Les Schwab Tire Center Livermore did a great job siping the mud tires on my Jeep. This is a modification that I recommend to anyone as it significantly increases rain and snow traction as well as noticeably extending the life of the tires. Made an appointment with Eric the day prior to coming in, I get there the day of my appointment and they tell me it doesn't exist, 4 new tires and an alignment is what I came in for.. got the tires no alignment. Took almost 3 hours from the time I walked in. My appointment was at 12. I expected around 2 hours with everything i asked for with a set appointment. Then when the truck is done they drive it out and it sits there they didn't tell me anything but I had been inside the store waiting the entire time. And I'm not more than 10 miles away from the store and my tire pressure sensor warning starts popping up on the dash. If demand can't be met don't tell your customer one thing if you're giving another. Communication is easy. read more

I had a good experience with the staff being kind and friendly, but the wait was excruciating and the communication more so. I went to Les Schwab, not because of good tire prices, but because my experience with them has always been top notch. Not this time. There was not much they did but apologize. When I was almost done to pick up my car at 3 pm (12 - 3 wait time with appointment), The person giving me my keys had said my car needed an alignment, but my appointment and my check in at the front desk noted i needed an alignment. It said on the paper but he stated "it didnt really say it say it" then proceeded to tell me no one covered his lunch, which is why they were taking a long time. He then told me that he would charge me for only one set of alignment, which I said ok because i was tired of waiting. I then waited for another 45 minutes to have my car aligned. It was a wait from 12 - 4 pm. I wasn't able to pick up my daughter andhad to rearrange things just for this appointment. I understand wait times, but don't tell me that it was only supposed to be 1.5 hours, and take my car back at around 2 ish, (I saw them take it back). This shouldve been communicated with me. No one checked on me and I had to check myself several times. I think that I would not choose Les Schwab again, as the price point and the extended warranty does not make up for the lack of communication and customer service. I expect this at Costco, not here. Might as well go to Costco. My husband and I came in at 2pm on Monday, February 9th to get 2 new tires for his car. My husband asked if they did price matching and the young lady that was helping wasnt sure as she was still learning. There was a guy, not sure of his name, but was very rude and unprofessional. He said no we don't price match. No biggie. My husband reviewed the work order sheet. There was a $9 charge for some pressure kit, which asked if it could be removed. The gentleman was rude and said it's recommended, but when my husband declined it acted all upset about it. He had an arrogance about him as if he knew more than we did. When we asked how long it would take, they said an hour and a half. At this time we didn't see any other vehicles, but ours so thought we would grab something to eat and come back. Once we came back we saw that our car had not moved. It was exactly an hour and half later. Same guy said, yeah its not done. It'll be about another hour and half. What??? I told him there wasn't any other vehicles, but ours out there. He said, yeah we had a full load. Whatever, give us our keys back! We we're so upset, we left and I will absolutely never, ever come back here again! I'm also telling all of my friends and family how bad this place! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Don't ever trust this location. I brought my car in because I had a flat and needed it repaired. They took 3 hours - told me I was good to go and it was fixed, and pretended they were doing me a favor by doing it "free of charge in hopes of continued loyalty to their company" The next morning my tire was flat again. My husband took the tire off and low and behold the "fix a flat" repair my husband used initially was still there. Les Schwab had done nothing. I called to speak to a manager and was told they actually couldn't find where the flat was and "there was confusion." I asked him "so basically you guys pretended to do the work? And sent me on my way with out telling me? Then pretended you were doing me a favor?" And he responded with "basically" 1 Concerning they didn't have the ability to identify where the "fix a flat" was. 2 also concerning they didn't tell me that initially. Instead they gave me my keys, pretended to do the work & pretended to give me a deal. so i thought I was fine. Total safety concern. 6 months pregnant driving down the highway with a busted tire. I went in today to have my tires rotated. Well what a deal $35 to have my tires inspected and rotated only to be told that I only have 1 month left of tread on my freshly rotated tires. Went in with a tiny easily pluggable leak hoping they would do a bette job because the tire was fairly new, car was completely drivable at this point, they took the tire out, drilled a hole and without even trying said that they can't fix it and have to replace the tire. I tried to plug in the hole myself but was asked to leave since I wasn't allowed to do so on their property. I had no option but to get the tire replaced. Never go to them to patch a tire, they'll make sure that you replace it. read more

Once again, I brought my car in because my tire had a leak. After 90 minutes, the technician told me that I had a screw and a nail in the tire. He said they patched one hole and plugged the other. I expected to pay something for their time but once again, they said that this repair was free and to just consider them for future work like brakes or new tires. My car disparately needed my front brakes changed. I am from out of town so I must have my brakes changed the same day. This was so stressful because this happened on a Wednesday but payday is on Friday. Just my luck. Al the mechanic was able to help me change my brakes a few hours later because they had to outsource the parts. Ryan helped and contacted the Les Schwab in my hometown to increase my Les Schwab credit so that I did not have to come out of pocket. I don't know what I would have done without their assistance. One of my tires was leaking air, I foudn this place through a quick google search, and saw that they did tire patching for free if your car was eligible. Luckily my car was, and luckliy their website stated that they take walk in. so I took it to the Livermore location after work. Everyone was really nice from the person checking me in, to the person who did my tire. I waited a little over an hour and a half, but I can't complain because I was a walk in and they had many others before me. So I didn't mind waiting, I walked over to the in n out which is in the same-ish plaza. They did a good job with the tire patch, it's still holding up today. When asked to speak to the Manager, he completely brushed it off and said "oh they must've looked at the sizes wrong". zero accountability and didn't even apologize for giving me the wrong size tires that I drove on for over 3 weeks before noticing! I then asked to get the tires rotated and they didn't! I went to a different tire shop today and was told that the tires were NOT rotated, in addition, there were 2 missing bolts to one tire! I had an appointment for a set of tires and an alignment, and it took almost FOUR HOURS. Ridiculous.

Now post C-19, past customer decade and a half. Costco believe it or not was a niggtmare and ripoff for Michelin set of x4 what they replaced withe x2 defects was NOT major brand this was within a 5 mo period. But, Costo failed AND LSTirrs REIGNED as King, btw never trusted C's tores after a tire tech told me behind the scenes over a 5 yr period. LST ranked 9 in my book, mgr's chg and installers slower to come and go since free popcorn ,coffee tea & WiFi and tire rotations , dealer wanted 129 + tx and a fee. NOT Les ST~from Oregon. They've been here longer than I have! They Gwt 'er done and longest i ever waited was x2 hrs on a busy Friday and No SUNDAYs but doesnt everyone have to have a day of rest, right? They even lower your son's hotrod Dodge Charger, but too low and safely for performance and swag. They DO Brakes bit no oil chgs. I have Electric so i dint need that or coolant service. They explain no matter if your a man or woman or Other just plain text to and see you as a consumer driver non-mechanic, treating fairly. Worth the visit and now... I've lived here in Livermore for 20 years, but had never gone to the Les Schwab Tire Center near WalMart at any time, as I've always been a faithful customer of America's Tire Company in Livermore (and will continue to be). However, I recently changed-out the front struts on my 2018 Explorer Sport by myself, and wanted to get the alignment reset, as it was clear that my work had made a minor change in the wheel relationship. As, unfortunately, America's Tire does not perform wheel alignments, I decided to give the nearby Les Schwab facility a try. I went to their website and made an alignment appointment two days out, for in the morning. When I got there, they checked me in right away, and started on my SUV immediately! The young man who did the alignment seemed to know his stuff, and reset the toe in only about 15 minutes. When I left, my steering wheel was once again perfectly centered, and the truck was riding straight and true, just as it had been before. While I will be watching my tire wear closely, to make sure that everything remains on the up-and-up, so far I was impressed with their ability to start on the vehicle as soon as my appointment time came due, and with how fast they were able to make the needed corrections. All said, a very good first experience, of their facility and staff, and I will think of them again first, whenever I find the need for another alignment! read more

I have all my car tires rotated at Les Schwab in Livermore and just as my next rotation on my Rec Van was do I was driving on the freeway when I felt a vibration on the left front tire and I pulled over and all the lug nuts were really loose. I tightened four of them and the fifth one would not screw back on. I took it into to Les Schwab to get it fixed. The manager Micky came over and was immediately reneging on any responsibility to fixing the problem. I told him that they were the last ones to touch those tires and rims since I had no reason to do anything else but rotating them and Les Schwab would be doing the next rotation. He took it into inspect the problem and also found the right front wheel had a stripped lug nuts also. The technician call me to tell me that I would be responsible for the cost of parts. I told him that I was not paying for any of the work as that I felt they were responsible for and I picked up my van. Even though I know I'm going to have to pay to fix the problem at least I know the work is going to be done by a reputable service department. I will never bring my vehicles into Les Schwab again and if they think they saved some money in reality they lost a customer for life and all my friends and family will no longer use them. I am really thankful and blessed that me and my wife didn't loose our lives if that front wheel came off on the freeway that day. read more
