Had to go to Burt Brothers to get my tires looked at and road tested. They measured the tires and they told me they have never seen tires that bad before ever!!! They told me it is unfixable and they recommend new tires. I have all the measurements for each tire since Sam's club refuse to do so. Now there's proof that they never installed correctly. If Sam's Club would have checked their work by doing a road test. They would have known they didn't do it correctly!! So that's why they don't offer that option because they know it's probably wrong. Probably run through a terrible training session and then set out to work on vehicle repair. All I want is my full refund so I can take my business elsewhere. I frequent this Sam's Club often (weekly). It's rare for it not to be packed with patrons. Jeff, who greets members at the entrance, is always friendly and kind. As are many of the team members. The biggest complaint I have is the food court area is always beyond packed and inadequate for the number of people feeding their families of 8-12 and feel it necessary to park theirs carts between each walkway between tables. (Not Sam's fault! Come on people... it's not your place to congest the isles and relocate tables to accommodate your family parties.) In addition, the tables and floor are ALWAYS. Several of those working behind the counter have zero sense of urgency or care for customer service. Morale is low and many appear as if they are forced to work in this department. The store director definitely needs to put some time, effort and more staff in this area, so the team isn't over worked and discouraged. I can't say I blame them one bit and definitely wouldn't be happy either. This is more of a critique on the store leadership to make a better effort to improve this team's environment. read more

Didn't find two products that I saw on the app (and I've found before but they've moved- probably due to holiday stuff) and the Sam's Club employee gave me directions for but weren't there. I looked for a long while and I was so tired after a long day/week of work. The manager was grumpy. I never found the products. I get that during the initial weeks of the COVID-19 response, there'd be a lot of confusion on how to deal with online pickup (although, they've had this service for years). Day 1. I ordered two laptops for my small business and sent an assistant with the order receipt printed in hand, with his name as the authorized agent to pick up the laptops. They gave him nothing but hassle, then when he called me I asked to put on the phone with the associate, and they didn't oblige. 5 minutes later, they canceled my order. I have proof of this cancellation on my account, where it says "Canceled by Sams" Day 2. Since we still needed the laptops, I placed the exact same pair on order again. This time, instead of wasting an employee's time, I went myself. When I arrived, I had the bar code for my order ready on my phone. When I asked the associate standing at the counter that handled online orders, she was clueless about what I was asking. she didn't scan my barcode and she didn't ask my name, she just had me write down my phone number and asked me to wait in the store, and she'd call my cell. So, I had some shopping to do, and I needed rechargeable batteries. I asked an associate in the electronics area, and he was completely dumbfounded that I'd even ask Sam's Club would sell rechargeables. He then asked a guy, who exclaimed there were two kiosks with batteries for sale in the store, and neither of them had rechargeables. He pointed me to one of the kiosks, so since my cell phone hadn't rung to let me know my laptops were ready, I figured I'd check anyhow. Low and behold, one half of one side of the battery kiosk was all rechargeables! 30 minutes later... I'm still waiting for my laptops, so I finally went and asked the same associate. A surprise to no one, she has no idea who I am or what I want. She then calls the same associate over who showed me where the rechargeable batteries weren't, but, really were. I showed him my order on my phone and he explains that they are locked up and leaves to go get them and asks me to wait. I believe he noticed my evil eye at this point as he moved very quickly. Finally, after spending 45 minutes in the store, my online order was finally picked up. On the way out, I cancelled my Sam's Club account. I'm done with them. read more

Sam's Club STOP USING THE PICK UP SYSTEM. I was so, so pissed off when I went to get my order from the pick up counter! I ordered my items the day before I was supposed to pick them up. I went through the easy process of ordering the items on the mobile app and was all set. I followed the instructions and checked in and headed to Sam's club. Unfortunately when I got there there was a line, which didn't bother me at first but then I waited 35 minutes in line and the employee that was working the pick up counter was just chatting it up with the customers and taking her time yet, "An employee will have your order ready inside" then when I finally got to the counter, she had to change the receipt paper and continued to take her time and even left for a few minutes to get more paper yet....."An employee will have your order ready inside" then when she finally got her paper issue figured out, she then had to go and retrieve the items I ordered, which she also had to do for the other customers, but their stuff was on a cart, but then again....."An employee will have your order ready inside" Really Sam's club! Really! This system does not work and will never work because the purpose of the system is to offer convenience to the customer so that they can pick it up and get out of there in less time it would take for the customer to be running around and getting it themselves and well, y'all failed horribly. Ugh! So bottom line, Sam's club pick up service sucks and I don't recommend it ever, like ever, ever!!! read more

(Which seems like most of the time) I was able to get new tires on my car and my wife's car for incredible prices because of some sales they were having! Both our cars really needed new tires... I was able to get $80 off the set of 4 tires on both, as well as $60 off installation (install. is $60). Not to mention their already awesome prices! It was a great deal, and they also have great protections with your tire install - Lifetime tire balance, rotation & flat repair, 24 hour emergency roadside tire service, etc. In addition, it's just a great place to get good deals by buying in bulk. Most people come here for the jumbo sized items...for me it was the pizza. Like most Sam's Clubs this is located right by a local Walmart..specifically the Layton Walmart right off the 15 freeway. You just drive right past the Walmart and the next stoplight is the Sam's Club. It is right across the street from DI. Yes I bought lots of huge tubs of mayo and cheap electronics here but 90 percent of the time I went here was for lunch. I worked nearby and a couple slices of pizza and a soda were 2 bucks and change. Woah seriously....I could spend 6 or 7 bucks at one of the local fast food places or two plus bucks at Sam's Club. My favorite was the three meat pizza...complete with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. I would not want to get the same pizza for lunch every single day but when money was plentiful this was my go-to place for food. The one thing that bugs me was that you never really know exactly when they will get a specific product in. I remember buying Monster Energy Shots at what seemed like an awesome price an then all of a sudden one day there was no more. I inquired at the customer service what happened to them and they explained that they were on clearance and they would no longer be carrying them. There was no sort of signs or anything that would let me know such information...it would have been nice to know I would have bought more of it while it was still in stock. The customer service people were still very nice in helping me...in fact that was one of my favorite things about this location was the people who worked there. Even the people who worked in the food court had an amazing vibe and were good to me every time I was a customer there. But when it comes down to it...who cares about the Monster? Sam's Club is a nice place to get some decent discounts on some items. Sam's Club top membership has electronic coupons that you have to check often to figure out what you get a deal on. Sam's has the best baby supply of the big box stores. Having both Sam's and Costco cards at the highest level makes comparison easy as both have their pluses and minuses. Sam's is great for milk, cheese, chips, baby supplies (other than diapers and wipes), and some seasonal items. Sam's is about average with meat. Sam's is lower with some cooking supplies like rice. I like both stores and Sam's would lose if I had to pick just one but I like both enough to keep membership at both. read more

The Tire Shop are professionals at pulling off the classic bait-and-switch. I setup an appointment early on a Saturday morning so I could get my tires done and have the rest of the day open. I was quoted a certain price for a certain tire two days before the appointment. The tires were in stock according to the guy writing the quote. Of course when I arrived the particular tire that I ordered wasn't there. Apparently there was a rebate that was applicable when I was quoted the tire price, but it had since expired and was unable to be applied to that day's transaction. Of course there was an upsell pitch as the scenario progressed. There are plenty of places to buy tires; it's a quite competitive market. I do not have the time, and refuse to spend money at a tire shop who fails to honor their quotes and doesn't even have the tires that they committed to having. Maybe Sam's Club should stick with their core competency of selling jumbo-sized foods. read more

2020_01_31. Worst Pick-Up App there is. Sam's Layton might just as well do away with it. "Tried" using App for first time. I couldn't get it to process for some reason. Went to the store Customer Service, small desk, one employee and one couple in front of me. Employee was getting someone to help the customers. Help came and left to help I suppose. Employee finally asked if she could help me. I said I was having problems with my App order. "Go to Pick-Up desk". I did. Employee said she didn't know much about the App. Called for help. Never came. She went to Customer Service and came back with the other same Employee. "Looks like the order didn't go through". No kidding. Left angry. Cosco has larger help desks and many more employees. Sam's has cut the number of employees so sort that all areas are now doing two jobs or more with one employee. I hear nothing but complaints for all the employees. Get better before customers get wise and leave. I hope it is better at other locations. read more

Too bad the WIFI is so SLOW in Sams club that the auto sign in times out, and you often have to type in you User-I'd and password....if you can remember it. Too bad, high tech app, low tech WIFI. This Sam's is not my local store but the service I received from the employees and manager was amazing. They went out of their way to help me replace something of sentimental importance - from checking the store for the item, keeping it in the office to make sure it would be available when I arrived and then bringing it to the counter for me to pick up without a hassle. This particular Sam's Club store has a cave-like warehouse feel, rather than a clean, store feel. It's a bit disappointing to see cement and stuff shoved behind chain link fencing inside the store, freezers shut down with plywood inside the windows. I had a hard time finding things, as it's not well organized in the produce/dairy/meat sections. The employees are friendly and helpful, however, so I wouldn't say stay away. Just be prepared for a less than optimal shopping experience. read more

Your service desk people sucked! I waited 15 to 20 minutes in line just to pay a bill, a service desk lady looked over to me and this lady that was behind me and called woman behind me up to help her instead of me. So I questioned what happened to me?. I told her I needed to pay a bill, she said she didn't know how to do those. And there was two other gentlemen that were waiting for a photo for a card. There was a gentleman and a lady working the counter and they both didn't know what they were doing. I was going shopping at sams club layton utah. I got a nail in my tire and asked the tire garage if they could remove and patch while I was shopping. There was not one vehicle waiting and the garage was empty. Two men came out of a room and looked at the nail and stated we can't take that out you need a whole new tire. I suggest you take it back to where you bought it. I said ok, but as I was leaving I noticed them snickering to one another, then realizing oh. It's take advantage of a woman again. Went this morning it was clean the people were fantastic we had a great experience I love the store

I was formerly a Sam's Club member years ago, and returning, I now remember why I left. The store reeked of an overpowering and unpleasant odor of improperly used sanitizer. It was messy, desperately needs a remodel, and there was only a skeleton crew working. I found a membership deal online and it took half and hour to get signed up, 15 minutes was spent waiting for someone with the permissions to validate the gift card I was supposed to receive. As a part of the online deal I received vouchers for some free stuff, but some items were out of stock. Also, it took a 4 person line pile up in order for a supervisor to finally open another lane. This same supervisor also pulled customers into her line out of order (she didn't grab the 2nd customer before the 3rd) AND she lost another customers membership card! She proceeded to interrogate me (I was helped immediately prior to him) if she somehow gave me the card. She had the audacity to ask me three times if I was sure I didn't have his card, I clearly showed her MY picture on MY card. Also, the concessions employees were less than friendly, AND they only have about 4 items on their menu, Costco has about 10. Honestly, take the extra time and go to the Costco in Riverdale, in the 6 years since I've switched, I have not been disappointed by Costco. They have higher quality products and better service. read more
