I brought my anxious and sometimes snippy dog in recently as a test to see if she could handle it. I have groomed her the post 5 years and today I took her in. She did so well!! She didn't snip or growl at the groomers. I credit them for her being comfortable and calm during her bath, cut, and nail trim. So happy to find a good place to take my furbabies. One of the workers in the back saw me when I walked in but wouldn't get off her phone to respond. She finally came to the front when she finished her call.

Instead, they made the decision themselves, charged me full price, and then acted like not charging extra for dematting was some favor. The grooming itself was sloppy too they left a long forgotten lock of hair on one ear and gave her an uneven face trim that looks nothing like the teddy bear inspiration photo I showed them. I feel that after this phone call I didn't feel very confident in making an appointment. Because there was no clear time that my dog was going to be done. I originally asked about a walk-in but would make an appointment if necessary. I didn't want my dog to be there all day. They just tried to say they had a different system, no direct answer for confidence/ or comfortable in making the appt. Which she never explained a different system, just sounds like they seem to take a ton of dogs in the morning and then just pump them out when you can get them done.
