To be completely clear: my stylist did not consult with me even once about what I wanted my hair to look like. This includes tone - my hair is not even the correct color. The only person I spoke to about my hair goals was the assistant, not the stylist. At one point, I even had to ask the assistant whether I would be getting a root smudge (I've been getting my hair done for 15 years and am familiar with what is typically involved in my services), because again, the stylist did not communicate with me at all about my preferences. The stylist blow-dried a single section of my hair and then did not return. After that first section, the next and last time I saw her was as I was walking out of the salon, while she was actively blow-drying another client's hair. Because of this, there is no possible way she could have done a "final check," assessed breakage, or evaluated the overall condition of my hair as suggested in the response. While the stylist did eventually call to apologize (which is the bare minimum), I did not hear from the salon itself. If they truly cared about hearing/fixing my experience, I would have heard directly from them. I will not be returning to this salon or this stylist. Why would I return to a place where I felt disrespected, rushed, unheard, and where my hair was damaged? I also want to clarify that I have no issue with a stylist working alongside an assistant. In fact, I mentioned in my original review that the assistant was very sweet. My issue is with a stylist who does not communicate with me at all, is dismissive and rude, and is so overbooked that she is barely present for the service I was paying for. I did not include this originally, but the stylist was also extremely rude to the assistant, so much so that I considered stepping in because of how poorly she was speaking to her. Overall, the fact that the owner chose to respond with inaccuracies instead of genuinely addressing the issues raised is very reflective of this business.

I am biased! Having been a client of Jessica's for about 10 years to see her open her own salon…read morehas been amazing to see. Ok now that is out of the way on to the salon and service. The salon is a very clean, minimal but pretty aesthetic. Everything is light metal accents, white and airy. It is so pretty inside. The chairs you sit in are super comfortable. I forget I am even in a salon chair while sitting in them. It was one of the first things I noticed. There is a refreshment bar with coffee, water with fruit in it, snacks and they have other drinks they offer (like sparkling water) that are not kept in the front. The robes are easy to put on (some salons have robes with all these ties and loops it is impossible to get them on properly) and cute hangers to hang a jacket or shirt on if needed. There is plenty of natural light so you can see what your hair is going to look like as it is being done. No need for a big reveal at the end in "good or natural light." There is also a small parking lot that I have never had issues finding parking in on the 4 occasions I have been here. The shampoo chairs are also comfy. They recline back and do not hurt your neck. They have a poof underneath to put your feet on (I wish it had a traditional foot stool/rest but that is only because of my old lady bones). Jessica and her co-owner Chelsea are so kind and I am lucky enough to know some of the other stylists in the salon (and have also had my hair done by them) and they are all super friendly and passionate about hair and you loving your hair and getting what you need/want. No upselling or product forced upon you but if you need product they carry 2 amazing lines (Milbon and El3ven. They smell great and make your hair look amazing! (I have not purchased the products, I just know from them being used on my hair in the salon). If you are looking for a relaxed hair experience you can't go wrong with any of the stylists here.

I came to Andrea because she had great reviews on here, especially for short hair. I recently moved to the area and unfortunately, the first hairdresser I tried (different salon) gave me a terrible haircut. I was so upset, and worried about losing even more length and having to take a gamble on another new hairdresser. But man, am I grateful to have found Andrea! She listened to me, was empathetic and asked me clarifying questions about what I wanted. And then she got to work. I can hardly believe how wonderfully it turned out! She took a nightmare canvas and turned it into a masterpiece. Not only does it look great, but it *feels* great. She shaped it perfectly, working with my ornery cowlicks and all. She really took her time to make sure everything was balanced just right, and then she only charged me for a cleanup haircut as opposed to a full haircut, even though I'm pretty sure it was just as much work, if not more, having to start with the other hairdresser's mess of a cut.
