They pack 4 patients per room which I have never seen before. There's zero privacy and yet they'd rather have you crap in a bucket than help you to the restroom. Her sheets got dirty at one point and remained that way for days. My mom is a vegetarian which was listed right on the food paperwork yet every meal for 11 days included meat except two times. Every time she'd complain it would take forever to get a vegetarian replacement. They left her in bed for 11 days with a person coming once a day to walk back and forth for a few minutes. She desperately needed to increase her strength but they just left her there to wither away in bed. Due to paperwork issues she was stuck. They wouldn't release her home and couldn't get her into a nursing home for days. After 11 days they sent her to a nursing home that kept her another 8 days in bed. By the time my dad took my mom home she didn't have the strength to move on her own. Their diagnosis and treatments didn't match what her primary doctor diagnosed once out. Luckily once back home my mom's doctor got her in home therapy 4 days a week. It's been 1.5 weeks and she's already making positive progress. It's sad to see how understaffed hospitals are these days given the insane prices they charge. On a positive note all the staff was extremely friendly. The physical therapist had a gift so it's a shame she can't spend more time per patient. This hospital really makes me appreciate the hospital we go to in Fountain Valley

CenExel is part of Atlanta Center for Medical Research (ACMR). The process and the study I…read moreparticipated in was great. That being said, I have been trying to be paid for my March 31st-May 9th participation in the study. Their pamphlets/contract state you are paid within a couple of days of your participation. I have been nickel and dimed. I have always had to ask for my payment. I had to contact the Independent Review Board (Advarra) to help me receive my compensation and on May 20th a few days after IRB contacted the study they paid everything, but $350. The $350 I am owed is because I participated in 13 physical therapy treatments and CenExel/ACMR only compensated me for 12 physical therapy visits. Unfortunately, I referred 3 people to the study. This was before they started playing hide and seek with my compensation. I have asked the Independent Review Board (Advarra) to inquire about the $350 they still owe me. The Independent Review Board will assist study participants when they have issues with a study process or management. I am grateful that the IRB exist. When they first started not paying and being unresponsive to emails, I researched what recourse I had when the study does not pay. I was hoping I did not have to contact them, but I was glad they existed and was there to assist me. I finally received the $350 0n June 6th. About 2 weeks after receiving the balance of my compensation I received an email from the clinical director Christy Carroll stating I was being released from the study (without receiving my final exam). I guess they let their feelings get in the way and kicked me and "do no harm" and "duty of care" to the curb. This study is the gift that keeps on giving. Here it is September 16,2025 and my participation in this study is like being in a relationship with someone that is mad at you for not letting them mistreat you. I had been feeling some aches and pains and thought it was just recovery. I obviously could not go to CenExel/ACMR with my concerns since I was basically thrown away for requesting my past due compensation. I asked about the final exam and was ignored. My PCP sent me for an Ultrasound to check for a blood clot, and they identified a Baker's Cyst at the surgical site. CenExel/ACMR would not have found the cyst in a final exam since they only use x-rays that identify bone not soft tissue, and they never physically touch the surgical site. Even though they threw me away like yesterday's garbage I did let them know that a Baker's Cyst is the result of their process. There is no right way to do the wrong thing! Here it is Nov 30th and the ACMR/CenExel never responded to the IRB inquiry about me not having a final assessment, my Baker's Cyst & the left side of my knee still being numb. The IRB never responded to me they received a response. I was under the impression that the study had to respond to the IRB, but I was obviously wrong. If there are no requirements for the study to respond to the IRB then what is the purpose of the IRB? Last week I was having a study interview with a different clinical research agency and they asked me had I been in any other study's and I told them I had been in one for my knee and I advised them that my knee was still numb. They were surprised that my knee was still numb from the nerve block 8 months after surgery. They said I might consider seeking legal advice. ACMR always said the numbness would go away they just never said when. Tomorrow, I am going to call a couple of law firms for a legal advice. Below is a picture of my knee after they took the staples out. I don't know if the surgeon Dr. Gupta or the receptionist stapled my knee closed, as you can see, they did a horrible job. I am lucky I did not get an infection with the gaps between the crooked staples. I have also included a photo of the commode with no safety bars and the food from the gas station they tried to feed me as a 3-day inpatient.

I usually don't write reviews on hospitals, it's staff or treatment and care of patients,…read moreespecially in- patient care. This one affects me personally and needs to be brought to public attention. If you are considering going to this hospital for treatment for yourself or a loved one, don't do it! Go to any hospital other than this one! Let me share: Recently, two close friends of mine, trusted this hospital for care of their beloved aging dad who was having breathing problems. They took their dad to the ER believing this was the best route to get immediate care for him. After hours of waiting unseen and untreated by a doctor or nurse who finally examined their dad which resulted in the doctor suggesting he be admitted for tests and treatment. My friends were naturally concerned for their dad and trusted that he would get the best possible treatment while in this hospital, so they agreed he being admitted for care. Unfortunately and sadly, this was not the case. My friends were met by rude medical staff. Their dad was left in a room with very little attention and uncared for. When medical staff finally did come to treat him, it was for a procedure that required inserting a tube into him to help him breathe, this procedure which resulted in them puncturing his lung and causing internal bleeding must have been done by a butcher, because the procedure caused multiple other health problems that compromised his heart and all his vital organs. He was at this hospital for several days with little and often no care. His room was dirty, his meals were late, he was left in pain and needed meds to give him comfort. Those needs were not met! Whenever my friends asked for help for him they were met by rude nurses and other medical staff. Apparently, elderly patients who are ailing and weak dont matter to the staff at this facility. Even the security guard on duty was rude and intimidating towards my friends. It's obvious that the procedure he initially had which punctured his lung and the neglect in treatment for the damage done by unprofessional staff led to his death. He would be alive today if only the medical staff had cared enough to treat him properly. My friends are deeply saddened and naturally devastated by the loss of their dad. I hope they sue this hospital, it's staff, and the Security Guard. I also hope this hospital gets closed down by the state of California Medical Board. Since this tragedy I've heard numerous complaints and stories about the treatment or lack of , at this hospital. I repeat don't go to this hospital for care because you wont get it especially if you are elderly! If I needed medical attention, I would rather go to a Veterinarian for treatment! Please share this review with your friends and loved ones so they don't make the same fatal mistake.

So I left a positive review the other day because my 2 experiences with this place were good. TODAY…read morenot so much. The girl in the front really put me off. I called to ask if they can do labs and testing she said YES. She said on the phone they could do a blood draw and test for potassium overload. When I got there she said I needed to be evaluated and the dr. Would decide if I needed to be tested. I ask how long would results take and she said 3 to 5 days it goes to a third party lab. So NO YOU DON'T DO LABS!! If you lie to me once you don't get a second chance. I will be looking somewhere else for my urgent care needs. Training is key. UPDATE: The response isn't what I was told. It wasn't a miscommunication problem. Your girl, I came in contact with needs training. She is the first person the public comes in contact with. I don't remember her name but I remember her attitude. I ask specifically if you did labs and testing her answer was NO we send it to a third party. So Instead of leaving an advertisement for your business in the response you should use your time to train your staff. I don't need to discuss this further you know what you need to do.
