Oddly, AC started working just 2 days prior to the long awaited appointment, which of course I still brought it in hoping for answers, was told to come back when it happens again.. thanks! as I waited a month and you told me to take a Clorox wipe to my panel so the buttons don't stick.. thanks anyhow. However, was told if it happened again, to come in so they could look at it right away while it was happening.. and I did, and I did, and I did ,and so on for 3 months! To sum in up, my Expedition went in 8 times for the same issue.. they replaced the same items multiple times supposedly, but did they?? I would be assured they drove my Expedition for hours without issues, mileage gage showed otherwise.. and I would get it home, drive to the other side of town and AC would stop again.. Note, they do NOT have courtesy home pick up and drop off anymore.. EVEN when it's 8 times! Do your math with Uber or be prepared to ride your bike! Either way, I can't tell you the BIG inconvenience these 8 trips cost me in many ways including clients to my own business! Ernesto was out the week my so called "pig tail" connector came in. I got very weird vibes and was told nobody knew where it was at the front desk, but the same mechanic, Gabe, said "We'll figure it out".. WTH? as I drop my car off for the same thing the 6th time??. Jumping to my biggest point.. During this time, my mom's Honda Odyssey had an alternator go out. I'm SO angry at myself for bringing another vehicle here with ALL of the issues with my Expedition and lack of trust already. It was her birthday late on a Friday afternoon. The battery light was on and off..and I considered just taking it to Carmax as is since we really don't need the extra car.. but I had so much trust in Peterson Automotive from the past.. WHAT happened?? My mom's alternator was ultimately fixed, but the AC didn't cool as it should after. I called (mind you they still had my Expedition and probably pretty tired of me after 3 months). I stated it was now "blowing warm air"... was told to bring it back in when I pick up the Expedition and was shown paperwork stating my Honda that needed an alternator was "blowing warm air" added to the bottom of paperwork that had been printed up already to the customer (me) without that info and then the mechanic, Gabe, himself got defensive and told me, "I told you".. when I'd never had a conversation with him previously except when dropping of my Expedition on the umpteenth time for the new pig tail connector (after 2 blower motors didn't do the trick). That extra line "blowing warm air" was clearly added after the fact.. why would you test the AC while doing the alternator? and the ink/writing looked different, and BTW, while I stated "blowing warm air", it wasn't in fact "warm", just not as cool as it should be, so super suspect that you altered paperwork GABE! Gabe also told me first there was a small leak, and then later as he got defensive said the whole AC compressor as leaking everywhere and needed replacing. After the issues with the Honda, I asked multiple times to speak to the owner Chris... MULTIPLE TIMES (I have dates) and was always sidelined.. finally Ernesto returned from having COVID and took care of the Expedition issues... at least I think so.. I appreciate Ernesto. I bought another car after 3 months of not having one working thanks to Peterson.. But still.. NEVER heard back from the owner after MULTIPLE requests. I've still only driven the Expedition maybe 6 times now since I bought a new car, but will NEVER return here again.. and I suspect the owner NEVER knew I asked to speak with him 6+ times.. sad, this place is all corporate now and forging documents to make us unimportant little people go away.. GABE! You should be fired!! But they supported you and I still haven't talked to the owner. Incidentally, I sold my Honda and the AC compressor is just fine.. it was a hose, likely from from fiddling around with the alternator... sold it to someone that fixes cars so I trust them. I don't trust Gabe or Peterson Automotive. Not what it used to be.

They were also able to deal with my tire lock without the key (my family has two of the same type of cars and the key was with the other car). They worked around the lock at one visit, and broke it off (with my permission) on another in order to get me back in the road in a timely fashion. The time when they worked around the lock was in 2024, and I paid about $45. The time when they had to break the lock was a year later and I paid about $75. I especially appreciate their professionalism and ability to not talk down to female customers, which sadly a lot of auto shops still do, even in 2025. Definitely recommend!

They had availability same day and it only cost me $30! I brought the car in around 3:30, waited in the waiting area, and the car was ready around 4pm. The mechanic even walked with me to my car to make sure the light was now off, that my damaged tire I requested back was in my trunk to return to Costco for a credit since it was under warranty, and that I had my wheel lock key back in my possession. 10/10 service, will definitely come back if I have any other tire issues!

I went in today to pick my car from Livermore Toyota and went to Bruce tires and got what I needed fix with Francisco for under a $100.00. Francisco help was a wonderful experience for me and he helped me by being professional, and showing me that I only need one sensor for my tire, not four like the salesperson Johnathan at Livermore Toyota tried to sell me for over $500.00 dollars. Which Livermore Toyota should have fixed for free like the painting of the bumper they did not fix when I bought the car like they promised. I think Tim the sales manager and Johnthan need to fire for their lying and rude practices. On the other hand, Pam who took over for Ken Tires has been professional for years and I do appreciate how they have taken care of me 13 years. Pam was not in and I spoke with Francisco when he answered the phone I was hesitant at first but Francisco spoke with me by phone and made me feel comfortable, he was so responsive and professional he made me feel like I should just take my car over there to Bruce Tires even though Pam was not at work. Best Decision I could have made. I feel like Bruce tries is living up to how Ken customer services have always been. Kudos to Francisco you made me feel safe in my car when I drove away. The curb jumped out at me, you know how curbs can be.. anyway, I popped my front tire and ended up waiting hours for a tow truck. To make matters worse, although the driver was cool, we had to pick up some more passengers on the way to bring my car from Castro Valley aaaaallllllll the way to Bruce's in Livermore. We didnt end up arriving until 15 minutes before they closed. Francisco was extremely cool and extremely professional. I was having a rough day, and he got me in and out in about 20 minutes and back to work. The last experience I had with tires was at American tires, and I had to show the teenagers working there how to change my own tires, so I was expecting a very slow process. But he was absolutely fantastic and saved my shitty day from being even shittier and made my morning this morning infinitely better by also getting me in and out this morning! 100/10 would absolutely recommend read more

First time customer turned lifetime customer. My family and I were forced to evacuate our house in Northern California due to the raging Kincade Fire, and my car was in dire need of brakes, tires, full service, alignment, and rack and pinion replacement, as soon as I entered Livermore, I headed right for Bruce's Tire, I was met by the friendly and sympathetic manager, Brandon Howard who assured me my car would be back to me in no time, he immediately walked me to my car, his cool demeanor instantly calmed me down, even after feeling the hysteria of evacuation. Brandon conversed with me while I waited, and did a fantastic job making me feel like my concerns were heard. Just had the best experience with Bruce's Tire. Francisco, the assistant manager, assisted me at the counter and was so helpful and quick to figure out a plan for my car, which was sitting on the side of Stanley Blvd. I had a tire blow out while driving first thing this morning and was panicked. I barely got my car to the nearest gas station and called Bruce's Tire at 7:30 am. He was so great and answered all my questions. He sent out Oscar to rescue me, who showed up within 30 minutes and was so knowledgeable. I immediately felt relieved and he got me back on the road in no time. I came back because I had such great service here. I don't know where Curt is but this place runs so much differently when he's not here for the WORSE!! I don't know this Brian guy..but the arrogance and lack of respect I have seen him portray to others is TERRIBLE!!!!! This is definitely not the shop it once was! I was driving into Livermore from Brentwood and ran over a screw on Vasco. Managed to get to a gas station, refill on some air, and went to Bruce's Tire. I spoke with Francisco Perez and he told me it looked like only a repair was needed and the process would be an hour turn around. So I went and had lunch and came back around 20 min later. There was my car in the lot, but turned around. Sure enough, it was ready to go. Super speedy and friendly, professional service. These guys are amazing! Super friendly, kind, and very welcoming. They took really good care of me and my cousin running on a flat tire. Shops close at 5pm near us and all where closed. We get to Bruces Tire shop at 5:30. I asked asked Andrew if he could help us fix the tire for us because we were commuting from the Bay to Stockton and we were still far. While driving from the Bay Area to Yosemite, I noticed that my tire pressure indicator turned ON. I had new tires just installed a week ago, and they all looked OK. I still decided to check if any of them were leaking, and stopped at Bruce's Tires, Livermore. Yesterday when leaving a construction area in Discovery Bay, I ended up with a large screw in my tire. I phoned Bruce's Tire to see if they could help me on my way back into San Jose. Francisco was fantastic. "Just bring it in and we'll help you." They had me back out the door in 20 minutes. Had a check engine light come on in a 2008 Chevy Van. Brandon looked at it, told me what the computer codes were (minor repairs) and noted some other issues requiring more extensive repairs. Didn't charge a thing for the inspection. We experienced friendly and knowledgeable service without the "hands out" attitude you get from a lot of mechanics. Called to ask about changing oil when my car hit 3,000 miles and the owner said no need it's really…read moregood oil that comes with your new manufactured engine. So waited to 6,000 miles and changed - oil so black that the mechanic said it hadn't been changed for a long time. So black- he started to look at the manufactured motor and said it's the same motor as the vehicle came with. Doesn't look like they replaced motor. Checking with owner of this shop to see. Also the cost for a new replacement refurbished motor is over $9,000 and a 100k warranty, rebuilt same motor just fixing head gasket is just over $6,000 and only 25,000 mile warranty . My current refurbished replacement motor has rough idle, engine light is on and can't reset engine light.
