Last night I was heading back to the Yakima area when I got a flat tire. I was able to get my spare on and drive into Hood River, OR. Every thing was closed so I decided to spend the night at a local motel in The Dalles. OR. I got up the next morning and made my way up to Goldendale. WA and stopped in to Les Schwab's to see if they could fix my flat. This location opens its doors at 8 am. They greeted me quickly and got to work on my tire. I waited for about 30 minutes and the boys had it ready to go. They called me up to the counter and to my surprise they told me I didn't owe them anything. I asked why there was no charge and assured them I had not purchased the tires from Les Schwab's. I was told it was there way of trying to get my business in the future. Absolutely phenomenal service. We came in 5minutes to close with a flat, they helped us with a smile and took great care of us. Service like this back home (we were 5 hours from home) wouldn't be the same. Although we felt bad for coming in last minute, it obviously wasn't just for fun. I got a flat on a road trip recently and was able to arrive at my destination in Goldendale on the spare tire. The techs at Les Schwab fixed my flat for a very reasonable price!! To top it off, they went out of their way to help us with the off road buggy we had for the race in their town. I've been a big fan of Les Schwab for a couple of decades. Friendly dependable, good product and fair price. Last Friday we were traveling and had a wheel come off. I know it's their job, but these guys in Goldendale did a truly incredible job, fixing the damage so the truck could make it off the hwy and back to the shop. Then they called the the original store the work had been done, got the ball rolling fixed the truck good as new and got us back on the road in only a couple of hours with no charge. I got a flat on my truck tire. I put on the spare and came to this tire store thinking I could get a reasonable price for a tire so I would not have to drive another 150 miles to Bend, towing my trailer on the spare tire. I asked for a used tire, they said that none were available. When I asked the price for a new tire, he quoted me $350...yes, $350 for a single tire. What could I do? Risk driving another 150 miles towing my trailer with my family in the truck or get fleeced by this Les Schwab tire store. Now I know the definition of highway robbery. read more

Our Les Schwab is the best! I am on a severe budget but thought I needed new tires. The guys at Les Schwab found tires I could afford on my meager budget and ordered them to be delivered to the store the next day. When I went back to buy them, halfway through the installation, the owner came and asked me why I was getting new tires. I explained that I'd been getting a lot of flats lately. He told me that my tires were hardly worn but my rims were slightly warped and the valve stems were leaking. I didn't need new tires. I expected that he would charge me something for fixing the rims and valve stems but no, he would not take a cent! They could have sold me new tires for close to $400. but instead were not only honest and fair but generous and kind. I'm sure that most tire stores would have charged me. read more

I'm terrible at writing reviews but this was praise worthy! I work with the homeless community a lot after giving a homeless fella a ride I encountered a young native man stranded on Satus pass with no cell service a blown tire, no tools etc. I brought him back into Goldendale to try and buy a spare tire to get him back on the road. We pulled up to the Goodyear because the sign said Open it was apparently closed by a few minutes. We asked the tech about a tire he said "compressors are off we are CLOSED!" We posted on Facebook for help and eventually go a tire to try. No dice. It didn't fit. He stayed the night with us in Goldendale and we went to Les Schwab first thing in the morning. I explained the situation to the manager who took the young mans rim with blown tire and returned in about 20 minutes with a really nice new tire to get the young man back on the road. When we asked what we owed him he said no charge ! He told us he appreciated the opportunity to give back!! Thank you Lee and thank you Les Schwab !!
