My Nissan picked up a wobble on the two front tires, whenever I accelerated to 50 MPH, usually on the Freeway. Jiffy Lube said it was my CV Boots that were leaking, and it would cost me $1,000 to replace. I took my car over to Honest - 1 Auto, where the Owner, Mike, laughed and said all it needed was to be Balanced and Aligned. I left my car with him and went about my day. By 3pm, they called and said it was ready. When I arrived, I asked the mechanic if he took the car around the block to verify that the "wobble" was indeed gone? He said no, he didn't think that was necessary? You guessed it -- Wobble still there! Oh, that and the car now pulled to the right. (sigh) Over to Les Schwab, where they fixed my broken CV Axle - both the right & left pieces - for a total of $475. I went back to Honest 1 and showed them my Repair Receipt from Les Schwab and asked them to refund me the $100.00 I paid for a bogus Balance & Alignment, or else I'd publish this Review. They told us to fix our 2019 car it would be $2,600 then they proceeded to pull a part out that they couldn't get back together correctly and wanted an additional $3,000 bringing the total to $5,600 when there was no warning that this may happen when they fixed it. took my 70s Landcruiser in to repair a clutch problem, oil leak and gas gauge that wasn't working. they found a bunch of other issues to the tune of line $3K+ which i had them do, only to get home and guess what? the gas gauge still wasn't working and it was still leaking oil! I brought it back and they said they'd replaced the gas gauge (but obviously didn't test it) so needed to order a new one, and said they'd replaced some gaskets that would cause the leak. eventually got the gas gauge replaced again which seems to work but when I got home it was still leaking . so they charged me more $ to replace the "other areas that could be causing the leak." guess what? after 3-4 attempts the leak was never fixed once and when I sent an email and picture to the owner Mike to tell them they never fixed the leak and asking they fix it as I already paid to have that fixed he says they can't do work for free and that they'd have to charge me for any other work they do. No accountability for the work the said they did that was never fixed. I waited 2.5 hours for a 21 point inspection. All they did was look underneath the car visually to diagnose. They quoted me $611 for breaks and rotors, which are 3 weeks old on my car. They missed 2 major issues under my hood which shows they did not look. The man at the front desk has a shirt temper also. I highly recommend avoiding this place. My car got broken into while at honest1clackamas location. I'm sharing my experience because I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through what we have with this company. This is just the cherry on top of a shit pie. I took my car in beginning of July and they said my computer was the issue so I need a new one. Unfortunately ford does not make new ones for my year. It has to be rebuilt and the only company that rebuilds them they have had issues with and that was our only option. Very long story short. They charged us for a rebuilt computer the car was in and out of the shop the bill totaled up $2941dollars in repairs. I called the company Cardone to ask about the warranty they have on the rebuilt computer to find out they ran a test on the computer and it was fine they sent it back with notes saying they didn't repair it at all. I found this out on Friday later that day they called to tell me my car got broken into and they are not responsible for any theft or damage in their parking lot. Mike from Honest 1 was extremely rude every time he spoke to me. I went to pick up my car and ask him why he charged us for a rebuilt computer when it was not rebuilt. He raised his voice and would not let me speak or ask questions. He pushed blame onto Cardone. I left with my car in worse condition and zero accountability or effort to try to fix what was going on. He lied about making a police report as well. Police report was filed on my end and a civil suit will follow. DONT TAKE USE HONEST 1 in Clackmas they are not honest and they have zero theft protection around their business no fences or security. read more

I've been going to their Aloha location for the last year, they've serviced two of my vehicles and I have a third and needed an oil change, I just needed an oil change. I purchased their VIP cards. They're great and have never had an issue until today. With MIKE at this location. I've always used two oils changes on the VIP card for my cars, no issue. Well Mike said hold my beer. This is my first time at this location and WILL BE MY LAST! We just moved to this area and well, thanks but no thanks. He refused to use two oil changes, said it wasn't his problem he likes to get big and loud too be careful around this one. I felt threatened, I got defensive. I said you have to understand from a customers perspective that this is wrong I've been coming to them for over a year no issues. He said not his problem, not his rules it's the owners. He shut it down, no problem solving or any customer service whatsoever. He just likes to get louder and speak over you. I waited over a week for this appointment. Full transparency, I called him a f****** A***** on the way out. Following this terrible event. I called my beaverton location talked to Richard. He said the owner told them they could use two. And that Mike was wrong. He apologized and said I could come there but I couldn't make it out to beaverton. I then called their Milwaukie location talked to Scott the manager. Awesome guy, understanding and again confirmed that Mike was wrong and in the wrong. I'm well invested in honest 1 auto care. I believe their business model and values is why I was a loyal customer to them. Mike does not reflect, at all. The values of honest 1. We all have bad days. But that was completely unacceptable. Mike Hadley, the manager is very rude. He is extremely DISRESPECTFUL and will blame you for any miscommunication. Mike is insensitive and speaks over you. Instead of apologizing for something I was clearly frustrated about, he just shut down the conversation and hung up the phone. He kept blaming me, implying I am a liar, and arguing with me for more than 10 minutes. Look at the google reviews too and the responses to all the unhappy customers. Those responses he gave will show you his character and exactly how he sounded with me over the phone. He doesn't know how to talk to customers. He is very manipulative and aggressive. I have never had any experience like it. I am still so mad about it because he kept saying "I don't like my customers playing games." like wtf that's how you speak to your customers. I was a customer for a simple oil change and a complimentary inspection. After your technician was done with my car, he left an odor of cigarettes in my car. It gets worse after this. I drove off and shortly after a minute down the street, I heard a loud scraping under my car and pulled over to the side of the road. I went out and looked under my car and saw that my lower engine cover was scraping the ground! So the technician failed to secure my cover back on after removing it for the oil change. So I called Honest1Clackamas and told them about it. Luckily, I think it was James, one of your technicians, who drove over maybe 25 minutes later (even though I was only 2 minutes down the road) and zip-tied it up enough for me to drive back to the shop again (there was still scraping so he didn't even secure it properly). But man he was saying how "I'm tired of cleaning up after the new guy's mistakes. This may be his last." Now I felt bad because this shops employee didn't show support for the new guy. Now when I went back to the shop, I heard James yelling at the technician about the mess-up. I think overheard the technician defending himself saying that there was a missing bolt already. Whether or not if there was already a bolt missing or not, them installing a bolt in there for that part would have prevented all of this damage and time wasted for both parties. What they did to temporarily fix it was using more zip ties to keep it up, leaving me with a damaged and scraped/bent up lower engine cover of which I inspected when I went home. I emailed the manager and hoped that he would fix this mistake by ordering the replacement part for me so that I can reliably fix it myself. But unfortunately, he has not responded at all. read more

Very poor customer service. Had an appointment for 5 pm and ask about the free 21 point inspection, Janet the customer service rep at the desk was too concerned about leaving at 6. I was told by her that even if we do the 21 point service you are not going to get anything fixed so we are not going to do it. If they offer the inspection they should honor it. Up to this point we have had good service but, due to Janet's poor attitude towards none native English speakers and her concern about her hours we will not be going to this shop nor recommending it to others. spend your money elsewhere! He then continued to tell me I don't need to change it because it's sealed and I corrected him because my own car is giving me a notice that I need to change it. Arrived here at 8am opening the only employee at the shop was a nice guy by the name of Trevor. Soon as I walked in it was clear he had his hands full with multiple different things. He was still very polite and helpful regardless of being the only person at the shop. My oil was still changed out in under 30-40 minutes. It's always nice to see people that work day shift hours can still be happy and professional. Took my car in for a tire rotation and oil change, and was told my oil case gasket thingey is leaking. Normally I would say, "LIAR!" and run, but I knew it was true because there was a puddle of oil under my car all the time and I've already had the head gasket replaced. I will start this review by saying that this business will really frustrate you if you are a busy person who is short on time. Nearly two years ago a man came to our door selling a car care package including several free oil changes and many other items for a very low discounted price so my fiancee decided to purchase the package. What a mistake this has been. So far we have used 6 of the oil changes and made appointment for all of them. The LEAST amount of time it has taken them was 45 minutes but has averaged 1 hour! FOR AN OIL CHANGE! Words can't begin to describe how frustrating this has been for us. During the first couple oil changes we had done they did other small inspections finding faults with items on the vehicle that were known to be PROBLEM FREE! ALSO on one occasion I drove all the way home to find my oil cap missing and the funnel still in the filler hole. I have taken my car to Honest-1 for over a year for oil changes and minor repairs. I will never take my car back there after this. Was told by a dealership my heater core was plugged, so I took it to Honest-1 to have the $900 repair done. They called and said it was not my heater core, but another thing (still about $900). I agreed to have the repair done. When I went in to get my car, they charged me almost $1200! Come to find out, there was an additional repair that needed to be done. They claimed they called and left me a message about it, but I never received the call. Therefore, I never agreed to have the additional work done. Yet, I was charged for it. They did take $100 off my overall total (how generous), but I will still out $200 more than I originally was told. The best part? The heater still doesn't work. read more

My car died nearby, so I had it towed here. They weren't able to look at it immediately so I had to wait about a day for the results. After a new battery, everything was okay. Pricing here is pretty outrageous. I was charged about $280 for a checkup and a battery change, which really shouldn't be more than $200. The faceplate to my stereo was gone, so I went inside and asked if they had removed it. The answer was no, they wouldn't mess with anything like that. The clerk even ran to talk to the mechanic and said they didn't take anything off inside the car. Turns out they did remove it and it was in my glovebox. Fast-forward a month (here's where it gets juicy). My car dies again and I notice that the positive lead on my battery is extremely corroded and the plastic on the battery is charred and melted. Woah. After several jumps and opinions, I end up fixing it myself by MUSCLING the positive lead off and scrubbing it clean with a terminal cleaner solution. All is well now, but I'd sure like some sort of refund or at least acknowledgement from Honest-1 as it has only been a month and they were the last party to even open my hood before this issue came around. I called in and told the clerk what happened and was met with a slough of excuses and phrases like "we just can't take responsibility for that". He grew angry and informed me that he didn't understand how I could just assume it was his fault and that I would have to schedule another check with them to get it looked at. Please stay clear of this place. Took my truck there (was a customer for multiple years) because of a clunk noise when I backed up. They tried to convince me I needed new differential at approx $2500. Sounded fishy to me so I said no. Took it to Larry Morton in O.C - only a transmission mount at $350. And guess what Honest One replaced (at least they said they did) approx 1 year prior(for more than $350) . Also Larry said I had a bad motor mount. You guessed it Honest One (at least they said they did) replaced motor mounts same time they did the transmission mount. I called Carl and his response "why didn't you return to me to fix". I'm dumb (with this situation) but not stupid. Carl said "I will make this right". Approx 6 months later no return call or resolution. STAY CLEAR!!!! I came back to try to get that fixed and they told me that they can't get the hood open without breaking something else. I brought my dodge Caravan to get a hole in the tire fixed, the heater blower replaced, and a sliding door latch cable replaced. the door didn't open from outside, only from the inside. They charged me $800. they did not fix my tire. they did not fix the blower, instead charged me $100 to tell me to take it to the dealership. And the slider door scrapes as it closes does not latch open anymore (it did before I took it in) and does not open from the inside. H-1 has done all my service needs on my nissan titan for over 5 years and has been the best experience I have ever had in my life with auto repair. They truly live up to their name, "Honest". A year ago I was determined to have my pads replaced on the front, since vehicle had 75k miles on it. Rather than just take my money, H-1 told me that professionally they were not comfortable replacing the pads at that time (not needed yet). On another occasion I asked them to fix an issue with my AC, knowing that it would be rather expensive. Again, rather than just take my money, they spend the time to research issue and discovered nissan had an extended warranty on the issue. Took my car in for motor mount, got my car back in an even worse condition. Set an appointment to check their work to make sure they didn't just simply miss something and they told me they had to charge me a diagnostic fee of 220 dollars to check. I said hell no, obviously, got an appointment to check their work and come to find out all they did to check it was drive it around and tell me what I know and blame me for going with the aftermarket part. On top of that, I originally went to the Milwaukie location and they quoted me 70 for the mount and then this location I ended up going to charged me 170 for the part. Dishonest and shady. After 3 different attempts and 2 different water pumps, we finally may have rectified the situation.
