I bought this Sundance spa from this company in 2008. It has been a great spa with very few problems and I was able to resolve them myself. I had a topside controller stop working and called them to get a part. They didn't have exactly what I needed and said they would be back in touch. They never called. I got it from Easy Spa Parts. I then called about the spa motor controller because I wanted to change out the circuit board as well. The part was not available, so I found it at Pool and Spa Store and it arrived in 2 days. I called Champagne Spas about having them install it and they said I would get a call in 48 hours. The call never came. I installed everything myself. So if you want service on a spa they sold to you. GOOD LUCK! read more

Buyer beware! At first they seem great, the sales staff was awesome but that's where it stops. One bad experience after another once they get your money. Upon delivery the staff damaged/cracked 2 of the corner panel's sliding the spa on its side to its location. It was drug on the ground with a thin plastic mat. Once it was on the pad they attached the cover, while doing so they misaligned the connection points and warped the 2 side panels. So I needed to have 4 of the 8 panels replaced before it was even hooked up. After that the the lift assist shock was frozen and had to be replaced,they did bring a new one the next day. As for warranty work, they sub out all the work. So if you are a lucky person that needs things fixed and replaced you are in for a treat. Be prepared to constantly have to text and call to try and get someone out to do the warranty work. You have to be the one following up and checking on the status or just wait forever without any communication. I am currently at close to 7 weeks waiting for them to come out and fix multiple issues. Not great considering you spent almost 20k on a new spa sitting dry. When scheduling repairs you get the professionalism of probably some time next week, I will let you know you are told. Five days pass by without any communication so you get to reach out again and are told it will be Monday I will get back to you with a time. Three more days pass so you get to reach back out and ask for an update and time frame. You finally schedule and guess what?You get a cancellation a few hours before they are supposed to show up. They are missing a part that they didn't bother to look at for 2 weeks . Nothing like sitting on something for weeks and then checking on it a few hours before they are supposed to arrive.You get plenty of apologies but nothing is done to compensate. I will never do business with champagne or the subbed repair company again. I would suggest you look at a better company and find out how they handle repairs. These are just a few of the issues I have had and have never been asked how they can make it right . I still don't have a time frame and it will be 2 months in a few days. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to update my review but I want to share and warn current and potential buyers about my experience. Champagne Spa does a great job of selling you hot tubs. They provide great customer service while they try to get you to make a purchase but the second you have any problems or issues, this "great" customer service seems to disappear. The manager, Amanda, is rude, defensive and flat out makes up lies to cover her tracks. Their certified technician, Jason, is impossible to get a hold of. He works two days a week and you often have to call him multiple times in order to talk to him. It takes several weeks to get any work orders completed and only after you hound him down to come out. Long story short, after months of back and forth discussions and ultimately Champagne Spa ignoring our calls and emails, we are left with a crappy hot tub that doesn't work. A mark of a great business is one that can provide excellent customer service for all circumstances, not just when they are trying to get your money. Sure you'll be fine if everything is working with your hot tub but if you run into any problems, buyer beware. Update to my update: I don't want to get into an unproductive back and forth discussion with the manager, Amanda, who has a history of fabricating information and going back on her word, so I will leave it at my review. read more

So I'm a 1st time hot tub owner and did my research before picking Champagne Spas. Cindy was who I dealt with and she was amazing! She insisted my friend and I bring our swimsuits to test some spas before deciding on one. I ended up upgrading to a nicer model after realizing the jets were more powerful and this is a long time investment. After hours spent in the store on Memorial Day, I had made my decision! The delivery was 1 week after ordering since it was a busy holiday week for them.The delivery was on time, the guys super nice and funny to talk with and it went smooth as can go! I start filling up the spa when I realize there's a leak coming out the bottom. I call Cindy who seems to always pick up the phone and be easy to get in touch with, she calls Jason their service tech who was in Orange County that day until 9pm and he offers to come down that same night at 10pm to fix it. That's incredible service right there! Jason is super nice and helpful and fixed the issue that was no one's fault in a swift 15 minutes. Sometimes cars, spas, electronics, etc. have factory issues, it happens. Next day the spa is filled, all is working but I'm unsure of the chemical startup procedure as I am a newbie to this all. So I of course call Cindy yet again, she picks up and helps me right away and boom 24 hours after delivery I'm sitting in my Sundance brand tub typing this review! If you're unsure of the many companies to go with for a spa, call this company and speak to Cindy, she'll be patient with you and not pushy or salesperson like at all. She'll ensure you are happy and will pick up to answer any further questions you may have. Jason told me to save his number and call or text anytime with any questions. What an amazing team of people they have at Champagne Spas! We chose champagne spas because of the people, which are all lovely. Unfortunately their main supplier, Sundance is the reason I'm giving them a low score. We purchased a Bristol that came with a leak from the start. Due to the new flex fill which they moved to for insulation during the pandemic, it kept the technician from finding the leak and working on it. Instead we were offered a new replacement. Sundance said they would be going back to their old full foam insulation by May, so we waited for months only to be told that they would not be moving forward with full foam. In other words, we would only get a replacement with the same flex fill which could potentially be a problem in the future. Champagne gave us a full refund minus the cost to hook it up. We ended up getting a Vita Spa from Bull Grills & Spas for about $1100 less. Had we not had that savings, we would have eaten 2 electrical set up fees that was near 1k. Again the girls there are lovely but I'm afraid their supplier, Sundance, is just not the best at manufacturing nor customer service. It's been exactly 1 year from purchase and we finally have a working spa. read more

My wife and I originally ordered a swim spa from Master Spas. After their lack of customer service and lack of honesty we canceled our contract with them. My wife and I walked into Champagne Spas and met with Karen. Karen was professional and knowledgeable about the product being sold at their store. We sat down with Karen and explained our concerns and needs. Karen explained to us the differences with their spas and other competitors spas. Karen made it very easy for us to sign a contract and order a 15' swim trainer Tidalfit swim spa. Karen never gave us an unrealistic delivery date and she provided us with a serial number to our swim spa. This assured us we were on the list for a swim spa. Karen also explained to us how the manufacturing plants were behind due to COVID and it would take 6 to 8 months for delivery. Karen kept us informed and up to date with the status of our swim spa. She always remembered us and made us feel like family and not a number. We also met with Rick who made us feel relaxed about the delivery and assured us the swim spa could be delivered to our house with little to no inconvenience to us. They set up the crane for us and even got me in contact with one of their electricians. The electrician came out and saw I already had the wiring but it needed to be changed due to the type of swim spa we purchased. The electrician was fair and reasonable with the price. The day of delivery the crane showed up early and put me at ease on lifting the swim spa. Then I got the pleasure of meeting Ed the spa delivery guy and one of his workers. Ed was a pleasure and we talked about the east coast. Ed and his helper placed my swim spa into my deck. Man, they made everything look so easy. After the crew left we realized the swim spa was slightly hanging over the cement slab. I made a phone call to Champagne Spas and Ed sent some guys out the next day and fixed it. The first couple of weeks I called Champagne Spas continuously asking a lot of questions. Amy walked me through the chemical portion and their staff never seemed annoyed. I have owned my Artesian Antigua Spa now that I purchased @Champagne Spa for about 3 months now. First off, I have to say that Amanda Lane provided my wife and I, amazing service! She was not pushy, provided us with all the information we needed to make a great purchase decision. I was able to wet test an Artesian spa in action and within 2 weeks, bought the spa. I had no issues with delivery - they were courteous, professional, and taught me the basics of using the spa...and some useful tips. Just a little tip, use a qualified, licensed electrician or you will end up having one fix a problem that a less capable "electrician" install. Then I ran into issues with the 3rd pump for the foot-blasters turning on but will not turn back on once it shuts off until after 1hr of non-use. I emailed Amanda and right away, I was contacted by Jason who helped me troubleshoot the problem. He replaced the pump. Since I had to drain the tub, Amanda provided me with a free set of the frog kit, which I really appreciated! Replacing the pump did not help so Jason troubleshooted and replaced the control panel. That fixed the problem! The spa has now been running great! We love our spa purchase!! Amanda and Jason has given me nothing but great service before, and after purchase! I would highly recommend this company, as well as Artesian Spa. read more

Following up on response. RESPONSE IS NOT ACCURATE IT IS QUITE DISTORTED. I am a business owner and thrive on yelp because I have EXCELLENT communication and customer service. Your Response is nothing short of lies. Whats not getting refunded to me is the cost of electrical and whats not happening is getting the spa I wanted. This lady got triggered when I hung up, with an already very nasty attitude towards me over the entire call. She directed the narrative of the conversation and gave me zero option, even though I could remove the dispute if corrected. However with our conversation it was clear it was going down exactly like she intended with not option for me but to take a refund. NOT WHAT I WANTED. I hung up because the conversation came to a dead end there was nothing left for me to say nor for her to say so I hung up as the conversation was over not hung up because I was mad there was literally nothing left to say she told me how it was going to go down I was left with no option after explaining I didn't want to refund I wanted a hot tub a new one that I paid for not a broken one or a repaired one. She said we are beyond that point I cannot help you we will give you a full refund as she repeatedly said with a huge attitude. She called me right back as she was triggered claiming I hung up on her I told her I did the conversation was done there was not a midsentence hangup it was a concluded Conversation and she called me back to tell me that we're not children and we don't hang up so adding an insult to the entire situation is quite short of good customer service. Your description of what the service guy told me and what he actually told me is completely inaccurate he said that it is leaking like a waterfall that this is the fourth spa he's come to that has had this issue and that he's certain there is a crack. And that the company had had a meeting with the manufacturer because this problem continue to happen. The drain cap was checked in person on the phone with RICK your description again completely on accurate I was expected to take apart the Jacuzzi and inspect where the leak was coming as I said I would if I could but there's no reason to delay my service to rely on me to service your products or do your job. There were no words spoken about it too tight of fitting. I'm done pinpointing the multiple lies as There are many more down your entire response. You've completely manipulated the situation with your response and it's utterly ludicrous that you need to lie to make yourself look better on yelp. Her statement is completely inaccurate and articulated to seem like they did a good job and that I was being unseasonable. My calls were not returned to me as promised. He came out, diagnosed the problem and scheduled a time to install the needed parts. On the day of installation he confirmed our appointment. I wasn't home at the time but he installed everything and sent me the invoice. He did what I expected.....called and followed through with what he said he would do. One hiccup though....he failed to replace all the screws into the access panels and pinched the cover between the panel and the spa itself. Sometimes it's the little things that make a good company great or a great company good. For my entire experience I am only marking them with four stars. I purchased the Sundance Altimar spa from Sundance Spas of Orange County (aka Champagne Spas) in late October 2013. Prior to my purchase I shopped around a little bit after initially going into the Mission Viejo showroom, but it was clear to me the quality and service I would get from Sundance would far exceed other dealers/brands and for me it was worth the price. Emmett Morries was an excellent sales person. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions (this is my first spa so there were ALOT of questions). Once I closed on my new home and was ready to buy the Spa, Emmett worked up a nice deal for me and the order was placed. At that time I had a date in mind (a friend planning to visit from out of town) and reeeally wanted to be able to have the Spa delivered, craned into my patio and electrical hooked up by that date. Originally it was going to be highly unlikely the timeframe could be met....but Emmett, Ed, Amanda and the folks at Champagne made it happen!!! :-) Like clockwork Sundance showed up on that Friday at 10am to put together the spa pad and unload the spa. Parks Crane Service was right there to expertly hoist the spa into the 9' x 9' patio (yes, a very tight fit)! And then once I filled the spa with water, Victor Campadonia and his team from The Spa Connection were immediately on site to do the final electrical hook ups and testing! In between all this I was able to pick my friend up at the airport....and by late afternoon we were enjoying the jets, bubbles and SunScents!! :-) I was VERY impressed that Champagne Spas really worked hard to make the timing work for me...and certainly all the referred providers (Parks Cranes and The Spa Connection) together as a team made it happen. The post sale support has also been excellent!! Since this is my first Spa I had alot of ongoing questions about water maintenance, using the test strips etc etc. Emmett has been very helpful. I have had one slight mechanical issue which arose this past week (6 weeks after delivery). Jason has been incredible! The responsiveness can't get any better. The replacement part was ordered and Jason was at my home within a week making the repair (under warranty, of course). I feel very well taken care of and am VERY VERY happy I purchased a Sundance Spa and happy to have such a great dealer should I need anything in the future. We bought a Sundance Chelsee dream spa in Feb 2014. Karen and Amanda were both incredibly helpful in making the decision, offering pros and cons regarding all our concerns. Make sure when you visit the Kearny Villa showroom to bring your bathing suit! First visit I sat in dry spas and was certain I would buy a lounger seat model. Returned with my suit and got into a few models filled with water. The loungers were very uncomfortable because I floated. The Chelsee offers a lot of seating options and is roomy for a party or relaxing for one. It took us time to properly prepare the site with the electric and concrete setup. Delivery was very smooth and for a little extra we chose a custom cover. We love our spa and sometimes use it twice a day, much more than our neighbors who chose built-in propane pool spas. The BaquaSpa cleaning system is quick and efficient. Our electric did go up a bit as expected. Then we got solar panels - turn up the jets! Favorite activity is stargazing especially during the winter night sky after a hard day working in the yard. Thank you Champagne Spas! read more

Unfortunately I did not look at the reviews before purchasing my spa from Champagne spas. Two years into my ownership and the spa is shorting out, and I am unable to diagnose. I called the main number and was told that Jason would call me to schedule time to resolve the problem. Well, Jason called and said he was only available NOT on the days I was available and then proceeded to tell me the heater on the spa was likely shot. So, this is his version of resolving issues - diagnosing over the phone. Sorry, the lack of customer service came through loud and clear. I originally called champagne spas to get help with an airlock that I cannot solve. They started off incredibly helpful and gave me the number of Jason whom I read was a great repair guy. Unfortunately, we are going on our third week and Jason is currently ignoring phone calls and has not helped at all. He recently said he was going to stop by approximately 10 days ago and I have not heard from him since. We bought our Altamar spa back in May of 2015 with the expert help of Amanda who very patiently and professionally took us through their lineup of spas and helped us find the one that would best suit our needs. She also gave us a great recommendation for an electrician to set up our electrical service. The delivery and installation crew was skilled and friendly making sure everything was set up right. We have enjoyed our spa for over two years now and have only had a few very minor service needs that were taken care of very quickly under warranty by Jason and the service team. Champagne Spas has also been our go-to source for spa chemicals and filters. We recently found out when we needed help getting a replacement access panel that the entire organization from the local spa dealer to the Sundance corporate office is top notch when it comes to customer service and support for their products. I feel that it is only fair to update my previous rating to an A-OK. After I wrote my previous review, Amanda called me to discuss my experience. I must say that she was very professional and fully understanding of my position and feelings with my service experience. I think my comments were helpful for Champagne Spas to review my concerns with their service personnel. Hopefully, this was only a small glitch and they have rectified the situation and stress the importance of follow-up. Again, Sundance Products are excellent products and Amanda's followup restored my confidence for customer care. Amanda stated that she has been with Champagne Spas for over 12 years so I'm sure her word is reliable.
