Everything started off fine. I came in with a gash on my upper driver side tire. I gave my key to the worker at the reception desk, and he came back a little while later letting me know that after their inspection they recommended I also get the upper passenger side tire replaced as well (which to me was expected). They gave me a quote for the one damaged tire as well as for the two front tires. I thought about it and decided to get the front 2 tires replaced together. As I'm about to purchase the 2 front tires, another worker comes out and says that I need all 4 tires replaced because they are all in poor shape due to me not getting my tires rotated regularly (the part about my lack of tire rotation is true). I asked him how the quote change from 1 tire to 2 tires to 4 tires in a matter of minutes after my car was already inspected and I didn't really get an answer. I felt like he was trying to up sale me by telling me all my tires were almost bald. The worker then says that it wasn't inspected properly at first and he could show me how bad it is. I declined the offer to show me because my thought was, if it's so visibly bad and in poor condition, then how was it missed during the first inspection. So, I took the quote, left the store and went to the Costco Tire Center in Vallejo to compare. I told them nothing aside from mentioning the gash on my front driver side tire and they went to inspect all my tires. They came back and said that the front 2 should be replaced (also mentioned the lack of tire rotation) but said my back tires were at about 70% and didn't need to be replaced. No mention of them being almost bald or in poor shape. So, a different tone from what Les Schwab said regarding my back 2 tires. Costco had no reason to tell me that my back tires were okay if they weren't. Then, Costco gave me a quote for the front 2 tires which was only about $30 more than what Les Schwab quoted me. I went with the Costco Tire Center and will likely never return to the Les Schwab in Vallejo on Sonoma Blvd. I would not recommend them either. Trust is a big deal to me especially when it comes to my car. I don't know cars very well, and don't want to be manipulated into getting more than I need (which has occurred before). If the dishonesty and up sale doesn't bother you, then you can give Les Schwab a try. I've heard good things, but I was so disappointed and frustrated by Les Schwab and felt like they were trying to take advantage, so it's a no for me. I will say, the first guy I spoke with and the second guy I almost made the purchase with were very kind. It was only the third guy who came off as dishonest. I came in today to have the guys fix a tire that had a screw in my tire. Then I found out there were 2 screws in the same tire! As always they took care of the problem and properly inflated all the tires and reset the tire pressure sensor. I waited for about an hour but the technician came out and suggested possibly replacing the set because it was near the tread end life and brought out a printout of a couple of estimates which I'm going to do soon. I also overheard one of the employees talking on the phone possibly to a vendor but his conversation was very respectful and professional. Something I haven't heard in a while but. Really wanted to patronize a local shop to support our community but sometimes, people make it impossible to do so. Made an appointment online last Monday, June 16, for today, June 23, to purchase FOUR wheels and have them installed. Called that same day to see if I get an earlier appointment. Spoke to Joe on the phone (friendly enough) and he checked on the tires and said the earliest he could get the tires was Thursday, June 19th. As I wouldn't be free then, I said I would keep the Monday appointment and he confirmed that he would order the tires right away. Fast forward to today: the day of our appointment. My husband leaves work early to make the appointment on time and when he gets there, they tell him 1.) they don't have the tires 2.) it's coming from out of state 3.) they don't know when they're coming. You think they'd be apologetic and want to keep our business, right? Welp, the best they could muster up was a "sorry" and moved on along. They even quoted us the wrong tires and a higher price, which were still unavailable. Why couldn't they have let us know waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of time that our tires were not available? Why did they wait to tell us when we got there and offered no alternative solution? Sigh. We went back to our original plan - America's Tire in Napa, and thankfully, they had our tires and installed them that same day. Unlike Le Schwab, Napa's America's Tire has a track record of being reliable with us. Whoever is running Le Schwab, I hope you are reading these one star reviews and will act urgently to get it whipped back to shape, especially in terms of customer service. Made appointment for brake service a week in advance by phone. Rep said he's ordering everything needed for brake repair. I arrive, on time, a week later where fill-in manager Joe informs me nothing had been ordered for appointment. Joe said this wasn't his shop. He was only helping out. Ok folks. Joe had nothing to do with the mess-up. He's only here to help out from another shop. He doesn't sugar coat things and had absolved himself from anything to do with wasting my time, effort and money in setting and showing up for my appointment to repair my brakes. So folks just so we're clear, if you're at the Vallejo location and need to address a problem, it's not on manager Joe's hands. Joe can not take the any ownership of anything that may go wrong. Your problem is not Joe's. He's just filling in, and this isn't even his location. Don't expect anything from manager Joe. Ok Joe, we got it. You are not the problem, and since we have no one to accept ownership of our problem(s) we will not expect any type of resolution. You're not even the manager of this shop location. Les Schwab has been my go-to for tires for a while. I popped my tire RIGHT before the Holiday season and was able to get an appointment for a few days later! The front desk was quick and helpful, my car was there for about a little over an hour (it usually takes a few hours depending on how many cars they are servicing) and I was back on the road same day. I researched all the tire options in the area. Les Schwab has a really good website and reservation system. The price was average and their reputation great. I arrived in my truck and immediately had the service person working on paperwork. My tire reservation was correct and the tires were on hold for me and in stock. The customer area is huge. There are several tables and a bar along the window. Coffee is out and it's ok. I needed to work while there, so the room was perfect. Clean and neat, no smells, and even the bathrooms were very clean. The service was great. Brakes checked out ok and they didn't try to hit me up for further work even though I thought the truck might need it. It did take 1.5 hours to install the tires. read more

I had a 4pm appointment today. I get there at 3:40pm because I was able to get off early from work, and they tell me that they don't have my tires. They had all day and the days before to call, but they didn't care enough to call me to let me know they didn't have my tires. Total waste of time. I drove all the way to Napa's Americas tires and they took care of me. I initially cancelled my appointment with Napa because I wanted to give Les Schwab. These people don't bother to clean their hands when they are fingering fabric in your car. Thanks for making black smudges on my mom's light car fabric. We know it's that grease. Ugh. Disgusting. Secondly, they didn't bother to examine my mom's tires for the leak until she asked them to refill her tires with air and also the desk guy didn't know whether they looked at her car or not asking her if they did their job or not. She said why are you asking me, shouldn't you know. Luckily you can talk to the team directly. I swear these counter middle people are such a waste of space sometimes. Sure you are not directly working on the cars but have some knowledge to communicate properly if you are to be the middle person for customer and mechanic. Great staff and service. Came in with a nail in my tire with no appointment. They took me right in and had it fixed in 45 mins. At the end, didn't charge me and just asked that I consider them when I need new tires. That's the way to do business. I'm going to Les Schwab next time I need new tires for sure. read more

I have never been met with an attitude and have been taken care of each time. I have had some shops say they won't work teslas for whatever reason, and they immediately squeezed me in to fix my tire. I needed to replace a tire on my 2023 Mercedes that had gone flat(not fixable).The tires were run flat tires on my Mercedes and they sold me a non run flat tire to replace it which is a certain big no no and they did not tell me it was until the next day. I took it back the next day and got them to replace it with right tire but the manager argued me with me that I did not have run flats on my Mercedes even though they all had SSR designations(which means run flat).Very disappointing and unprofessional-buyer beware as I would look elsewhere for a professional tire shop to go to for my tire products and service .Randy R. read more

Several years of experiences: After many mishaps with this location I've finally decided today was the day to write a review. They've lost my tires even thought they wrote "SAVE SAVE SAVE" on them, forgot to balance my tires requiring my to come back to have it done again and wait again. They've had me come in and then sent me home after waiting an hour because they didn't have time to mount and balance my tires after they told me they could. they've also scratched my wheels and tried to lie about it, thankfully I always take pictures before dropping wheels off. I've had so many problems with this location that I became friends with the old managers. I don't know how many times I've had to come back and how much time I've wasted driving back and forth or waiting for extended periods of time because they can't manage their appointments correctly. Having spent hours and hours in their waiting room I've also witnessed others having bad experiences here too. Today I brought one of my trucks in to have the alignment done, I was told the total would be a standard $120 alignment. later I got a phone call saying it would be an additional hourly charge to add shims for the camber adjustment. First of all they should've know the type of suspension when I told them the vehicle info and I should have been told up front, and since when do they start charging to add shims for camber? Most older vehciles used shims for camber, now these cry babies want more money when they have to do something harder than turn a bolt to adjust the alignment. I called around to find another alignment shop that includes the shims with their alignments. Before picking up my vehicle I called the manager Joe to see if there's anything he could do and to explain why I'm being charged $130+ more for a standard alignment, the only useful information he said was they started charging extra for shims about a year and a half ago. (Ok then why wasn't I told this when I dropped my truck off?) Joe also said it takes 3 hours to do the shims in one sentence, the following sentence he said it takes about an hour and a half, i said you just finishing saying it takes 3 hours!? It's literally two nuts you loosen and you slide the shim in place and tighten. Plus the alignment guy said he was only doing one side to make it match the other. It didn't seem like he knew what he was talking about, he tried to make it seem like I didn't know the difference on which suspensions require shims or not, he started naming off the cars that I've brought in under my profile pointing out they don't require shims so that's why I haven't had to pay extra, Joe being the new manager not knowing that I buy, restore, and sell cars as a hobby and own 12 personal vehicles of my own that are under a different profile name, and have a fleet of vehicles for my business under another profile, I thought to myself this conversation isn't going anywhere and it's not worth explaining anything else so I ended it by saying I'm coming to pick up my truck. I gave this location several chances over the years, it wasn't just this manager or these employees because I'm pretty sure none of the original people are even there anymore besides the lady behind the desk. About a year ago I purchased a new set of Continental tires for my truck. I drive a lot of miles. I'm also hard on my vehicle and the tires feel it. This brand came with a 60k warranty. I wore them out in 36k miles. I went through a big production of this and that and when I was done the manager Shilo gave his answer. with a smile he said that I would only pay for the miles on the tires and a new set would installed. Brought my 2005 Beetle for rear brakes.....through out the day , they never initiated a call. I called to get a quote, and at the end of the day, to see if it was done....they quoted a few things , I said thanks , but I only needed the rear brakess for now. We were heading down to the Bay Area from Truckee with a trailer in tow to grab some oak rounds. The night before we left the front brakes started making metal on metal noises. We called at 8am on our way down and spoke to Shilo about our dilemma. We asked if he could order the parts needed for a front brake job and we would see him in two hours. Been having problems with the air in my tires for awhile, and I have been getting it checked and patched in the Les Schwab at Martinez. Today, I decided to stop by the Les Schwab here at Vallejo because I was staying with family in Fairfield. I walked in and the person at the register at first was CJ. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there and the first impression of him wasn't a good one. After telling him about my tire leaking air, he just said "Keys?". And I was thrown off. He didn't tell me there was a cost, I had to ask and he said there was no charge. He didn't tell me how long it was going to take, he just said "Keys?" And left. It took about an hour and 15 minutes, which was a lot longer than I was expecting. They have patched my tires up at Martinez in less than 30 minutes so I guess the service is definitely different. I would have given this place 2 stars if it wasn't for the guy who gave me my keys back. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name but I know it started with a "W". He was very friendly, told me what the problem was and what he did to fix it. He also pumped airs on all my tires to 35 PSI so that it was all evened out. So it was all much appreciated. read more
