I rarely write reviews but I feel compelled to write one for the Toppenish Les Scwhab crew. I read over some of the previous reviews and am sorry to hear about negative experiences. Our experience was nothing but positive (at least regarding the Les Schwab part of the story). My daughter was driving her Tesla Model 3 (the smallest, cheapest Tesla model), heading from Toppenish toward Goldendale on Washington state highway 97. She hit some road debris, blew out her front right tire, and had to get towed back to town. They left the car in the Les Schwab parking lot (it was a Sunday evening and all the repair shops were closed). She had to work the next day (in the Portland area), so I drove over and gave her my car, and I stayed in Toppenish to deal with her car. The next morning, we (the Les Schwab crew and I) discovered that both the wheel rim and the tire were damaged. It turns out that Tesla wheels and tires are unusual in that they are spec'd to bear heavy loads (Teslas weigh a lot because of their batteries). It also turns out that there weren't replacement wheels or tires or even an authorized Tesla service/repair facility anywhere on the entire eastside of the state, aside from Spokane (200 miles away). So we were in a pickle. JD, our Les Schwab service person, did find a wheel that was similar enough that it would have fit on the car and probably could have gotten me back to Portland. The estimate was in the $450+ range for wheel and tire. I called my daughter and we talked it over. She decided to buy a wheel and tire from a Portland-area Tesla dealership and then drive it over to Toppenish. JD (and his manager) both said it wouldn't be a problem putting them on the car and getting us on our way. The car sat in their shop for another several hours until my daughter got there. They put the new wheel and tire on the car, charged us about $50 for the service, and we were on our way. They lost out on a $450 sale but didn't hesitate to provide the help. They were great (the Tesla service availability? Not so much). It's great to see that the old-fashioned ethic of lending a helping hand is still a priority for some businesses and people. read more

Update 1/8/15 - Casey, You sent me an email to contact you. I responded a few days ago but I have not heard back from you. DId you want to help with the issue? or were you just posting a comment on Yelp to look like you care? I got a flat on my way to pdx and ended up buying 4 new all season tires for $650 from Les Schwab, Toppenish because they said that the flat tire could not be fixed and they did not have one tire to replace the flat one.These were brand new snow tires that I had just bought for $900 2 weeks ago. I took my flat tire back to Ellensburg Tire and they fixed the flat and mounted all my snow tires back for free. The only good thing that I can say for Les Schwab is they didn't charge me for putting on the donut and helping catch my flight. Les I am disappointed that Schwab saw that I was desperate to catch my flight and took advantage of the fact :( read more

I placed an order online and set an appointment for new wheels. However, I was told the wheels were not in stock anymore and that they tried to call me twice. I told them I don't have any missed calls on my phone and no voicemails. The manager repeated my number that he had in his computer and it was correct but I know they never called me. It wasn't off the phone log. I feel that their customer service could be improved in a few aspects. Their online services such as what they have in stock versus what they don't. Also, when I paid the person checking me out he charged me more than what was quoted and so I asked why there was a difference. He said on because we had to do this and we also had to do. . . Then another worker interrupted and said he didn't click on something and it fixed it to the quoted price. So this was good for me but at the same time it made think that if I didn't advocate for myself would I have paid more. What did work was my wheels look nice as the manager was able to get them from the town nearby but I did have to reschedule for the next day and I was from out of town so it delayed my travel plans. read more

I was a little disappointed that it took so long to get all my tires in they were asked to order all 4 and when we called because no one had called to let us know the tires were in they only had 2 and had to get 2 more. They did however call when the other 2 came in and changed my tires out on sat in a timely manor read more

While heading through the area on I-82, we had a tire fail on us. It lost air and developed a large side bubble. Got into Toppenish after 8PM and discovered I had left my lug nut lock key at home so I could not mount the spare. Looked on Yelp and saw the local Les Schwab would be open Saturday morning. So we spent the night in town and got to Schwab a little after 8:30AM. The fellow at the counter was very helpful. Told me about 3 tire options and helped me make a sound decision. Lug nut lock key? No problem. We were out of there before 10AM, back on the road and very happy with the Les Schwab store in Toppenish, WA! Thanks! read more

I just saved $516 on my car repairs by getting a second opionion. Turns out my car was fine after having it looked at by another mechanic. My only regret is that I already spent over 1000 on parts that were most likely fine. As im disabled that money came directly from my hospital fund so yea im pretty irked. I have had numerous issues with this store and will not be coming back or recommending this store for any particular reason. read more

I went in with a slow leak in one of my tires, and they fixed the leak and rotated my tires in about 45 minutes, all at no charge! It was. A great experience, and I will definitely go back to them in the future. read more
