The weather conditions were horrible...wind had the temperatures in the low teens and was incessant. We managed to limp into a gas station where our cars breakdown was complete. Two Sr's and their 14-year-old Golden Retriever are now on foot in the freezing cold on a Saturday afternoon! Now what? We searched for an auto repair shop and landed on AJ's Performance Automotive repair about 25 to 30 miles away in Ephrata WA. We called AJ's and I told him about our car issues, and he then informed me that they were closed for the weekend (as were all the stores and shops in the area with few exceptions) but he would get right on it first thing Monday. He then recommended Tow Pros Towing Services and said he would call them and send them out. He did and they were hooking up our car within 45 minutes and we were on our way to AJ's shop. Our amazing experience with Chris Bennett of Tow Pros is a separate review I will post shortly. Monday came and AJ was true to his word and had our car in and diagnosed with number 4-cylinder misfire. He pulled the spark plugs to find they were missing a tip on #4 and the other spark plugs needed replaced as well. So, he order the parts and basically performed a tune up...only to find the #4 cylinder was still missing when tested. So, he pulled the plug and snaked a scope down into cylinder to find #4 cylinder valve had a chunk taken out of it. Unfortunately, engine replacement or rebuilding was beyond the shops scope of services. AJ then generously remove the new parts and only charged me for the mechanic's time. Thank you, AJ, for your help, kindness and generosity and introducing us to Chris Bennett of Tow Pros. You are a true professional with integrity and honor. (Readers - Please see the Ephrata WA Tow Pros review for the rest of the story and especially if you need a tow, they are the ones to call!) Thank You Again AJ! Leonard & LaDonna Q.

Jim, the owner asked me if I would consent to having the serpentine belt replaced at the same time, as there would be no additional labor cost. He quoted me $24.95 and I agreed. A little over two hours later, the car was done, and I paid the bill, $235.39. On the way home, the car stalled a stop signs and when I stepped on the gas, the car would surge forward like a bullet being fired from a gun. After I got home, I decided to have a look under the hood to see if anything looked out of place. I noticed immediately that the serpentine belt was not new and most likely the same one that was on the car. They had charged me for a new one but had not installed it. I drove back to The Shop and Jim the owner as well as the mechanic were both in the office. I questioned Jim about why the new belt had not been installed on my car, after he had charged me for a new one. He turned and looked at the mechanic, but neither said anything, just looked guilty because they had been caught. Then the mechanic stated that he did not know the car was to have a new serpentine belt installed. I walked outside to show them the old belt on the car, and then the mechanic said, "my bad, I just forgot to put it on." This after previously stating that he didn't know the belt was supposed to be changed. They then installed the new belt on my car, taking only 15 minutes. As I was leaving I told Jim the owner that I believed the mechanic had deliberately not installed the new serpentine belt on my car, and that I believed it was done with his blessing or at his direction. He just had a guilty look on his face and said nothing. I would not recommend this repair shop for automobile repairs as I believe they are rip off artists and I believe they will cheat you if they can. Clarke Morris

After being picked up by the tow truck we were able to find the best rated mechanic shop, " The Shop" owner is Dan, we had to leave the vehicle for the night so we called Dan and left a message. The next morning which was labor day we received a phone call. It was Dan from the shop. We explained our dilemma and he told us to bring the keys to the vehicle to his shop and he would fix it, and that he did within 3 hours we were back on the road again!! Thanks Dan, you are the man. his quote , "If I can't fix it ...it is not broken"
