The dye left visible staining along my hairline, temples/sideburn area, and behind my ears, which I wasn't informed about until after everything was done and I saw it in the mirror. The stylist did try to remove it, but it didn't come off easily, so I left with noticeable staining on my skin. I understand that things can happen, especially with different products, but I do wish there had been more communication in the moment and a more thorough final check/cleanup before I left the salon, especially since the staining was visible in multiple areas. Unfortunately, I'm not very comfortable waiting for it to fade on its own, and I'm also not inclined to return for a future service. Overall, I think this place has a lot going for it, but I hope they can improve the finishing process and post-service support so clients don't leave with unexpected issues. I understand that staining can sometimes happen, but my concern was more around the visibility in multiple areas and that it wasn't fully addressed before I left. My "senior stylist," Evelyn, wasn't available until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During that wait, I was offered water once, but I repeatedly had to ask how much longer it would be because the staff kept saying "soon" without giving me any actual estimate. When the appointment finally started, I showed Evelyn a reference photo and clearly explained my daily hair routine. I told her I don't use styling products, don't heat style my hair, and simply wash it and let it air dry. Instead of cutting my hair to suit that lifestyle, she used texturizing products and spent a significant amount of time styling it. I even mentioned that I would never recreate that styling at home because it isn't part of my routine. The finished haircut looked nothing like the reference photo. At the time, the heavy styling disguised just how bad the cut actually was. The salon gave me a $20 new-client discount, and I specifically told them to apply that amount toward the stylist's tip. Instead, they processed a separate $21.18 tip. While it's not the biggest issue in this experience, it was not what I authorized. The real disaster became apparent after I washed my hair at home. The styling products had been hiding an incredibly poor haircut. The layers are uneven and completely unblended. There are obvious chunks of hair missing, and the entire cut sits lopsided. It is nothing like what I requested or what I was shown in the mirror after it had been heavily styled. I'm now left with a haircut that is genuinely embarrassing to wear and will likely require another stylist to spend months correcting. Between the excessive wait, poor communication, unauthorized tip charge, and one of the worst haircuts I've ever received, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I absolutely cannot recommend this salon.

The interior really is very cool, great to have a true barbershop feel to enjoy rather than the bland and clinical interiors of most modern chains or shops. It's fun looking at all the decor, including some of the more fun items on display, it all just adds to the overall experience. It's also reasonably priced, though be aware this is a cash only establishment, so no cards, but they do have an ATM. Overall, Good Times Barbershop lives up to its name. It is always a great experience coming here and I highly recommend this business.

I have been looking for a place like this for years and have finally found it! I had my make-up done on New Year's Eve 2017 and it was the best birthday gift to myself! I looked the prettiest I've ever looked in my life! My artist was on point and knew exactly what to do and what I wanted. She didnt have to go back and fix anything, it was perfect! I have been looking for a place like this for a very long time. Now I will use beGlammed for every single event I go to and even if its not an event, that's how good they are. I wish I could have her come everyday! People commented my make-up all night and my friends were in total shock, they even asked who did it so they could get theirs done the next time. One of their staff members sold me a counterfeit item. She refuses to return my money and She sells fake makeup. I don't understand why they would have a fraud working amongst them. After doing research, I booked LV Hair and Makeup about 2.5 weeks prior to the wedding. I sent in an inquiry through their website. I received an email back from Laura. She is the main point of contact when it came to the pricing, booking, and confirming. Their website is detailed with prices and packages. I booked an Elite Hair & Makeup package for the three of us. It cost $219 per person. Upgrades are an additional cost (ex: airbrush makeup $35, eyelashes $10, rhinestones $10, hair extensions $10, updos $10, Hollywood waves $10). Since they're mobile, they charge a travel fee of $20 for each artist. A deposit is required before you get a confirmation. Deposits are non-refundable. They take payments through PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. The remaining balance will be paid after the services. Although Laura had many grammatical errors and may seem all over the place, she was very responsive. She sent me a detailed breakdown of each charge. After sending her a deposit, she sent me a confirmation of my appointment date, time, and location. The day before the services, the hair and makeup artists contacted me for reference photos to get an idea of what we wanted. I sent them a few images I found online. Karina and Liss arrived on time on the day of the appointment. They came extremely prepared with their own lighting and products. Both artists were gentle and patient. Karina did an amazing job with our makeup. I asked for a full glam for my mother and I. I wanted a warm eyeshadow, cut crease, gold shimmer, contour, and baking. Took it back to the 2018 makeup era. I asked for the same makeup style for my mother, but she wanted her outer and inner corners smoked out with a shimmer in the middle. My sister went for a soft glam and a smokey eyeshadow look. We absolutely loved our makeup and appreciated how well it stayed on for 12+ hours! Liss did a beautiful job with our hair. I sent her images of the hairstyles my mother and sister wanted, and she did exactly that. My sister wanted curls and a braid around her crown. My mother wanted her hair curled and half of it pinned in the back. I was the only one that did not have a reference photo, simply because I couldn't find what I wanted. I explained with as much detail as possible about the hairstyle I wanted. I wanted braids on the side of my head, majority of my hair slicked to one side, volume on the top, and curls. Even without a reference photo, Liss was able to bring my vision to life! She used a lot of hairspray, so our curls stuck throughout the night. Since I was doing the commute from LA to LV, I wanted to destress with a blow out. I chose the Artistry based on their proximity to my hotel and their fantastic Yelp reviews. While the confirmation email mentions the hotel (The Westgate), no other information was provided. When I arrived at the hotel I didn't see the salon listed on any of the signage at the Westgate, nor did the hotel's concierge know of this business. Finally I visited their website and noticed that '3rd floor' was stated at the bottom of their webpage. When I made it to the third floor, there sat the Serenity Spa? The only reason I thought this was mislabeled was because I had seen photos on their Yelp page that showed the same windows. I no joke had to do detective work to find this biz. I showed up to my appointment barely on time (despite arriving to the hotel 30min early) and incredibly stressed, especially since they have a strict refund policy. I'm assuming that the salon is largely meant for hotel guests who see the space and book while visiting the pool. I just wish they made it easier for those of us staying offsite.

I hv hair down to my hips and genuinely needed a self care moment after traversing the hot desert. I brought my own hair extensions with me - also a first timer with these - and only paid attention to color matching... Meleny, my stylist, kept it real w/ me. My hair is apparently 24-26 inches long. The extensions...were only 10-12 inches...oops! She insisted my hair would be great without them but I wasn't about to hv hair extensions stuffed in my bag at stadium security. So, Meleny graciously did her magic and made it work! . If you have a reason & the means, I highly recommend visiting the Drybar for your next event! I'm already booking my next appt at their Kaka'ako location. cheers (:

I booked a blowout for my friend and I at 5:45pm and my friend was seen at 6:30pm and I was seen at…read more7pm. There was no explanation as to why there was a long wait (just that there was a wait). They also didn't offer to discount the service or comp a drink or anything. There was another customer going off on them for the long wait (our wait was longer- but her screaming did get her seen so maybe we should've tried that). Because I booked for 2 people at the same time I assumed we would have our services in tandem or the very least sit next to each other, but by the time I started my friend was finishing up. During my hair wash, I was getting splashed with water. The temperature also went from super cold to warm. No towel was wrapped around my shoulders to prevent the splash back. The blowout was fine- they did use a lot of product though.

My friend and I wanted fun blow outs for NYE. We went to Drybar several days before to book our…read moreappointments. We were both scheduled at 3:00 pm on NYE. Great! Well, when my friend received the confirmation email, it had one of us scheduled at 3:00 and the other scheduled at 4:00. We had to call again to get both of us scheduled at the same time. When we went in on NYE, the place was packed! There was a dj playing music off to the side creating a loud, club-like atmosphere. To the left of the salon area, there was a bar area to purchase cocktails if we chose. When it was time for my appointment, I selected The Cosmo..Shampoo, blow out, and loose curls. All of their styles are named after cocktails. Fun! In the styling area, they had tvs playing Christmas movies and the dj's music in the background. My hair turned out beautifully, however, my curls did not hold throughout the entire evening. My Cosmo blow out cost $59 dollars before tip which was a bit more reasonable than other locations my friend and I had been searching. Overall, we had a good experience and would go to Drybar again in the future.
