I cannot express how much I love Jorge's work and what he does to my hair to make me blonde and look like a whole new person. His work truly shows in the time that goes into the consultation to make sure I get what I want. My roots were extremely grown out, the ends were dry, and the color was brassy. Jorge did his thing and brought my hair back to life! I'm totally comfortable at this salon as I wouldn't normally go to one in downtown. They make sure the door is locked for safety reasons. Downtown is hectic for parking but there are spots across the street and nearby to park for free like I did so. It's really cute and has great lighting inside for taking pictures of your new hair! I hadn't colored my hair in almost two years, just a few trims while letting it grow out. I previously had a balayage that I later dyed black to return to my natural color. Over time, the black faded and the old balayage started to peek through, so I decided it was time for a subtle change. I was aiming for soft brown highlights to even everything out and add dimension. Needed someone to do my hair in San Diego and decided to go with Jorge. My hair was over bleached and chemically cut with black dye when I initially came in July. if you go to this salon PLEASE go to Sierra! I seriously trust her and her assistant Kameron with my entire life. Sierra has been my hair stylist for almost 2 years and every time I book an appointment I NEVER have to worry if I won't like my hair. She knows exactly what she's doing & even if i'm unsure of what I want my hair to look like, she always takes care of it/you & knows what's the best and most fitting for your personal style/hair color! I could seriously go on and on, but she is all around AMAZINGGG The salon is also so so cute, very clean, open with lots of outdoor lighting, and has a comfortable vibe for you to not have to worry about a thing! The only thing that isn't my favorite is finding parking, but that's normal because of the area, so definitely plan ahead to get a good spot ! read more

I am never one to write a bad review, but have had such a bad experience Im writing to let you know about the poor service I received from Taylor. Ive been seeing Taylor the past year and she definitely needs more training, both with her professionalism and technique. Ever since Taylor put in my hair extensions it's been nothing but trouble. Since the first month I had them they started falling out and every time I asked to get them fixed it'd take weeks for Taylor to find time to put me into her schedule (it only takes 30 min) and she'd act like it was a huge inconvenience to her + I'd get charged an additional $175 on top of the $1500+ I've spent on the hair itself, cut and color. The hair would be hanging and Id be extremely uncomfortable finding ways to cover it up or pin it down, and I'd just have to wait until she could fit me in as she only works a few days a week and lives over an hour from the salon. At one point I even cut out my first set of extensions out myself and then had to buy a whole new set for an additional $1200. I am fine spending this money if the extensions stayed in but the fact they continuously came out and she was so difficult to work with made it really inconvenient. She needs to work at a salon where she has the time to actually service her clients. She is okay at coloring, but if you give her any feedback she becomes defensive and it's really uncomfortable. I am not sure if I'm her first complaint but thought I'd share the message. read more

Taylor is the best in the business!! I found her a little over 3 years ago and now refuse to go anywhere else to do my color and extensions. I always love how my hair looks immediately after an appointment, and love how it grows out -- you would never be able to tell I had extensions put in. She's a magician! I never write reviews, but need to share my experience. I was so excited to get my hair done with Jorge seeing the reviews on his work, but I am disappointed with the outcome of my hair. We initially scheduled well in advanced with my hopes to go a lighter brown shade and confirming we can try to achieve something similar. An hour before my session he messaged me and he advised we may not be able to get my hair light brown as planned due to the color of my hair. This threw me out of the loop of what I was expecting, but when I arrived to the appointment I trusted his expert opinion. We had to discuss a last minute plan for my hair and discussed to go copper (because he mentioned going copper will bring me closer to eventually reach the light brown shade I initially wanted down the line). I requested a shadow root to have my hair grow out more seamless and "blonde" front parts (confirming this was possible). My hair color prior to getting this done was already grown out and I left the chair looking like it's still grown out and with a bunch of different colors in my hair. After 4.5 hours for this session I was running late to personal plans and had to leave immediately after, not satisfied with my hair. I later reached out to Jorge the next day expressing my feelings on my hair and not liking the outcome. We tried coming up with a solution where he understood where I was coming from but mentioned he would still charge me to fix it even though it wasn't what I initially wanted and was unsatisfied. In the end I'm just very disappointed with the situation and outcome of my hair, and personally feel insecure on how it looks. read more
