We came expecting a pleasant dinner based on the restaurant's reputation. Unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment. We waited more than an hour for our food. With four young children and a baby at the table, this was extremely difficult, particularly because there was no meaningful explanation or apology for the delay. Two adults ordered burgers that tasted distinctly sour. After they had finished eating, we noticed several other tables returning burgers to the kitchen. We cannot know the reason, but seeing several other guests apparently returning the same dish was certainly concerning. We were already exhausted by the long delay and simply wanted to leave. What made the experience even more disappointing was the restaurant's response afterward. Rather than immediately posting a negative review, I contacted the owner, Nick Matush, directly and explained what had happened. When he did not respond, I sent a polite follow-up reminder. There was still no response. We therefore gave the restaurant every reasonable opportunity to address our concerns privately before writing this review. Unfortunately, the experience left us with the impression that neither the service nor the customer's concerns were taken seriously. For visitors coming to Vermont and expecting a memorable meal, our experience was the opposite. A major gap between reputation and reality. Disappointed is an understatement.

I had some corn beef hash too so that filled me up a bit, but this thing is massive! Definitely could've taken it down in my college days. I will have to come back to try and defeat it again. I then had a breakfast burrito with tofu scramble, avocado and hash browns. The burrito was heavy handed with hash browns but it was a simple fix as I just removed what I didn't want. The burrito was filling and delicious. I also liked the coffee ( they only have whole or oat milk). My husband had one pancake which was gigantic! It was hanging off the plate! The maple syrup was light and not too sweet. He also had a breakfast taco with bacon, eggs and hash (which was again loaded with extra hash he had to remove). This was another filling dish.
