I took my car here while I was working out of town, and had my brakes and shocks done before traveling back home. While I will give credit to the office staff for their help and service, the installation side of things not so much. My brakes began making a grinding noise after they had been replaced and I had to take my car back in to have the issue taken care of. Then the shocks they installed began to make a loud noise when I hit a bump in the road, so I took it back in to find out that they assembled them without the springs installed. Thankfully I avoided serious damage to my car. I've never been to Les Schwab before, like I said their customer service is great, and maybe their tires. I have no experience with that. But for anything else I would stick to your local mechanic. read more

I went to Les Schwab this morning and everything was good from the start people there were nice good so far...then I seen that my car was just sitting outside for a good while and I finally go and ask why is my car just sitting there. She proceeds to tell me it's been done for an hour a fucking hour. They called the number on the paper when I was the one who took it in. horrible absolutely horrible service. How do you not think to tell the person who brought the car in? I had to work after and that is a hour later I get to start. doesn't make any sense. We had a breakdown on the highway with a wheel coming off our 24' cargo trailer and after over 12 hours of being stranded on the highway we were told by the towing companies that these guys could do the work. So we went in and spoke to them about our problem and they assured us they could replace our axles. At first we wanted heavier axles put on but it would of entailed work that was out of their scope of expertise. So we went with what was on there. When he showed my husband what was in the axle kit it was it showed the total assembly of axle, hubs, leaf springs. Everything except the wheels and tires. It was also suggested that we buy radial tires because they don't heat up. The tires we had were new but safety first and we bought 4 new tires. So we unloaded our trailer into a uhaul and finished going to Montana to drop off our cargo and said we'd swing back through on our way back to California and pick up our trailer. Only to find they only replaced the axle that the wheel came off and not the second one that was bent, nor did they replace the leaf springs with the new axle. Because when we got home we documented the fact the second axle was bent and they let us drive home almost a 1000 miles with a bent axle. We do a lot of business with Les Schwab and for tires and alignments you're fine. But if they couldn't do the job right they shouldn't of taken it on. They even re packed the wheel bearings on all 4 wheels and charged us. I would think the new ones wouldn't of needed it and they packed them on the bent axle. SMH read more

I've always had a good experience with Les Schwab until now. Been going to them for about 18 years. So I had a screw in my rear tire. I took it in they removed it patched it all good to go. My luck two days later I get another screw on the same tire! So I put on my spare since they were closed on Sunday evening. Come Monday I take the car in and all of a sudden they can't do it. They said we need to buy all new tires. So, how come they didn't say that two days ago? Sounds like a sales in the making. They didn't have our tire so special order and total amount was around $1300 for a tire that had wear ratings of5.5 and bad handling in wet and icy roads. It had a 6 out of 10 for quietness and comfort. Sorry no way. Costco $980 for a tire average ratings of 7 out of 10 across. Better tire less money. $300 less. Found a way better tire with way better ratings 8-9 out of 10 all around for $779 plus 3 day Free shipping. I called Les schwaab to get pricing on install. $214 Called two other tire places and $134 cheaper for spin balance and reprogramming no matter the vehicle. Total $106 vs Les Scwaab $214 Got a deal for being a valuable 2 year customer. 18 years Les schwab cmon just because I don't take my vehicle there and run up credit every six months you guys close my account and give me a install price of what a tire is worth because I didn't order tires through you guys??? You lost a customer. I don't know if you even deserve a 3 star but I'll leave it at that. read more

My car wouldn't start this morning, so after jumping it, I swung into Les Schwab to get the battery checked. Despite being a tire place, I've always had good experiences at other stores for minor car maintenance. The woman inside was helpful and friendly and a technician promptly checked my battery and told me it was fine. A few hours later when my car wouldn't start again, I took it to another repair shop in Hermiston for a second opinion; I was told my battery was totally shot and had it replaced. Now my car runs great. My experience at Les Schwab was nice, but they couldn't even tell me my battery had gone bad, so not only did they lose the opportunity to sell me a new battery, they caused me more trouble later. It would have been nice if they had just gotten it right the first time. read more

This morning we woke up to a complete flat tire (nail in it ) with in 15 minuets is calling them they were at our house putting air in the tire so we can get to their shop. A light came on letting me know my tire pressure was low. I needed to drive to Portland alone later today so I pulled in and had the pressure checked. The young man went right to work and even took the time to find a nail in my tire. He pulled me right in and made the repair. How nice he was and saved me trouble out on the roads alone. A three hour wait to swap out my tires. Too long. Other than the wait, Which was far too long, the service was great as usual. One thing that annoyed was that people they knew were told to come back in two to three hours they would put their invoice on the board and that way they didn't have wait in the store for three hours. We appreciate you more than words can say. We were on our way from Spokane wa to Northern California when a front wheel bearing went out. We limped in from highway to find at packed parking lot and full lobby. Talking to the staff I explained our problem and that we were from out of state. They were polite and told us to leave the keys. We went to truck and sat in the shade. A really cool technician came out within several minutes told me they have the part in house. I scheduled an appointment for 1PM on 3/26/2021 to have my snow tires changed out for my summer tires. I arrived at the location at 12:50PM so I wouldn't keep employees waiting on me. After 1 1/2 hours waiting I went to the counter and asked how much longer it would to get my car. The girl had me wait while she hunted my paperwork. I also noted that the girl who checked me in gave me a look like she was upset that I had questioned why i was still waiting.. The second girl came back and told me I was next. Another 30 minutes went by before my car was ready... Two hours to get my tires changed... If I hadn't had an appointment I could live with that time, but with an appointment this is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE... While I was sitting waiting, i noticed several customers come and go. i mentioned that to the girl at the counter and she said it depended on what type of work they were having done. To me it shouldn't matter since I had an appointment, I should have come before any walk-in traffic after my appointment. In the future, I will take my business elsewhere. I don't think ignoring your customers with appointments should be acceptable to any manager. If an appointment is not prioritized, then why have an appointment system. read more

Experience was good until I checked the manufacture date of the tires. The tires were going on a motor home that is not driven much. The tires are replaced on time not treadwear. The tires they sold me were over 1 1/2 years old. So these tires will have to be replaced in 8 1/2 years not 10. That's 15% of there life. What i found odd is that out of the 4 tires with this date code every tire was turned in so the date code was not easily visible. 4 out of 4. Had a bulge on the sidewall of my Toyo M-55 tires, not in a good place to change it. Down the road a way TPMS warned me tire was losing air, found a flat spot right away, just in time to watch tire finish deflating. Took tire to Schwabs today. Tires have less than 5k miles, came with the truck I purchased, older gentleman who put them on had purchased them from Schwabs in Kennewick. After they tried to simply take the tire without any discussion on cost, the attendant finally looked to see what replacement cost was, quoted $400 + for one tire. These are $250 tires, add sipe and studding so say $300ish. Maybe a little more as a single tire as opposed to a set (advertised for around $800 without studs). No pro-rate on the near-new tires. Sidewall failure is a manufacture defect, not wear and tear. Not exactly 'world class warranty or service'. It does say 'original purchaser' but a true defect and tires that had very few miles does not say much for their product or integrity. read more

Low tire on wifes car Monday morning, ran over a screw, could see the head in the tread. Had to leave at 5:30 am to catch my flight, put air in the tire and went to the airport. Called my wife, told her 'just take your car to Schwab's, that is where we had the tires put on it about a year ago, they will take care of it, no problem'. Get a call later, tire salesman says that the tire is ruined inside and cannot be repaired, in fact, needs new tires all around. One year old with maybe 10k easy miles? Road hazard warranty? These were Schwab's flagship tires! They finally replaced the tire with a screw in it for $200, with a no-name brand tire after she balked at buying a new set. Inspected tires when I got home (again), no wear patterns, probably 75% tread (she doesn't drive a whole lot), tires in great shape. Went to Schwabs in the first place not for price but to know that wherever we might go there would be someplace we could get tire troubles taken care of, or it used to be that way. So much for Les's famous customer service. Liked seeing service rig for Schwabs blowing out sprinklers at employee home, guess they have to cover those extras. read more
