You can bring in a sample of your hot tub or pool water, they will test it and then provide any chemicals you'll need (with a detailed list of what to put in, how much and when). You can get test strips which will tell you what to adjust going forwards, but you can also bring your samples back as often as you want to get a new print out. The pump to my 89 year old father's pool stopped working so we called for service. Window was 8a-12p. Evan arrived at 1015a. Very pleasant gentleman. He took a look at the situation and luckily it was a simple fix. He advised what needed to be done and I asked him how much we owe. He refused to take any payment or tip as he said it was such a minor issue. That kind gesture of what he considered minor had a major effect on us. My Pool Pump timer was not working properly, going on/off at weird times and the Pump Display would go completely off making it impossible to reprogram. After 2 weeks of this, I had Leslie's pool Service come out. Ricky, the Tech, assessed it and fixed it. It was more than a reprograming issue. He fixed it so the display stays on allowing me to turn it on for a late Spa anytime, and the time is working properly. This was an issue my electrician could not solve, but RICKY did solve it. Just started using Leslie's Pool Supply on Balboa Ave, so not enough exposure yet to give them 5 stars. If their outstanding customer service continue's, however, they'll easily earn 5 stars. Nicole is extremely patient, and readily shares her knowledge. Mark does, as well. If you bring in a water sample, their system analyzes it and prints out a status report broken down into multiple categories. The report includes how to clean up any problems within each category. Very helpful. We're relatively new pool owners, and are confident Leslie's will have us up to speed in no time. Full disclosure, we've used only one other unnamed pool supply/service store. We had a pool constructed this year. It took forever with COVID related delays and supply issues. By our understanding we were going to have to purchase a vacuum and found one we liked at Leslies. We purchased it and hit another delay. The plumbers couldn't get the correct fittings, and we went into a hold until the could get a segment. To cut this tale to a reasonable length, we finally got everything finished and the setup kit was delivered. It did include a Pentair vacuum so now we had two. I phoned and talked to Alan, explaining the situation. Standard return is 30 days so he could have said no, but he said if I was willing to bring it back; if unopened, he would refund us. We had stored it in the garage, unopened and when he inspected it he was true to his word. Leslies with that has a lock on our business. Add to that the person taking care of setup specifically mentioned them for helping us keep our pool in working condition, I feel even better. Hands down great customer service! I called several Leslie's Pool Supplies looking for the 74 Quart Cooler advertised on the web. I called two times to the Balboa store they had the cooler in stock two colors! I drive 40 miles one way to get it. Get there wait! No other customers in site, both bathrooms empty some young ??? woman finally comes out! Who knows what she was doing not waiting on customers. I ask where are the 75 quart coolers? She leads me to the where the 75 quart coolers are. She leads me to the front of the store here they are "22" quart! I ask does that look like 75 quarts? Well this is what we have. I drive 80 miles!!! There Help is so dumb in this store they don't know Big from little!!! Really a total waist of my time. Dumb...Dumb!!) I started getting my water tested early this year at the Mira Mesa store. I though with their sophisticated testing device they would steer me right in maintaining my 250 gallon spa. Instead, they had me buying over a hundred dollars worth of chemicals formulated for swimming pools, and every time I went in the 'test' naturally said my water still wasn't right. Alan Perry is an Amiable store manager at Leslie's pool supplies store on 5943 Balboa Ave, San Diego, CA. He has not only an amazing ability to quickly identify actual exterior problem, but potential interior problems of my pool vacuum robot cleaner When I first brought my equipment to his store at 06:45PM on 26 May 29, 2021. The minute he has heard that I needed the equipment badly as debris kept falling into my pool while it is going through major renovation process, he has answered that I would do my best to get it repaired tomorrow. The very next day, I received a call from Alen saying my equipment was ready for picking up and it turned out that a screw of the interior turbulence kit was missing, resulting in its malfunctioning for months. For my exterior wing break/replacement of the robot cleaner, it only costed me $17.23 for repair with Leslie's reward program. I am very grateful for Alen's exceptional customer services and would highly recommend others to this store for great experience as I have had with Alan and his team (in the past) in the future. read more

The guy with the long sandy Jaír working Tuesday morning 9/9/20 isn't very bright ! I expressed to him I was looking for an item I saw online and he didn't really bother to help me . Afterward I found a different item which was on the Leslie's.com website at 34.99 with the additional sign saying this price and item was only available in store . I asked the guy politely if they honor the online price he said no. I was upset because how could the website tell me to get the item at the BALBOA location, yet the same location tried to jack up the price and not honor the online price . Leslie on balboa needs to get with the program your corporate website says one thing and you should honor it . It's customer service . Shows why people buy stuff for pools at Walmart now . Was calling to talk to Alan the manager about my cleaner , no one answers after endless calls, we took it in and the young lady there said he know longer works there , so she promised us she would look at our cleaner tomorrow . Wow how nice . But when we told her we been calling she didn't even apologize or acknowledge she cared. Kind of nervous after not hearing that. Long story short we called for about a week and still no Answer so we went in to be greeted by a different person and asked us if we needed help. We explained what happened with Breena and manager apologize and went to straight help us out! Superb service with a smile . Within 10 min or less my cleaner was done . How easy was that? I told her she needs to stay at this location because these kids are rude and not knowledgeable. She mentioned she was covering from another store and will do her best to talk to them.
