helped quickly and by a very friendly person. Today I came in because I unexpectedly went out to my car on my lunch to a flat tire. I had been overdue on getting new tires anyway so I figured nows the time. I was given three options with details on each. I picked the one that fit my situation and was told it would be about 1.5 hours. I called and talked to Steve and was in tears because so far the experience with this has been a disaster. I've never been in this situation and need a little extra help. Steve assured me I would get the help I need if I came in. When I got there Jose was the first one available told him I had talked to Steve and he said no problem we will make sure they fit and I have a practice tire for us to play with. DO NOT EVER GET YOUR BRAKES DONE AT LES SCHWAB. I got my tires swapped out for a reasonable price, but I was told that my brakes would need servicing soon, and that they could do that "for $300". Now, being the daughter of a gear head who has done my brakes ALL my life, with no issues whatsoever, I said "isn't that a little excessive?" I was told "we replace the rotors and calipers as well, because when you go to bleed the brake lines, if you compress the calipers wrong you could damage them so we just replace everything to be safe." For one, you can buy a tool at HARBOR FREIGHT, ffs, to compress calipers. For two, my dad (and everyone else I know who is mechanically inclined) has used screwdrivers, vise grips, and clamps to compress calipers with no problems whatsoever. For three, if something does go wrong, calipers can be rebuilt or repaired. It's rare that calipers ever need to be replaced in the life of a car unless you do something seriously f*****d up to them. For four, you'd think that trained professionals would be able to manage to change brake pads. They're taking advantage of uninformed car owners. This "thanks for not selling me stuff I don't need" commercial is complete bullshit. Go to a shop that's not going to charge you your first born. OR better yet, buy some damn brake pads and watch any of the million videos by industry professionals on YouTube and do it yourself. It ain't hard. NEVER GOING BACK TO LES SCHWAB, FOR ANYTHING. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED. read more

He made sure to follow through on my issue from start to finish to ensure the transaction went as smoothly as possible. I went there last night to have my tires siped (slits in the tread to get better traction in snow). The staff was warm and welcoming, efficient, and very helpful with my intelligent and some not so intelligent questions about tires and traction in snow. Les Schwab is the Nordstrom of tire shops, and they have maintained high levels of service in an industry that is mired with unprofessional people, second-rate service, and questionable business practices. I'm not sure if their prices on tires and accessories are the best in town, but then again I don't really shop for the cheapest deal. What I can say is that their service and product knowlegde is first class, their staff professional and well dressed, and their shop clean. They know their products well, and are qualified to give you advice on something as importannt as your vehicle's traction in Pacific NW driving conditions without trying to upsell you on things that you don't need. They also offer free wifi, popcorn and coffee in the waiting area. read more

Spencer was the person that helped me out and he had probably the best costumer service I have had at any tire store or let alone automotive store. They found two nails in my tire, removed them along with a repair of the tire and I was on my way in less than 1 1/2 hours on a busy Monday morning...and all done with no charge. This is the worst tire center in Oregon. I have so much I could write here but it's so much, you'll just have to wait for my book to come out! I used Discount Tire (American Tire company) but switched to Schwab because it's way closer. Bought 3 sets from them and every single time was major issues. You probably wouldn't believe me if I Laid them all out it was so bad. Finally, this 4th set which is on me for even still trying to go there, took 3 hours and they still didn't get on cuz they only had 3. Even after telling them I'd get tires on if they can get don't straight away as I need my car in 2 hours (plenty of time). In the end, I picked up car 40 minutes later than I said I needed it and had to get someone else to pick up kids. Called discount tire and they ordered in and the same Continental tire 245/40ZR18 was $309 less installed. Please look around and don't just expect Les Schwab to be fair with you. They're rip offs and also not nice people either. Do yourself a favor and look around. Like I said, wait for my book about how Les Schwab is horrible and why NOT to go there. I rarely write reviews unless really bad things happen on more than one visit. If you still go there after reading this, that's on you. read more

I usually get my snow tires taken off at Les Schwab during spring break, but this year, I had a car accident and could not put my tires (which were in my garage) in my car. Since I was injured from the car accident and could not put my tires in the car for the workers at Les Schwab to change, I called and one of the workers there came to my house and put my tires in my car for me! Kenny was extremely patient with me researching options but When I priced out these options, I decided to just out a pair of the barely used tires on my existing wheels...didn't think the lipstick on the older truck was worth it. So long story short...Kenny worked and got me a great deal, but I made the cheap selection...and he didn't seem bothered at all that all I got was a set of used After driving a few weeks on my new 'used' tires, I envied all the black wheels on the road. I called Kenny back up and he worked out a trade in on my used tires and gave me a heck of a deal on new black rhino 20" wheels. He got the wheels, parts for the lift, the next day. This LesSchwab told me I needed a alignment on my bmw 3 series. I paid for the alignment shortly after the car started drifting to the left again. I went back to them and was told you need a special alignment kit from BMW. I asked why they hadn't brought this up the first time they did the alignment. They avoided the question and shifted blame to me. They refused to credit any of the money from the first useless alignment towards the second one. The first mech. shop I called said it was too late to look at it that day. Because the three area hotels were booked up I was facing sleeping in my car for the night.
