I reached out to Jamie 5 years ago at random when I needed someone to do my Brazilian Blowout when my go-to girl was pregnant and unable. We hit it off right away and became pretty close friends rather quickly after that. Jamie makes a great effort to really hear you out/get a good understanding of your vision and needs. She's willing to work with you in whatever direction you may be heading. I personally like minimal product/nothing extreme and i always leave from our appointments still feeling a whole change/refreshed from the inside out. Sometimes im wanting to be extra chatty while other times i literally ask her for a good healing, deep conditioning treatment, telling her Ive been stressed and just need some calming zen time and she works with me. She has even started offering breathwork and/or reiki at our appointments and it's a nice touch if you're interested. I actually chose to do two breathwork sessions with her at my own home and it was an incredible experience overall. I recommend everyone schedule with Jamie and give her a chance because as I said at the beginning, she's become a close friend to me on my ever changing journey through highs and lows and at least I can always say my hair will be taken care of. 10/10! read more

I love getting my haircuts here from Valerie! The salon itself is very bright with natural sunlight flooding in, very airy and relaxing (not stuffy/nor super fancy in a nervous way). Most importantly, Val's haircuts are always absolutely fabulous. I have straight, mid-length/long hair (aka boring lol). Val is very talented at understanding what you want, working with your hair texture/face shape/and head shape. She's able to seamlessly blend what you asked for and make it even better - after a Val haircut, all of a sudden my hair has style!! I actually receive daily compliments on my hair, haha. I'm also extra happy that the haircut always grows out nicely as I have to be mindful about how often I am able to go (personal budget-wise). After a few bad trips to mall salons, I was ready for a more polished look but didn't want to break the bank. (What is it with all the extra charges for long hair?! A little extra shampoo and blow drying shouldn't cost more than a month's property taxes, right???!) So I asked around and a colleague with fabulous hair recommended Stacy at Salon Mint and I decided to trust her with my long locks. Stacy is definitely the real deal! She's kept my hair in great shape the past two years and we've done all kinds of looks: highlighs, lowlights, long, somewhat shorter and she even did a retro 40s glam updo for my wedding which looked super authentic and held up to the rigors of a windy day and dancing till midnight! The salon itself is bright, cheery and clean. The only parking option is street parking which can be a bit of a bother, but it's usually easy to find a spot if you don't mind a few extra steps. Stacy's prices are also reasonable and affordable even with my non-profit job. No champagne or wine upon arrival, but the casual beachy atmosphere, hipster music and clean atmosphere make for a fun girl's salon day. read more

Today I got the Floricide Acid Peel facial by Cory, the salon owner. The salon is adorable and inviting.. The treatment room is great, complete with a super comfy chaise/chair with heat, blankets, bolster pillow for under the knees, etc. Before the treatment, Cory asked me relevant questions about my skin and products I currently use. She then suggested the appropriate facial and a few minutes later iI was in facial bliss-land. Cory explained what she was doing as she worked. Just had a fantastic facial with Cory. She has a nurturing firm touch that many aestheticians lack. I've had plenty of facials that feel like the person is just applying product and then wiping it off, this was not the case with Cory! She also took extra time to make sure all the product was wiped off my face before sending me out to the world. I've had other aestheticians hastily wipe off my face and send me out with gunk on the side of my nose or in my hair. I also appreciated that there was no pushy sales tactics at the end. I first started going to Salon Mint a couple of years ago because my hair was fried and way too blonde after going to another salon for highlights (for too long, obviously). Stacy and I talked about my goal for my hair style and color and then she did exactly what I wanted. Something I never, ever expected was healthy-looking, shiny hair as a BONUS, but somehow Stacy has given it to me. I am SO happy with the condition and look of my hair now.
