The spread! Yummy and so colorful!

Let's Meat at Let's Meat KBBQ! Hands down my absolute favorite KBBQ spot in Charlotte. Fun fact: This is Charlotte's FIRST AYCE KBBQ restaurant, which makes it even cooler and they've clearly set the bar high. The restaurant space is roomy, lively, and welcoming, with beautiful wall art that pays homage to Korean culture. The vibe is fun, the music is good, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, whether it's your first time doing KBBQ or you're a regular KBBQ lover like me. Their operating hours are great! Now let's talk FOOD. The meat and pork quality is LEGIT. I've been to plenty of KBBQ spots, and Let's Meat does not cut corners. The marinades are flavorful, the proteins are well-prepared. They have everything from Kalbi (Korean marinated short rib), pork belly, beef brisket, some seafood options like squid and shrimp, and chicken. The dipping sauces take everything to the next level. Everything's a total flavor bomb. And the banchan?! As a huge banchan lover, I appreciate that they offer unlimited banchan with great variety AND great flavor. So many places skimp on this. Let's Meat KBBQ absolutely does not. They also have amazing Korean street food snacks, like crispy Korean fried tempuras, and their Korean steamed egg (gyeran-jjim) is soft, fluffy, and so comforting- an absolute must-order alongside the grill. The corn cheese is a must. Also, saw some traditional Korean cold noodle- Nengmyun and spicy noodles that I love so will have to come back and get that next time. They offer all-you-can-eat options, which is incredible for the quality and quantity you get. You can also get some vegetable options to grill and you have to get the lettuce to make the perfect bite of all the yummy stuff you get from the grill. On top of that, their drink selection is fun and nostalgic, with a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, including classic Asian drinks I loved growing up and some newer favorites. Bonus: they often run promotional deals, so it's worth following them on social media. The price point is more than fair for the experience, quality, and portions. If you want great food, great vibes, and a great time, go support this local gem. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. I can't wait to go back to Charlotte and when I do Let's Meat KBBQ!

Been a bunch of times, but never had the kalbi till this past week. If you didn't know, they are running a special till 3/31 where certain add ons are included in the AYCE. Kalbi was delicious! We left happy and dreaming about more kalbi.

Says they'll validate parking but no codes work. But if you don't have park mobile account and use park mobile website they won't validate parking

Food was top tier went to celebrate my sons bday we opted in for the regular menu, premium didn't really have much other than lamb, wagu(+12$), and some other stuff you can still get by on high quality with the regular menu. Service was great, the gentleman that served us made my son's day, and was very attentive although it was a busy Friday night. We look forward to dinner here again in the near feature

Last weekend I had an early dinner at Let's Meat. I've been to a few Korean BBQ restaurants. It was a pleasant experience, and although it wasn't my favorite kbbq ever, we were satisfied. Pros: Great service in casual atmosphere. We lucked out with our waitress (the blonde haired lifesaver who helped us tremendously when we struggling to cook the food properly). They give you a coupon code with a $2.00 credit for parking (although the code I received was invalid). Bulgogi was on the menu, and it was easily the best item they offer. The prices listed didn't exceed $30.00 pp like most of the Korean BBQ places I've tried. Cons: Parking may be a smidge of a pain. The menu was pretty limited. Less meat and side options than all of the other similar restaurants I've tried. The helpers weren't too friendly. Our waitress would take our re-up order, and someone else would bring the items to the table. The female runner helping out had a bit of an attitude...she never said one word, even when we acknowledged her. All-in-all, our food was tasty and our waitress couldn't have been any better. It's worth a visit.

A few more things to add the list of "must try" Ribeye Chili Shrimp Fatty Brisket Just try not to sit Daniel's section (I think that's his name). Hispanic kid, he wasn't very attentive. An Asian male server with glasses actually was more helpful. He's dope. Thanks...

Do not waste your money. This place is not worth it. I been to other Korean BBQ place and this is the only place that limits you so much. For example, you can only pick 3 proteins at a time even in a big group. Which I would guess if the portion size made sense but they would bring small pieces of meat for 10 people like it is basically a single serving. Also, it is impossible to get the server to order more. So a lot of the time you are waiting. So basically it all you can eat but small portion and they make sure you don't get your food fast enough. Now about the food taste there literally no flavor and the meat not consistent. Like we order the beef bulgogi multiple times because it the only meat that had some sort of flavor but sometimes it come out completely different. There are also not enough bathrooms in this place. It is always packed and they only have two gender-specific bathrooms. Which is really inconvenient as there always a wait.

Second KBBQ I've been to in the charlotte area. First one was Iron Dish. They have more side plate options than Iron Dish. The service was relatively fast and the food was good. Decent pricing for all you can eat too! Downside: I don't think they have their own parking lot (and if they do; it was very small and offered limited space). So be prepared to pay $15 for parking.

Can solo dinner do AYCE option?

    Yes

    Do they have bimimbap?

    They do now!

Is there a parking lot or do I have to fight over street parking?

There's a medium size parking lot, then some other nearby lots and street parking for backup, so odds are that no matter when you go you should be able to get a decent spot within reasonable walking distance

    Do we need Reservations?

They don't do reservations! First come first serve.

Is Let's Meat pretty busy for Saturday Lunch and Dinner?

    YES! Expected 1 - 1 1/2 hrs wait time.

Is there outdoor seating and is it dog friendly?

    No and no

Is this a good place to go for just two people for a date?

This is a great place for two people on a date. It's a very casual atmosphere. You can set the pace at which the food is delivered and cooking together is always fun.

    Do they have pescatarian options?

Yes, they have squid and shrimp!

Are they open for inside dining?

Yes at 50% for phase 2 of covid 19

    How much per person?

I think it was $29.99 per person.

Would it be worth it to come here as a vegetarian?

No, for the price it wouldn't be worth it given all you could eat is the small number of vegetarian sides and vegetables that you could grill.

    Do they serve soju?

    They do!

What is their max table seating?

Roughly 8 for a booth, but I'm sure they have tables to accommodate large groups for 10-15 people.

What is the ages for it to be determined as a kid?

    4-10 years old

Is it $30 for lunch or is lunch a lower price?

Lunch is now $19.99 for adults since their instagram reached 10,000 followers

Is it less expensive to go for lunch?

You're in luck, they just announced on Instagram that thru August (2019) they're running a lunch special $19.99 Monday - Thursday. You just have to show them that you follow them on Instagram!

    Do they accept apple/samsung pay?

    yes

    So they have rice paper?

    No, they do not.

Do they have this brown sauce for the meat ?I think it's soy sauce mixed with something else makes everything better!!

I’m not sure if it’s the brown sauce you’re talking about, but they give four different types of sauces when you sit down! I’m sure they’ll have exactly what you are looking for!!

Are there any meat options that don't contain soy?

Yes, they have a lot of meats that are not marinated in anything. You just cook and then you can dip it into sauces for flavor.

After striking out at two other BBQ spots on a Saturday night, I landed at Mac's Speed Shop around…read more8:30 p.m. and ended up having a surprisingly enjoyable experience. Mac's sits in the heart of South End and shares the neighborhood with several busy bars and nightlife spots. Parking can be a bit of an adventure, but they do have dedicated lots nearby. Once you're there, the setup is great: a large dining room, plenty of picnic-table patio seating, and my favorite option--a seat at the outdoor bar where the inside bar opens through a service window to the patio. The bartender, Alyssa, was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient while I stared at the giant menu trying to figure out what I wanted. When I asked for recommendations, she immediately suggested the burnt ends, BBQ baked beans, and Mexican street corn. Excellent call. The blackberry seasonal hard cider she recommended was delicious and paired beautifully with the meal. My only surprise was the price. At nearly $9, it was more than I expected for a cider, and I wish I had asked beforehand. The burnt ends arrived with bright pickled red onions that added the perfect acidic balance. The flavor was excellent--smoky, rich, and satisfying. That said, they leaned heavily toward the fatty side. The deeper I got into the serving, the more rendered fat I encountered compared to meat. Delicious? Yes. Light? Absolutely not. The BBQ baked beans were exactly what you want from a barbecue joint. The Mexican street corn was a standout and a refreshing contrast to all the richness. My only critique was that the burnt ends weren't served quite as hot as I would have liked, and by the end of the meal, the richness became overwhelming. That's probably more on me for ordering burnt ends at 9 p.m. than on Mac's. The final bill came to about $37 before tip, which felt a little steep for a solo barbecue dinner and cider. Looking back, I'd probably visit during lunch. Their weekday lunch specials around $10 look like one of the best values in South End. Would I come back? Absolutely. The service was warm, the recommendations were spot on, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food delivered exactly what a barbecue craving calls for. Next time, I'll arrive earlier, bring a bigger appetite, and maybe save the burnt ends for lunchtime. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. If you're exploring South End and craving barbecue, Mac's Speed Shop is worth a stop.

Then... the wheels fell off. Second chicken breast had clearly been sitting and cooking too long, and quickly became the dog's dinner. I probably got 2.5oz of good meat off that one, but truly a waste. And, c'mon, we don't have fresh tots coming at us? Mushier more than crunchier, and that was probably good as I shouldn't be eating those anyway. C'mon, Mac's ... you've got greatness in you! Bring it to life!

By itself they were fine, but combined with the pork in vinegar sauce, it was too much acid for me overall. Service was pleasant and attentive. No issues. Overall, I was happy with my meal.
