It's an unpleasant feelings when you have a "Flat tyre" early in the morning, I had to take my car to the nearest tyre shop and it was Tire Choice, on fst street opposite to Starbucks, earlier this was also know as Goodyear tyres For years I was going to this shop, but for last few years their quality of service fell apart and I moved on with other tyre shops for my needs But today to my astonishment when I went there I saw "MIke"one of a seasoned manager, very humble and strives hard to help his customers and treats every one with respect, within 30 mins he fixed my tyre issue and I was ready to hit the road. I have been a customer at this location for years and have brought three different cars here over time. After the name change, the service declined. I really tried to stay loyal, but unfortunately I now need to find a new place. I scheduled an appointment for a simple oil change. I dropped my car off. After waiting several hours, I called and was told they couldn't get to it. There was no explanation. I understand that staffing issues happen, so I gave them another chance the following week. I dropped my car off in the morning and was told they would call when it was ready. I never heard from them. When I called, I was told to come at 4:30 -- and when I arrived, the car still wasn't ready. The next issue was a tire repair. They told me the damage was in the sidewall and that I needed to purchase four new tires at a very high price. I've been told "sidewall damage" before, so I decided to get a second opinion. Another shop repaired the tire without issue -- it was not sidewall damage. That experience made me lose trust in their tire service. Despite that, I gave them one more chance for an oil change (it's hard to leave a place you've used for years -- you want it to work). I dropped the car off first thing in the morning and was told it would be ready after lunch. When I called, they said it was "on the lift" and would be ready soon. I drove by and noticed it was exactly where I had left it on the street . After several more hours with no call, I contacted them again near closing and was told I could pick it up. It was then in a spot in their lot. I asked why I had been told the car was on the lift when it clearly wasn't. I said it wasn't a big deal, but why not just be honest? There was no response. I also asked whether everything was fine with the car, usually they mention if something needs attention . I knew one windshield wiper was broken and planned to have all three replaced but forgot. I was told none were broken and that I was good to go, even though the rubber was visibly hanging off. Again, no response. There was no service sticker on the windshield, which made me question whether anything had actually been done. Overall, I can no longer recommend this location. I was going to be in town, so I picked up a decently priced Groupon, for a synthetic blend oil change, along with a tire rotation, and a safety check. I had an appointment for 9 AM, but I was running late so I called them. They said no problem at all, we will see you soon. I showed up at about 20 after nine, and I believe I was helped by Jorge, the manager. I apologized for being late, and. Told them that I didn't need the tire rotation or the safety check, (I know my vehicle is in good shape ,) as I had to be in Tracy by 11 AM. Jorge said no problem, we will get you done quickly. He was very friendly and helpful, and we filled out the paperwork. A half hour later, and my vehicle was done. While , they didn't rotate the tires, they did check the tire pressure, which was nice. We finished up the paperwork, I gave him my Groupon information, there was another small charge for the waste disposal fee, and I was out the door. I made it to Tracy in time for my appointment. Hah. Good luck ever getting your car work done here. They'd tell you it takes an hour to get an oil change, but trust me on this, it will always take them 3-4 hours for a simple oil change. One time, they didn't even put my heat shield on the base of my car in properly so it ended up being dragged on the ground as I drove. It took them not once, but TWICE to change it ALL because of their sloppy work from an oil change. They were prominent about me being on time for my appointment at 7:30am so as a customer, I showed up at 7:30am at their front door and what do I get in return? Nothing. No one was in office, I had to wait outside for 30+ minutes until the manager showed up, shrugging me off as I told them how long I waited. What didn't make sense was that I was the first customer there and guess what, for a simple bolt or so, it took 4, yes...4 hours to fix three bolts screwed in as a first customer on a Saturday morning. I have no idea why everything is super sluggish and slow here, but let me tell you...this place is SLOW, and unprofessional with their work. Do NOT come here. read more

We have been bringing our 2 current cars here for years, and we used to bring our 2 previous cars here, plus my brother also brings his car here and I've brought my mom's car here. We've had a LOT of work done on our cars, including new tires, brakes, etc. over about 15 years and they are always so reasonable, honest, kind, and I never feel like they are stringing me along to make me buy crap I don't need. Cut to today when I just needed to get one of my yellow running lights replaced. They warned me I had a couple folks in front of me, but I had time so I waited...for about 2 hours. Which really, it was fine and I didn't complain cuz he had level set my expectations on waiting. I just watched their TV in the waiting area. Once done, they said it was "on the house." I didn't need to pay anything?!?!?! So, while I can't guarantee they will do that for others, they saw I've been a loyal customer and they clearly continue to get my business due to their great customer service. What they don't know is, I'm unemployed right now, looking for a full time job and money is really tight. So this was such a blessing coming at a time when I needed it most. Outstanding service and staff! - Mike, Alesse and the Mechanics. I had an appointment scheduled at 12 for a puncture fix. I reached there but the front desk had left for lunch, so had to wait for sometime for them to return. Upon returning, I was expecting my car to be taken in as per the appt, but that didn't happen and I waited for 45 mins until I was told that it still would take some more time before they could get to my car. It was a little annoying, to hear this after such a long wait, anyways I got it rescheduled and went back the next day. The next day , the moment I reached there, Mike was at the front desk and immediately took my car in. The mech examined the tire thoroughly , showed me where the puncture was and it was a quick turnaround to get it fixed. But, here is what stood out. Mike asked me how long I had to wait the day before, and when I told him like 45 mins, he immediately said the fix is taken care of and you are good to go. He waived it off. This was extremely polite and mindful of him. An act of being loyal and valuing your Customers and their time. Highly recommend these guys for their work and loyalty. read more

Today, I went to Tire Choice and Cassandra was extremely friendly and helpful in getting my tire checked to find out what was wrong. I had originally referred this place to my sister and they have given her the worse treatment. The under carriage heating shield was never put back into place correctly. First time it was just dragging on the road when she was driving. She went and had them drill it back in place. A few weeks later it dropped again while we were out on a trip. Made an appointment at 7:30 am because they said we could drop by. Been waiting 30 minutes and it's not even open despite the store and website saying it is open at 7:30. Very unprofessional and a waste of mine and her time. Each time we go in for an oil change they say it should be 45 minutes but it ends up being 4 hours. I have been offered a ride home but my sister never had been offered either. I don't believe I will be coming back here even after years of using their service. read more

I've gone to Tire Choice in Livermore and Tracy for years. Livermore is more convenient but I will never go back. I called on Wednesday morning to order three tires because they always have to be special ordered. The man I spoke to said he would call me once they arrived, he failed to do so. I called on Friday morning to follow up to see if they were in and they had been delivered Thursday. I made an appointment for Saturday morning and was assured that it would only take an hour to put the new tires on. I was very clear that I could not stay there all day with a toddler. I went to drop my car off this morning and was told it would take 6 hours at a minimum for them to get to my car, despite having an appointment. The guy at the front with a long beard had a very I don't give a $hit attitude and that nothing was his problem. He wasn't apologetic and clearly is not invested in the success of this store. I will never bring my business here again, between the lack of communication and lack of customer service, I'm done. read more

I was so disappointed in these people the service was subpar in every way! Not only were they overpriced for a basic brake job and I mean way overpriced they left the radiator cap loose on my truck and I started leaking radiator fluid shortly after leaving the shop and arriving at oil changers who told me they left it loose! Then I noticed a clicking sound when I would hit repetitive bumps in the road which was not there when I took the truck in! The metal clicking sound goes away when I put the brakes on and they say they can't do anything about that that I needed new rotors but since they overcharged me over $1,000 I couldn't afford the rotors and rotors on my truck are part of the hub, they're not two-piece so they can't be the rotors making the clicking sound! And then today I went underneath the truck to see what I can see and they left the rubber grommets out of the back brake drums which means dirt and water from rain will get into the moving parts of the rear brakes and can cause them to fail prematurely! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! A place I would recommend and I've been there and their services way better and their customer service is way better is Big o tires down the street from them! The only reason I didn't go to them with my truck was because these people were down the street from my house and I walked home for the convenience. read more

When i dropped it off in the morning, 3 tires(driver front, 2 rear) were worn out but passenger front were pretty new(1month use only)But i decided to replace all for so i can just save the right front for reserve incase i get a flat tire in the future. But when i pick up my car and asked for the one tire. All of the sudden there was a long nail(4inches) on the side of it. I have a picture to prove that there was no nail or hole on the tire. I went to tire choice for my brakes a couple years ago thinking they did a good job. 2 years later I need new brakes and rotors because they didn't do it right in the first place. I went to another auto shop and they said they just replaced the brake pads not the rotors. Explains why my car was jerking every time I was putting on the brakes. Tire choice even kept my car from the time they opened til closing and charged an arm and a leg for an awful and incomplete job. Needless to say I'll never go there again. read more

I hit a Pot hole and had a rear tire blowout, It took my wheel there to have it checked out, They said it was fine so they prorated my tire paid to have it replaced, I noticed a spot on my front tire, same side.. I took it to another shop where I purchased it and they told me my rim was bent. so, I pulled the wheel again that Tire Choice repaired and had Tire Choice spin it for me and it was bent.. They repaired a tire for me and put it on a bent rim and gave it back and said it was okay, This poor workmanship is very dangerous and this could have ended bad if I didn't catch this. I cancelled the 4 tires next day since it never arrives on time and I asked for refund. 15 days later, I still did not received my refund and keep claiming they did. Specifically made an appointment over the phone for a check engine light. The guy scheduled me and didn't say anything about diagnosis not being available on Sunday. When I come in for my appointment the lady at the desk says they only do diagnosis Tuesday through Saturday. Why would you waste my time driving over here on Sunday if you can't do diagnosis until Tuesday? You should advise the customer on the phone of the available options. If you use a call center, they should be aware of your stores hours so they can provide accurate information. read more

Went in to have a slow leak repaired. Got in right as they opened at 9:00am. The lady said it would be between 60-90 minutes. Went in at 10:30am and the lady said that a tech didn't show up for work so they only had one tech for the day. She refused to give me a new time estimate. I went back at both 11:30am and 12:30pm. Both times she just yelled at me that it's not ready yet. Nothing else. At 12:30pm I asked for a time estimate since my truck hadn't been touched in three and a half hours. Once again she refused to give me an estimate. When I asked for my keys she seemed relieved that I was leaving. I was in no way rude to her. I understand that she was put in a bad position but her actions just told me that I was a pain in the neck for her and she just wanted me to go away. read more

I am beyond impressed with the service I received here. They treat you not as a "customer" but as a unique person and address your needs in this manner. David really went out of his way to offer me appropriate and feasible options for my unfortunate second flat tire in six days. I was really in a bind financially having just purchased a new tire elsewhere for near $200! (that lasted two days!) and furthermore I called him from the side of the road and in a time crunch to get to work in a few hours and then make it over the Altamonte to home late at night. I was not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but David made it possible offering a no-charge evaluation and later by loaning me his personal spare tire while I haggled for refunds from the other company. Mike took care of us, we were out the door and on our way in under 2 hours! He even gave us a discount. I understand it's the holidays, but why should it take 7 hours to get an oil change and tire rotation? We brought in our car at 8:30 this morning, and as I'm typing this, it is 2:30, and we still do not have our car. They said our car would be next in line when I called. When I asked to be compensated, the woman on the phone was rude, stating they told my husband we'd have the car by 6:00 pm and that he agreed to it. SO WHAT?! He had to take an Uber home to wait, and they won't even compensate us for that, and we'll have to take one back as well. We were supposed to be with family in LA for Thanksgiving by 4 pm today...They RUINED OUR PLANS!! I got a Groupon for this oil change...This wasn't worth the discount. Guess you get what you pay for? A word to service staff: When a customer complains, have better customer service skills and be empathetic. This was absolutely ridiculous. Service is suspect: TIRE REPAIR, TIRE ROTATION AND OIL CHANGE. Beware and know the condition of your vehicle before bringing it in for service such as an oil change and tire rotation, especially if you are a female. I am new to the area, the customer service here was excellent at first. I had a punctured tire, due to a screw, that needed repair. As a courtesy, Tire Choice offered to repair it free of charge, however, I was told that the tire could not be repaired because the puncture was too close to the outer edge. I was given the option to purchase a new tire ($100), I declined and they put on the full size spare tire instead. My dad actually fixed my punctured tire. Pleased with customer service, I took my vehicle back for an oil change. When I picked up my vehicle, everything was great. They even rotated my tires, although I did not authorize this service. I thought that the tires must have needed to be rotated as they are the experts. About two weeks later, I had some other work done on the vehicle. Turns out they did not change my oil, they only changed the filter. The oil is still dirty. The tires were rotated and they did not need to be. They rotated the worn down treaded tires to the front. From my understanding those should have stayed in the rear. Anyways.. just check your vehicle before and after service. Good luck. read more

In December 2022 I had my front and back brakes completely replaced on my work van, (Rotors pads, rear drums with shoes, brake adjuster kit and master cylinder). In the same month I had to take it back in twice. (something came loose in rear drums.) In August 2023 had to bring back again. ( Break pedal almost hitting the floor) Their response was air was in the break lines. Two days later had to return. (Had very bad pulsating when applying breaks). Once again they replaced front rotors and pads. One week later pulsating returned and once again I brought my van to Tire Choice in Livermore. After having my van all day Mike asked if I could bring it back the following week so his main mechanic could look at it!! I took it to a different shop. They had to replace everything once again front and back. Said rear springs on adjuster kit were put on backwards and eventually fell off. Causing the breaks to fail. This was installed last December. Returned and talked to Mike (Maybe get something reimbursed?) His reply was other shop ripped me off and I should have brought it back in to him! I thought six times was more than enough!! (never again) Break on van has been working great ever since the other shop took over. read more
