Hair wash & style services with hair extensions for purchase, The Notebook playing on a screen, and a full service bar -- all in proper preparation for a BTS concert at Allegiant stadium -- an absolute Vegas vacay dream day for me (: I opted for an Extended blowout - comes with a hair wash, head massage, and styling. My appt took less than 90min overall - shorter than I expected (online says 90min or more) but overall everything turned out great. I hv hair down to my hips and genuinely needed a self care moment after traversing the hot desert. I brought my own hair extensions with me - also a first timer with these - and only paid attention to color matching... Meleny, my stylist, kept it real w/ me. My hair is apparently 24-26 inches long. The extensions...were only 10-12 inches...oops! She insisted my hair would be great without them but I wasn't about to hv hair extensions stuffed in my bag at stadium security. So, Meleny graciously did her magic and made it work! . If you have a reason & the means, I highly recommend visiting the Drybar for your next event! I'm already booking my next appt at their Kaka'ako location. cheers (:

There was no explanation as to why there was a long wait (just that there was a wait). They also didn't offer to discount the service or comp a drink or anything. There was another customer going off on them for the long wait (our wait was longer- but her screaming did get her seen so maybe we should've tried that). Because I booked for 2 people at the same time I assumed we would have our services in tandem or the very least sit next to each other, but by the time I started my friend was finishing up. During my hair wash, I was getting splashed with water. The temperature also went from super cold to warm. No towel was wrapped around my shoulders to prevent the splash back. The blowout was fine- they did use a lot of product though.

Well, when my friend received the confirmation email, it had one of us scheduled at 3:00 and the other scheduled at 4:00. We had to call again to get both of us scheduled at the same time. When we went in on NYE, the place was packed! There was a dj playing music off to the side creating a loud, club-like atmosphere. To the left of the salon area, there was a bar area to purchase cocktails if we chose. When it was time for my appointment, I selected The Cosmo..Shampoo, blow out, and loose curls. All of their styles are named after cocktails. Fun! In the styling area, they had tvs playing Christmas movies and the dj's music in the background. My hair turned out beautifully, however, my curls did not hold throughout the entire evening. My Cosmo blow out cost $59 dollars before tip which was a bit more reasonable than other locations my friend and I had been searching. Overall, we had a good experience and would go to Drybar again in the future.

I was attending a National award gala and felt sleek and sophisticated when called to accept my awards. The pictures speak for themselves.! I am 48 years old and felt age appropriate while also feeling a little edgy and glamorous. Here is what they each did: TIA made my eyes fierce and sparkly since I would be wearing a mask for most of the night. She knew that I would need a big WOW with my dress and she delivered. She had great recommendations and took my age and dress into consideration when making suggestions (all of which were spot on!). Strangers stopped me in Vegas to comment on how amazing I looked!!!! JESSICA listened to what I was suggesting for hair but went a step further and asked if I would be open to something else as a comparison for 2 different looks. My go-to is big, teased Texas hair and she said it would be great but that with my sleek dress and naturally straight hair I could pull of something dramatic. She was SO RIGHT! I went for a sleek style that got so many compliments and made the already amazing makeup sparkle. Jessica created a hair style that was the talk of the night! She is a gem of a stylist! This was affordable service (they even came to my hotel) and made my special night even better than it already was!

I received so many compliments and it lasted me all night and on to the next morning. I'm sitting on a plane to go back home right now and i still have volume and a wave. You get so much for your money with them. $60 for a fantastic blow out/hairdo. You dont have to worry about leaving the comfort of your hotel, get a taxi and battle the heat. I did two trials with Elizabeth prior to my wedding day as I can be very particular with how my makeup is done- but Elizabeth did a great job with taking notes and making sure everything was done exactly how I liked it. On the actual day of the wedding, she went above and beyond to make sure I liked every little detail. I felt like an absolute princess and she also did a great job of keeping me calm and relaxed! I had a very disappointing experience with Bonnie (Owner) and feel it's important to share this feedback so others can make an informed decision -- especially brides. Before booking, I specifically asked Bonnie whether she had experience working with Black skin. She confirmed that she did. Unfortunately, once she began working, it became clear that this was not the case. Her technique and product choices did not reflect any real familiarity with deeper skin tones, I even gave her my own foundation but that didn't help and we were ultimately left to do our own makeup. What concerns me most is not the skill gap itself, every artist has limitations, but the lack of honesty when asked directly. Misrepresenting your experience to a client is a serious breach of trust, particularly in the beauty industry where your work is tied to someone's most meaningful moments. I also noticed that other makeup artists present did not appear to recognize Bonnie as part of the local Vegas makeup community, which raised further red flags. We were fortunate to be members of the bridal party and not the bride herself otherwise she could have really ruined someone's special day. Bonnie please be transparent about your experience level with diverse skin tones. Honesty and transparency should be the foundation of any client relationship.

It was convenient since I was staying at the Venetian and online booking was very easy. Getting to the spa area is a little bit of a trek, I should've know this being Vegas and would recommend leaving at least 30 min before your appointment to find it. Once I got to the front desk, I was surprised to see a cafe and a climbing wall. BUT after you check in, you arent at the spa yet, you need to walk more. I encountered 2 more reception desks before I arrived. First off, the locker rooms were large and provide nice amenities such as hair brushes and robes. The spa area itself is rather large and I got lost a few times down the many hallways. There are really nice relaxing areas that are hidden in a sense and the availability of tea, water and snacks made it all the more pleasant. What I do regret is not having more time to spend there and use the sauna/steam room/spa. The main event was the massage. While I did feel a little rushed (which was my fault) and they appeared very busy, my massage tech was very friendly and attentive. The massage room was nice enough but I expected something more elevated considering it's in the Venetian. The massage itself was slightly different than what I was used to and reminded me more of a reiki session. Don't get me wrong, I felt great afterwards. If I do return I would carve out at least a few hours to spend there and take full advantage of all the amenities.
